Majority of Americans=> 55% – Support Trump’s Muslim Ban, 72% of Republicans, 45% of Democrats

Last week Donald Trump lit up the political world when he proposed a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants to the United States following the San Bernardino terrorist attacks.
trump rally

The Obama White House said it “disqualifies him” from being president.

The latest FOX News poll shows a majority of Americans support his ban.
FOX News reported:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump caused a stir last week when he called for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States until the government can “figure out what is going on.”

How do voters feel about Trump’s proposal? Well, that depends.

A new Fox News poll finds 50 percent of voters favor Trump’s ban, while 46 percent are opposed.

However, when Trump’s name is removed from the question, support for the plan goes up five points and opposition goes down six: 55 percent favor the unnamed proposal, while 40 percent oppose it.

So while voters favor the “Trump” ban by a 4-point margin — that increases to 15 points when the same ban is not associated with Trump.

There are stunning shifts in the responses among Democrats: 45 percent favor banning Muslims if Trump’s name is not mentioned, yet when the plan is identified as Trump’s, support drops to 25 percent.

Among Republicans, views hold steady: 71 percent favor it when attributed to Trump vs. 72 percent for the generic proposal.

Trump’s proposal was in response to the mass shooting that killed 14 people and injured 21 others in San Bernardino, California. The FBI says the attack was carried out by a Muslim couple who supported the Islamic State. The wife had moved to the United States from Pakistan after passing multiple background checks by U.S. immigration officials.

Sounds like a very exclusive bunch of People. Just about All of us. But we will not be excluding anyone who wants to make America Great Again.

You see, we are made up of those who believe in America and all the many values we all hold dear. We really aren’t new, we are what we wish to go back too. The good old days with some modernization.

A new time and we all hope those who craving for better times, can get on board or they will miss the Party.

  • Goose

Rush is Right, Trump’s support is broad-based.

  • Scott

Those numbers will only go up.

There will be no point between now and the election where more people say, “you know, Muslims are pretty awesome!”

Most likely, hundreds or thousands more Americans will be slaughtered by these savages.

  • Patty

Trump has literally created a new narrative, one that Republicans and Democrats have seem to have forgotten. The greatness of a Nation that was and will be again. Americans are tired the opposite from that. Tired of being told we can’t believe in our Faith, have the best Military and the biggest. Tired of Lies, Cover ups and the selfishness.

Tired of being told what to do in Business and regulations on that business that are just plan silly. Tired of our Cops being blame for the crimes of others. We want the American Dream for everyone who works hard and hate being taxed for everything. Tire of what Health care we should have and the behind closed doors deals in Washington that is always hurting the Middle Class and creating more debt for us and our Children.

Tired of Open Borders and more Illegals and Terrorists coming into this nation and the laws not being enforced.

Trump hit the nail on the head and somehow the Republicans lost their way. So, these numbers don’t surprise me, and to that I say, they should be higher and will be, it is just Common sense.

  • Bubba Gump

The initial numbers were pretty stunning to begin with. Support usually builds when the Mooseslums keep up the jihad. The Don just keeps building his lead by not being the establishment. The Omnibus has sealed the deal for the establishment. I think the Tea Party will be the new party when the establishment is trounced.

BREAKING – Fox Poll: Donald Trump Dominates – Jumps Another 11% Since Latest Debate, Carson Falls…

    Post Debate Poll

Fox will be forced to present this poll result (full pdf below)
but you can be guaranteed they will downplay it as much as possible.
The fact remains the visible support of Donald Trump with
tens-of-thousands of supporters at rallies forces the corporate media
into an uncomfortable position: They don’t want to admit the obvious,
    yet they have no choice.

Donald Trump with 39% support gains an additional 11 points since
last Fox National polling and now holds more than double the next
    closest competitor, Cruz (18).

For those who may have some doubts about the value of restricting Muslim immigration to America, check out my church group’s website page on Sharia law (!sharia/c5bw ), and ask yourself if that is what you want. 51% of American Muslims say they would like the option of living under Sharia law, so this isn’t just something that the ‘extremists’ favor.

