Democrat Congressional Candidate Repeatedly Booed and Heckled During Debate for Supporting ICE (VIDEO)

A Democrat congressional candidate in Arizona was booed and heckled at least five times for supporting U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) during a debate on Thursday.

Ann Kirkpatrick, a candidate for Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District, raised her hand when asked by the moderator if any candidates would declare “support for ICE agents without any increased oversight.” She was the only candidate to do so.

The crowd erupted in an angry chorus of boos.

The candidates were next asked if they supported Democratic leadership condemning the recent comments made by Rep. Maxine Waters, in which she called for people to harass Trump administration officials.

Kirkpatrick was once again the only one to raise her hand — and she was once again the target of anger from the audience.

The candidate faced heckling from the audience at least three more times during the event.

“In June, a judge ruled that Kirkpatrick could appear on the primary ballot next month, even though some of her campaign documents contained incorrect residency information. The lawsuit challenging her appearance on the ballot was funded by the campaign of former Arizona state Rep. Matt Heinz, one of her opponents in the Democratic primary,” The Washington Free Beacon reports.
