BREAKING: Cory Booker Releases ‘Confidential’ Kavanaugh Documents – Admits He May Be Ousted From Senate (VIDEO)

Editor’s note: This post was updated at 1:30 ET with a report from FOX News’ Shannon Bream.

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) released “committee confidential” Kavanaugh documents on Thursday whilst admitting he would be “knowingly violating the rules” and could possibly be ousted from the Senate.

Cory Booker released 12 pages of Kavanaugh emails wherein the Judge discussed racial inequality, including a thread with the subject line, “racial inequality.”

“I am right now, before your process is finished, I am going to release the email about racial profiling, and I understand the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate,” Booker said.

Of course the left is calling Cory Booker a hero for releasing confidential documents.

Shortly after Senator Booker released the confidential documents, Senator Grassley’s staffers released a large quantity of emails previously marked ‘confidential,’ and the emails Booker released were included in bulk of documents, reported The Hill.

FOX News reported:

“I’m saying I’m knowingly violating the rules,” Booker replied. “Senator Cornyn has called me out for it.”

“How many times are you going to tell us that?” Grassley replied.

Cornyn, at one point, read the Senate rule that says, “Any Senator, officer or employee of the Senate who shall disclose the secret or confidential business or proceedings of the Senate, including the business and proceedings of the committees, subcommittees and offices of the Senate shall be liable, if a Senator, to suffer expulsion from the body; and if an officer or employee, to dismissal from the service of the Senate, and to punishment for contempt.”

Booker replied, “Bring it.”

The Democrat also said, “This is about the closest I’ll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.”

A number of Democrats, including Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, threw their support behind Booker’s move.

“I completely agree with you. I concur with what you are doing…So if there is going to be some retribution against the senator from New Jersey, count me in,” Durbin said.

“We support what Sen. Booker is doing here,” Klobuchar said.

Update: FOX News’ Shannon Bream reported, “Senate Judiciary Committee staffers tell our @GriffJenkins that the documents SenBooker released today were already agreed to and cleared late LAST NIGHT. Not clear exactly which senators knew that before Booker publicly announced he was willing to violate policy and release.”
