On Thursday it was revealed Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent a criminal referral for former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US Attorney’s office about the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation.
Andrew McCabe responded to the criminal referral through a spokesman.
McCabe’s spokesman said in response to the criminal referral from IG Horowitz:
“We were advised of the referral within the past few weeks. Although we believe the referral is unjustified, the standard for an IG referral is very low.
“We have already met with staff members from the US Attorney’s office. We are confident that, unless there is inappropriate pressure from high levels of the Administration, the US Attorney’s Office will conclude that it should decline to prosecute.”

This is not a good week for McCabe.
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is also asking the Department of Justice to investigate several Obama officials: Hillary Clinton, James Comey, McCabe and Loretta Lynch for possible crimes.
DeSantis and 10 other lawmakers sent a letter to the DOJ Wednesday,criminally referring Comey, Hillary Clinton, McCabe and Loretta Lynch for their investigations into Trump.
