Cryin Schumer and Pelosi emerged from a meeting with President Trump Friday afternoon and spoke to the press.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said President Trump threatened to keep the government shut down for a long period of time — months or even years.

Schumer was extra dramatic on Friday.
“We made a plea to the president, don’t hold millions of Americans, hundreds of thousands of workers hostage–open up the government and let’s continue the discussions,” Schumer said.
“So we told the president we needed the government open. He resisted. In fact, he said he’d keep the government closed for a very long period of time, months or even years,” Schumer added.
Schumer and other Democrats refusing to fund the border wall are complete hypocrites — this is about playing politics and their hatred for President Trump.
Just a few years ago the Democrats were in favor of building barriers along the southern border to assist border patrol agents in keeping illegal aliens out of the country.
In fact, Chuck Schumer said not too long ago, “Illegal immigration is wrong plain and simple.”
Cry harder, Chuck. The American people voted for President Trump to build the wall and secure the border.
