BUSTED: Anchor Releases Audio Proving Michael Wolff Faked Earpiece Malfunction After Trump Affair Question (VIDEO)

Michael Wolff, the author of ‘Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,’ walked off Australian television after faking an earpiece malfunction when pressed if he was “absolutely sure” that President Trump was having an affair.

FORDHAM: “You said during a TV interview last month that you are absolutely sure that Donald Trump is currently having an affair, while President, behind the back of the First Lady. I repeat, you said you were absolutely sure.”

WOLFF: “Hold on, I can’t–”

FORDHAM: “Last week, you backflipped and said, ‘I do not know if the President is having an affair.’ Do you owe the President and the First Lady an apology, Mr Wolff?”

WOLFF: “I can’t hear you. Hello?”

FORDHAM: “Just last month you said you were absolutely sure that the President was having an affair, and now you say he is not.”

WOLFF: “I’m not getting anything.”

FORDHAM: “You are not hearing me, Mr. Wolff? Mr. Wolff was hearing me before, but he’s not hearing me anymore. So the interview may be over.”

Later, Fordham released the audio of what Wolff heard in his earpiece when the author claimed the anchor’s question wasn’t coming through.

Judging by the video, Wolff seemingly faked the earpiece malfunction.

On February 1st, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski (no fan of President Trump), kicked Wolff off the air after he denied suggesting Trump was having an affair with U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Daily Beast reported:

Wolff, author of Fire and Fury, the controversial book about Trump’s first year in office, denied he ever publicly suggested U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley had an affair with the president.

To that denial, a disgusted Brzezinski replied: “You might be having a fun time playing a little game dancing around this, but you’re slurring a woman. It’s disgraceful.”

When Wolff continued his denial, Brzezinski became frustrated: “Come on, are you kidding? You’re on the set of Morning Joe. We don’t BS here.”

She then gave him the boot. “I’m sorry, this is awkward, you’re here on the set with us, but we’re done. Michael Wolff, thank you.” Mika told the camera, “We’re gonna go to break now. Bye, everyone,” and the show cut to commercial.

Wolff went on a tweetstorm after the incident, claiming Haley vehemently denied a charge she was never accused of.

In a January interview, Wolff insinuated to HBO host Bill Maher that Trump’s was having an affair.

Vanity Fair reports:

During an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher Friday, Wolff said that he’s “absolutely sure” Donald Trump is currently having an extramarital affair with someone inside the White House.

When Maher asked Wolff to tell him “something that the other people have not noticed in this book,” Wolff said, “There is something in the book that I was absolutely sure of, but it was so incendiary that I just didn’t have the ultimate proof.” He then elaborated: “Well, I didn’t have the blue dress.”

Maher asked if Wolff was talking about somebody Trump is “f—ing now,” and Wolff nodded. “It is,” he said. “You just have to read between the lines. It’s toward the end of the book. . .You’ll know it. Now that I’ve told you, when you hit that paragraph, you’re gonna say, ‘Bingo.’”

According to POLITICO, “Readers quickly identified a passage in which Wolff wrote that Haley “had become a particular focus of Trump’s attention, and he of hers” and another in which he wrote “that [Haley], with requisite submission, could be his heir apparent.”
