The Washington Post reported Wednesday night that “Rosenstein threatened to resign after the narrative emerging from the White House on Tuesday evening cast him as a prime mover of the decision to fire Comey,” citing an unnamed source close to the White House.
The Washington Post was wrong.
This never happened.
I am told Rod Rosenstein was so upset w/ the White House for pinning the Comey firing on him yesterday that he was on the verge of resigning

The Washington Post also reported on Wednesday that Comey asked for more funding for the Russia investigation before he was fired.
Today the Acting FBI Director said that was not true either.
Wednesday was not a very good day for the Washington Post.
