In October of last year, Donald Trump was mocked by Progressives for stating that the official unemployment numbers released by the Obama administration were phony and that the real unemployment rate was much higher.
In what only can be described as a shockingly candid admission, a Progressive Senator just admitted the same thing that made Donald Trump the punching boy of the left; That the Obama administration’s official unemployment numbers are fake.
At the end of last month, during a speech to the Story County Iowa Democrat Party, Senator Bernie Sanders admitted that “official” unemployment numbers are different than “real” unemployment numbers. Real unemployment is much higher:
“Because when you see in the papers that official is 5.8%. I trust that you all understand that is different than real unemployment.
“Real unemployment, government figures, excludes those people who have given up looking for work and those people who are working part-time when they want to work full-time. If you add those numbers together government statistics tell you that real unemployment in America is over 11%. Youth unemployment, which we never talk about, is 18%. African-american youth unemployment is close to 30%.”
