During a press conference on Wednesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted that constituents in her district call her “a corporate pawn.”
The press conference was on the topic of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s victory against Democrat Joe Crowley, who had been believed to be the natural successor to Pelosi. The 78-year-old is drawing criticism from the left for downplaying the far-left challenger’s win.
Hilariously, the aging representative attempting to counter how far left she is by joking about her voters thinking she is a corporate pawn.

Pelosi’s attempt to distance herself from the left comes one day after the GOP released a viral ad calling out unhinged Democrats and spotlighting their radicalization.
The well-produced ad opens with Senator Bernie Sanders saying, “a few years ago, ideas that we talked about were thought to be fringe ideas, radical ideas, extremist ideas — those ideas are now mainstream,” over footage of graffiti that reads “revolution or death” and Kathy Griffin holding President Trump’s severed head.
