Fired Black Congressional Intern Framed By Media As White Supremacist Hired By Daily Caller

Last month, the liberal gossip page Mediaite tried whipping their audience into a frenzy with a leaked tape of Republican Sen. Tom Cotton’s intern calling House Speaker Paul Ryan a “cuck,” the British as “faggots” and Americans as “the superior race.”

“In reference to Ryan, the ‘cuck’ slur towards him originated on alt-right and white supremacist websites,” Mediaite reported, trying their hardest to once against smear conservatives as racist. The problem?

Mediaite obtained the recording by secretly recording Cotton’s intern Nate Washington at a party.

Mr. Washington is black.

Nate Washington

“He 100 percent tried to cast me as a white supremacist,” Washington told The Daily Caller.

Washington, a black conservative attending Western Kentucky University, was let go as an intern with Senator Cotton, but was recently hired as an intern by The Daily Caller.

“[Daily Caller] strives to keep the spirit of Tucker Carlson, our founder and the patron saint of fourth chances, alive in all our decisions,” a Daily Caller statement said. “In that spirit, I offered a young man named Nate a summer internship on our team.”

The recording, secretly obtained by a Mediaite reporter while talking to Washington at a party, includes Washington saying “Americans are the superior race to everyone in the world . . . we’re superior people” — with Washington citing America’s wartime record, and in a reference to the Revolutionary War, Washington called the British “faggots” and American defector Benedict Arnold “a homosexual.”

“The recordings were all recorded without my or either of my roommates’ consent. I’m not going to speak on anything that was said during that recording,” Washington told The Daily Caller. “But I was certainly intoxicated at the time and so was everyone else.”

Mediaite, which spent two paragraphs in their hit piece trying to frame Nate Washington’s language as being couched in “white supremacist” language, has still made no mention that Mr. Washington is black.

The lesson, as always: Never trust the mainstream media.
