FAKE NEWS: New York Times Quotes FAKE Mike Flynn Twitter Account (Video)

New York Times Quotes FAKE Twitter Account

New York Times Journalist David Sanger appeared on CBS This Morning where he attempted to push another fake news story by quoting a fake Twitter account.

From NewsBusters:

In an article, the Times used a quote from “@GenMikeFlynn” asserting, “But if a scapegoat is what’s needed for this Administration to continue to take this great nation forward, I am proud to do my duty.”

This is a fake quote from a fake Twitter account. Appearing on CBS This Morning, Times journalist David Sanger pushed the tweet: “[Flynn] said himself in a Tweet this morning, that while he was responsible, there are others who are responsible, too.”

Give CBS credit, they immediately called out this fake news reporting by the New York Times.

The New York Times had to issue a correction to the article that was posted by Sanger.

Because of an editing error, an earlier version quoted three posts from an unverified Twitter account purporting to be Mr. Flynn’s, responding to the resignation
