President Trump did what Obama failed to do. He helped free Aya Hijazi, an Egyptian-American aid worker who was imprisoned in Egypt for three years.
Obama did nothing to help this woman because she wasn’t a traitor like Bergdahl. Those were the requirements for the Obama administration to step in.
Today, President Trump met with Hijazi and her brother in the Oval Office. No questions were taken. Trump made a short statement saying, “We are very happy to Aya back home and it’s a great honor to have her in the Oval Office with her brother and thank you very much.”
