The Wall Street Journal reported:

Thousands of protesters are set to demonstrate outside of one of Donald Trump’s flagship buildings in New York City on Saturday.

At least 5,000 people are slated to gather in Columbus Circle at noon and march to Trump Tower for several hours of speeches and protesting, organizer Steven Hamlin said. The group does not have a permit, he said.

“We will have a peaceful rally,” Steven Hamlin, a 19-year-old Nassau Community College student from Farmingdale, N.Y., said Friday.

A spokesman for the New York Police Department said of the protest: “We will allocate resources as needed. We’ve got tremendous experience in policing these events including rallies, protests and demonstrations. If problems arise we’ll deal with them. And if we need to adjust our resources we can do it at a moments notice.”
