Dems’ ‘Rising Star’ Kamala Harris ‘Absolutely’ Running For President in 2020 – Fundraiser

As TGP previously reported, since being elected to the Senate, pundits have been pushing the prospect of Democrat Kamala Harris running for president against President Trump. Harris is making a name for herself on Capitol Hill as one of the Trump administration’s most vocal critics.

Over the weekend, Harris met with Hillary Clinton’s “inner circle” in the Hamptons. The Democrat donors were buzzing with optimism over Kamala Harris as she mingled with elites at a fundraiser. The donors see Harris as somebody new and different.

The Hill reports:

The Bridgehampton event, where Harris mingled with top donors and supporters of Hillary Clinton, was the ultimate signal that Harris is “thinking much bigger” than the Senate, one top bundler said.

“She’s running for president. Take it to the bank,” another fundraiser said. “She’s absolutely going to run.”

Donors say Harris is giving them a glimmer of hope when they need it the most.

They see the former prosecutor-turned-California attorney general as embodying the qualities a Democratic presidential candidate would need to win the White House in 2020.

They also see the 52-year-old African-American woman as a fresh face.

“There’s a big hunger out there for somebody new and different,” said Bill Carrick, a Democratic consultant who served as an adviser to former Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.), who challenged Harris in last year’s senatorial race.

Recently, Harris made waves with her aggressive questioning-style towards Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The MSM accused Sessions of interrupting Harris. The video below shows Sessions doing nothing of the sort, rather Harris wouldn’t allow Sessions to complete his answers. Leave it to the mainstream media to twist even the most obvious events and link them with identity politics.
