REPORT: Inspector General Report May Trigger Second Special Counsel As ‘Comey, Lynch & Clinton In Crosshairs’

In what is the deepest dive yet into Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation, independent researcher “TrumpSoldier,” has brilliantly laid out why it is likely the IG’s upcoming report will prompt a second special counsel — ultimately putting Comey, Lynch and Clinton in his crosshairs. Here is a review of the investigation via Zerohedge:

  • The DOJ is “taking a fresh look” into the Hillary Clinton email ‘matter’

  • The FBI has launched a new investigation into the Clinton Foundation the day after the Clinton’s Chappaqua property catches fire

  • Former FBI Director James Comey’s full Clinton memo was released, revealing felony evidence of changes which “decriminalized” Hillary Clinton’s behavior. Oh, and every one of the memos he leaked to his Cornell professor buddy was classifiedper a sworn statement by the FBI’s “chief FOIA officer” in a sworn declaration obtained by Judicial Watch.

  • The House Intelligence Committee will be granted access to “all remaining investigative documents,” unredacted, along with all witnesses sought per a deal reached between Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Nunes

  • Opposition research firm Fusion GPS was forced to hand over banking records detailing various clients and their intermediary law firms, including the Clinton Campaign and a Russian money launderer whose lawyer was none other than Natalia Veselnitskaya of Trump Tower meeting fame

In addition to TrumpSolider’s thread, New York Post reporter Paul Sperry says Horowitz is investigating Strzok for “possible Hatch Act breaches.”

In a now deleted tweet, Sperry reported via Twitter, “BREAKING: IG Horowitz investigating anti-Trump agent Strzok for possible Hatch Act breaches. The Hillary case supervisor joins FBI No. 2 McCabe as investigative target concerning illegal “political activities.” IG has power to refer criminal charges to DOJ for full prosecution.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, former Justice Department official Michael Bromwich also believes Horowitz’s findings might spell trouble for Comey, Clinton and Lynch.

USA Today reports:

Former Justice inspector general Michael Bromwich said that the office has a long established record as “a reliable and independent voice” that has held some of the most powerful institutions to account.

The disclosures of the agents’ text messages, he said, “has certainly re-focused the spotlight on investigation that many people may have forgotten about but remains an important piece of work that needs to be completed.” […]

“Michael (Horowitz) is a very solid guy with exactly the right background for the job. It’s a job that doesn’t make you many friends,” Bromwich said. “And I don’t think a lot of people will be happy when it’s over. But I think he is going to call it as he sees it.”
