People suspected of having fired shots at police on the Far South Side early Sunday have barricaded themselves in a building, police said.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., someone fired shots at police officers in the 10300 block of South Avenue N in the East Side neighborhood, a police spokeswoman said.
Shortly afterward, people suspected of being involved barricaded themselves in a building on the same block.
As of 7:45 a.m., the possible suspects were still inside, police said.
