Breaking: Florida Police Fired On Again – Two Attacks this Week

Another attack on Florida Police–
Orange County Police Van Shot WKMG

The war on first responders continues with now at least four attacks on them in the past few weeks in Florida.

Police officers in Central Florida are fortunate to be alive as shots were fired on them in separate attacks this week.

One attack was in Orlando located in Orange County, the other about an hour away in Melbourne in Brevard County.

Luck was with the officers as none were wounded in the shootings.

In Orlando two Orange County deputies were in an unmarked van were parked while on patrol in a crime-ridden neighborhood early Monday morning.

At around 3 a.m. an unknown gunman shot up the van on the passenger side. A photo shows four bullet holes including two in the front passenger door.

Later on Monday around 9 p.m., two Melbourne Police officers were talking outside their vehicles in a neighborhood in Palm Bay when several shots were fired in their direction.

The gunman in each attack escaped with officers neither returning fire nor getting a description of the shooters.

These are the latest shooting attacks on first responders in Florida. Just a few weeks ago deputies in Pasco County and firefighters in Jacksonville were fired upon. Like the recent attacks no one was hit however one fireman was grazed by a ricochet.

Tarpon Springs, Florida police officer Charles Kondek was shot and killed on December 21 by a fugitive trying to evade arrest.
