MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Thursday that the notion that President Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election ‘came apart’ following fired FBI Director James Comey’s testimony.
Well here you have it, folks! It’s over for the Democrats and the media sycophants are finally starting to admit it.
Matthews: “The assumption of the critics of the president, of his pursuers, you might say, is that somewhere along the line in the last year is the president had something to do with colluding with the Russians … to affect the election in some way.”
“And yet what came apart this morning was that theory–Flynn wasn’t central to the Russian investigation,” and secondly, that kills the idea that Flynn might have been in a position to testify against Trump.”
“And if that’s not the case, where’s the there-there?”
The Democrats really thought that Comey’s public testimony today was going to be the death knell for the Trump administration. Comey’s testimony confirmed what we knew to be true from the start. There was ZERO Trump-Russia collusion and Loretta Lynch interfered with the election when she forced Comey to address Hillary Clinton’s criminal investigation as a ‘matter’.
We also learned today that Comey was indeed the leaker of his Trump memo to the press. Trump’s lawyer also came out swinging in a statement addressing the Comey leaks. Trump’s lawyer pointed out that Comey had lied during his public testimony.
