DEVELOPING: McConnell Lunches With Susan Collins – Says He’s “Optimistic” About Kavanaugh Confirmation

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is fulfilling his promise to “plow through” and confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

McConnell just finished having lunch with Susan Collins, the RINO Senator from Maine who is waffling on her support for Kavanaugh.

McConnell says he’s “optimistic” after lunching with Collins.

Susan Collins is expected to announced her decision shortly.

The Senate Majority Leader filed cloture to end debate very late Wednesday night and held the procedural vote to advance the nomination on Kavanaugh Friday morning.

McConnell is working overtime to make sure he has the votes when the Senate votes Saturday evening.

Via FOX News reporter Chad Pergram: McConnell lunched today with multiple GOP senators, including GOP ME Sen Collins. McConnell says “we’re heading towards a final vote tomorrow afternoon, and I’m optimistic.”

Friday morning, three of four swing Senators voted 51 to 49 to advance Judge Brett Kavanaugh to a final vote on confirmation on Saturday.

Senators Susan Collins, Jeff Flake and Democrat Joe Manchin voted “yes” to advance Judge Kavanaugh to a final vote on Saturday.

RINO Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski voted “no” to advance Kavanaugh nomination–it looks like Murkowski will also be a “NO” on Saturday.

RINO Jeff Flake announced he will vote YES to confirm Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday.
