NEGOTIATOR-IN-CHIEF: Trump Got Over $1 Billion Slashed Off Air Force One Price Tag – In Just ONE HOUR!

At his rally in Melbourne Florida, President Trump offered a glimpse into the negotiations which took place between the White House and Boeing, the makers of the bloated $4.2 billion Air Force One project. Trump told the sea of supporters that the tax payers got a huge discount off the project’s price.

As per the Washington Examiner:

President Trump said Saturday that he has reduced the price of two new Air Force One planes by more than $1 billion after spending about an hour on negotiations.

Trump previously slammed the cost of the $4.2 billion Boeing program on Twitter as being too high and secured a personal promise from Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg to complete the program for under $4 billion.

“I refuse to fly in a $4.2 billion plane,” Trump said at his Melbourne, Fla., rally. “We’ve got that price down by over $1 billion and I probably haven’t spoken for more than an hour on the project. I got the generals in who are fantastic … but I told Boeing that isn’t good enough, the price is still too high.”

The wildly expensive project was ordered by Obama, who also spent billions on Marine Force One. Despite “voicing concern” over the high price tag. As you could probably guess, Obama never got a reduction.

ABC News reports:

Back in 2009, President Obama expressed concerns about cost overruns for a new set of presidential helicopters. At the time, the Pentagon’s contract with Lockheed Martin Corp. to develop a new fleet of helicopters, which are dubbed Marine One when the president is aboard and also shuttle other government officials, had reached an estimated $11.2 billion — nearly twice the original $6.1 billion estimate.

Even big spending RINO John McCain ripped Obama over the price tag, according to ABC News.

“Your helicopter is now going to cost as much as Air Force One. I don’t think that there’s any more graphic demonstration of how good ideas have — have cost taxpayers an enormous amount of money,” McCain said.

Behold, the difference between a fiscal conservative like Trump and an out-of-control spending liberal like Obama.
