Russians Blame Brits for London Bombings

This is not another Ken Livingstone story!

Nearly two-thirds of Russians blame the British for the London bombings because of what they call a double standard:

64% of 1500 adult Russians surveyed last week by the Moscow-based Bashkirova & Partners pollster agree with the opinion that British authorities have created favorable conditions for terrorist attacks by hosting individuals accused of having links to terrorists.

In another development, Nikolai Zakharov, a spokesman for the FSB (Russian Federal Security Service), said last Wednesday, that Britain must curb some of its cherished civil liberties if it wants to avoid more suicide bomb attacks.

“People would come to understand that losing some rights was better than facing more attacks such as those in London on July 7,” Zakharov said, according to The Moscow Times.
