NFL GETS COAL FOR CHRISTMAS: More Empty Seats Across Country As Anthem Backlash Continues (PHOTOS)

by

NFL stadiumĀ attendance continues to suffer as the backlash from players protesting the National Anthem extends into week 16. Football fans from across the country are sharing photos showing stadiums plagued by empty seats this Christmas weekend.Ā

At a recent press conference, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said ā€œattendance is off by one percent.ā€

ā€œWe are over 98 percent filled to capacity, which is about where weā€™ve been in the past,ā€Ā Goodell added.

Judging by photos shared by fans this season, how couldĀ Goodell have said that with a straight face?

ā€œThis nfl red zone channel is showing a lot of empty seats in a lot of stadiums today,ā€ tweeted reporter Chuck Raasch.
