BREAKING: DOJ Agrees to Give Chairman Nunes Secret Rosenstein Memo Detailing Mueller’s Scope

Fox News has learned Chairman Nunes will have access to Rosenstein’s memo detailing Mueller’s scope.

Chairman Nunes previously threatened AG Sessions with contempt if he didn’t hand over this pertinent document.

Nunes and Gowdy were invited to the DOJ Thursday for a classified briefing.

Fox News producer Jake Gibson reported Chairman Nunes and Rep Trey Gowdy were invited to the DOJ Thursday for a classified briefing.

Fox News reported:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy have been invited to the Justice Department Thursday for a classified briefing about Nunes’ latest requests for classified information related to the Russia investigation, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Fox News has learned this is a direct result of a meeting at the White House on Tuesday between Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, his deputy Ed O’Callahan and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

Rosenstein had been on official travel in New York but raced back to Washington for the meeting.

A source familiar with the situation tells Fox News that after the meeting the three held a speakerphone call with Nunes and Gowdy and told the lawmakers the DOJ would work with them in an effort to get them the information they have been seeking.

The Department of Justice shot back at Nunes shortly after he put Sessions on notice Sunday morning in a defiant letter once again stating they will not hand over the documents requested.

The DOJ dug in their heels over the weekend stating they would not comply with the subpoena.

It appears after a couple of successful meetings this week and facing threats of contempt, the DOJ has decided to give Chairman Nunes what he has been asking for.
