Huckabee Sanders: ‘Of Course’ President Trump Will Run for Re-Election

Wednesday, White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders commented that President Trump will be running for re-election and will be participating in a fundraiser with major donors at his D.C. hotel this evening.

The Washington Examiner reports that Huckabee Sanders commented during Wednesday’s off-camera briefing:

“Of course he’s running for re-election . . . Right now, he’s focused on his agenda, focused on the midterms,” she said. ‘It will be the first election he’s raising money for the party. I don’t think that’s abnormal for any president.”

The dinner/fundraiser is $35,000-a-plate and will be held at the Trump International Hotel and is for “Trump Victory”, a joint committee of the Trump campaign and the RNC. An invitation sent out said it would cost $35,000 per person to attend, or $100,000 to be a member of the host committee.
