“ABSOLUTE RED LINE”: Eric Holder Issues Second Warning Against POTUS Trump Firing Mueller

Former Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder called for mass protests if President Trump fires special counsel Robert Mueller. This is the second warning Holder has issued this week in respect to rumors about President Trump relieving Mueller of his duties as special counsel.

“ABSOLUTE RED LINE: the firing of Bob Mueller or crippling the special counsel’s office. If removed or meaningfully tampered with, there must be mass, popular, peaceful support of both. The American people must be seen and heard – they will ultimately be determinative,” tweeted Holder on Sunday.

As previously reported, Holder threatened Republicans against removing Mueller a day after House members grilled Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over the special counsel stacking his team with investigators with links to Hillary Clinton.

Holder issued his threat in a tweet Wednesday morning.

“Speaking on behalf of the vast majority of the American people, Republicans in Congress be forewarned:any attempt to remove Bob Mueller will not be tolerated. These are BS attacks on him/his staff that are blatantly political-designed to hide the real wrongdoing. Country not party,” Holder tweeted.

Holder’s former Department is facing scrutiny of epic proportions after it was revealed a top Justice Department official, Bruce Ohr, made contacts with the Fusion GPS, the shady opposition research firm behind the discredit ‘Trump dossier.’

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) revealed to Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro Saturday evening that the House Judiciary Committee will subpoena Bruce Ohr along with his wife and former Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr “in their ongoing inquiry into claims of bias against President Donald Trump.”

Holder’s outspokenness pertaining the firing of Mueller comes amid Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) claiming President Trump aims to fire Mueller before Christmas.

The California lawmaker told KQED Newsroom on Friday that, “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on December 22nd, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire…Robert Mueller.”

President Trump’s lawyer, Ty Cobb, dispelled the rumor, telling Fox News on Saturday that “Mueller will not be fired.”
