Elizabeth Warren Now An “Official Leader” of Democrats; Some Dems Wonder Why

Last week we reported on how there was talk among the Progressive Democrats about remaking the Party in the image of Elizabeth Warren. It would appear that this is coming to fruition.

Politico reports that Elizabeth Warren has officially been given a leadership role in the Democrat Party:

“CHRIS HAYES: Elizabeth Warren is now officially a leader of the Democrats. In a closed-door meeting today that lasted nearly 4 hours, Senator Warren’s colleagues in the upper chamber voted to give her an key role in reshaping the party’s policy.”

The fact that many on the right failed to see this coming, pales to the realization that the Huff Post reports many Senate Democrats didn’t see it either:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) got a promotion on Thursday. She now has a seat at the Senate Democratic leadership table and, in a role created just for her, she will serve as a policy adviser and voice for progressives.

Her colleagues have no idea why this is happening.

“A liaison to liberals? I’ve never heard of such a thing,” said Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), throwing his hands in the air. “I asked her about it and she said she was some kind of adviser. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what that all means.”

“I didn’t even know this was happening. I never knew it,” said Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). “I mean, they can pick whoever they want to.”

Considering the Democrat Party had no problem with lying to the American people when it came to Obamacare, it’s more than likely that they are feigning surprise at Warren’s promotion to a leadership role.

Warren for President in 2016 is becoming more and more likely, as there are daily signs that Hillary is being thrown under the bus.
