Aryan Brotherhood/Aryan Circle Gang Member Crackdown Puts 89 Behind Bars

A North Texas crackdown on  gang members belonging to the Aryan Brotherhood or Aryan Circle has resulted in 89 people being thrown into federal prison.

Officials are claiming this to be the “largest prosecution in the nation’s history of violent criminals with lengthy records connected with white supremacist gangs,” according to Breitbart Texas.

The defendants are on the hook for dealing up to 2,108 pounds of methamphetamine that, based on street value, would be worth almost $10 million. The group also possessed upwards of 88 weapons. Everyone sentenced collectively received 1,070 years.

89 members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas and Aryan Circle received sentences for 20 years. The white supremacist nature of these gang members allegedly “has taken a backseat to traditional criminal ventures, such as drug dealing.”

Breitbart Texas reports:

Prosecutors originally charged 91 white supremacists, but one died before his trial began. Another is thought to have fled to .

“The Aryan Brotherhood of Texas and the Aryan Circle have essentially been decimated in North Texas,” said U.S. Attorney for the Northern District John Parker. “The outstanding collaborative work of the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Dallas Police Department helped ensure that each of the 89 defendants who were arrested have now been convicted and sentenced.”
