BREAKING: Charges Against Rancher Cliven Bundy and 3 Others Dismissed – Judge Cites “Flagrant Prosecutorial Misconduct”

A federal judge has dropped all charges against Rancher Cliven Bundy and three others, Fox News reported.

According to newly unsealed court documents, prosecutors leading the Bundy case stemming from the 2014 armed standoff, attempted to ‘rig’ the case.

A federal judge dismissed all charged against rancher Cliven Bundy and three others

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro cited “flagrant prosecutorial misconduct” in her decision to dismiss all charges against rancher Cliven Bundy, two of his sons and another person.

The embarrassment a federal judge dealt to government prosecutors last month in the Cliven Bundy case could be set to resume Monday, at a hearing to determine whether the cattle rancher who became a folk hero long before he beat the feds can be retried.

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro on Dec. 20 declared a mistrial in the high-profile case. It was only the latest, stunning development in the saga of the Nevada rancher, and served as a repudiation of the federal government. Navarro accused prosecutors of willfully withholding evidence from Bundy’s lawyers, in violation of the federal Brady rule.

The Brady rule, named after the landmark 1963 Supreme Court case known as Brady v. Maryland, holds that failure to disclose such evidence violates a defendant’s right to due process.

In 2014 federal authorities moved in to impound cattle that was grazing on government land.

Ammon Bundy told reporters that his son told him FBI agents murdered Finicum with his hands up.

“LaVoy Finicum was murdered. Cold-blooded murder. They shot him with his hands up.”

In a case widely ignored by the corporate media, the BLM hit rancher Cliven Bundy with a $1 million penalty in a 20 year legal dispute over grazing his cattle on public lands without a permit – land the Bundy family had used for grazing since the 50’s. When Bundy refused to comply out of his belief that the federal government was overstepping their authority, the a fine led to a court order, which led to a now infamous 2014 standoff at the Bundy ranch in which BLM agents used dogs and stun guns against Bundy family members.

In February 2016, Cliven Bundy and his sons Ammon and Ryan were detained in Portland, Oregon after the senior Bundy traveled there in support of a similar dispute over government ownership of a Wildlife Refuge.
