Tommy Robinson Pledges to Donate European Parliament Salary to Victims of Child Grooming If Elected

Independent journalist and European Parliament candidate Tommy Robinson has vowed to donate his salary to victims of sexual grooming, should he be elected.

Robinson is running as an independent MEP candidate in the North West.

Robinson announced his donation plans in a YouTube campaign video, saying that he will donate “100%” of any EU salary to “child victims of sexual grooming.” MEPs make roughly £7,500 a month before tax.

His offer has been rejected by a number of charities that help the victims, with over 40 women from these organizations signing an open letter saying they will not accept funds from him.

“They need to think of the victims, not of their own politicisation of the situation, that money is to go to any victims of sexual exploitation, including Muslims,” Robinson said in his response. “They are in no position to turn down money, they shouldn’t be. They should be in the position to help victims and if that money helps victims, which it does, gets them off the waiting list for counselling, then they are playing with the victims, not me.”

In May of last year, Robinson was arrested for contempt of court while filming outside a Pakistani grooming gang trial in Leeds, as the case was under a reporting ban. He was transported to prison the same day as his arrest.

His arrest and immediate imprisonment leads to protests all over the world — from London to Washington, DC.

In August, the charge was struck down by Lord Chief Justice Burnett and two other judges — but he will be subjected to a retrial next week. The Gateway Pundit will be in London covering the trial.
