Iranian Official Tells Guards at Saudi Embassy in Tehran to “Let it Burn!”
Iranian protesters stormed and torched the Saudi Embassy in Tehran on Sunday after the execution of a prominent Shiite cleric.
On Monday State Department Spokesman John Kirby said it was “too soon” to know whether the Iranian regime was responsible for the embassy attack.
Now there’s video of Iranian officials telling guards to let the embassy burn.
Iranian human rights activist Banafsheh Zand translated the video: The regime official tells the guard at the Saudi embassy in Tehran, who is trying to put out the fire, “Let it burn.” The guard then walks away and lets the embassy burn.
