Obama Border Patrol Chief Agrees, A Border Wall ‘Helpful’—
The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest met today in Washington DC. Mr. Ronald Vitiello, the Acting Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, testified at the hearing.
Mr. Vitiello told the committee a border wall, ike what Donald Trump has proposed, “can be helpful.”
Senator Jeff Sessions: At the border barriers can be helpful, can they not?
Mr. Ronald Vitiello: Barriers as in physical barriers?
Sen. Sessions: Yes, walls, fences.
Mr. Ronald Vitiello: Yes. They have been… Right. Yes, all of the things we use on the border, physical barriers, fencing as one, technology is a great benefit, plus the agents. You still have to have the agents as well.