  • nodhimmi

our dhimmi media are trying to say only republicans want this ban to make them look “racist” but all sane americans do and if they don’t like it, the Donald should personally give them all tickets to Saudi Arabia, Quatar, or any Muslim dominated country of their choice!

I hope the comment censor on this site will allow a comparison between Trump’s strong and courageous stance against Muslim immigration with Cruz’s years-long pro-immigration views. Compare Trump’s straight-shooting, no nonsense bravery with Ted Cruz’s memo to George W. Bush on what W should say when asked about immigration:

Here are some highlights of what Cruz advised W to do:

    1. Lift the limit on H1B visas for foreign workers (this shows Cruz has
believed in his 500% increase in H1Bs for many years, disowning it only
now to run for president, just like Rubio disowns the Gang of Eight

    2. Make it easier for foreign job-takers to fill up our
overcrowded infrastructure (from classrooms to roads, hospitals, section
8 housing and welfare rolls) by bringing in their families as quickly
    as possible.

    3. To oppose illegal immigration in a “humane way”
because “people are coming here trying to feed their children” (exactly,
Cruz — not Jeb — is the real author of the Bush “act of love” theory
    of illegal immigration).

    4. To have federal taxpayers pay for
illegal aliens by “reimbursing” the states (so if California sanctuaries
illegals we should all be paying for it).

    5. To say “not at this time” when asked a tough question on immigration (allowing W to hide and change his immigration positions at will without technically lying).

But the most disturbing thing in this memo is not Cruz’s years-long pro-immigration and
anti-American-worker corporate thinking. It’s how Cruz coached W on
what to say. While Trump would never let a paid weasel coach him on how to hide his true views, Cruz was W’s house weasel on immigration.

Quite the projection there Obama, calling someone else disqualified for the Office of the Presidency.

  • Mike in Illinois

  • Mike in Illinois

    lol @ NYT.
    Highlights alright.

  • Mike in Illinois

Too broad equals stretched too thin. Obama had broad support as well.
Care needs to be taken on this front. We cannot be caught up with Democrats being the deciders about who the next president is. Democrats need to sit down and hush up right about now and see how the Adults run the show.

  • Mike in Illinois

    How about off this planet?

  • Mike in Illinois

You know what is funny about that? EVERY one of those muslims has the option of living under sharia law if they really want to. They are absolutely free to leave this nation and enter any muslim nation that will take them in (subject to the pure irony of islamic nations that will not take ANY foreign citizens whatsoever as they try to hammer us for not taking enough).

  • US.Patriot1776

Trump’s #1 appeal is he’s AMERICAN, everything else follows that.

and I don’t mean, “natural born citizen” or that he wears the right uniform,
I mean the traditional American, a la Teddy Roosevelt, Andy Jackson, P.T. Barnum, J.D., J.P., Babe Ruth, Joe Namath, big, bold, brassy, confident, winning, born into American culture w/American values, American goodness with all the strengths/flaws that we love.

  • Patty

I have a feeling Trump won’t do this:

Obama billing taxpayers $3.7 million for vacation

  • Topcat69

How true. It used to be that people came to America to become Americans. Now they seem to want to come in order to turn America into the h*ellholes they originally came from. For those already here, many wish to turn America into h*llholes they are perfectly free to move to. It isn’t just the Muslims. Look at La Raza. For that matter, look at all the people who have fled
California. They move to a new state and then vote for the same policies that caused them to flee California.

Well, we can’t control internal migration by US citizens, but we sure can control who we let into
this country. People who don’t wish to become Americans, with American values and respect for American law should not be permitted to enter.

  • R8J

As far as to the length of said temporary ban on muslim admittance to the US, I would say we start with 10,000 years and then take a look.

  • Mike in Illinois

I would hope that would be because he wasn’t taking extensive and expensive vacations, choosing instead to actually work for four or eight years and not as a result of just paying for it himself.

A poor man could make that choice as easy as a rich man.

  • Mike in Illinois

As vicious as it is true.

  • Mike in Illinois

I hear ya brother, for real. The problem with that is one that has existed from the get go, from the very start. Some patriots were right and some were wrong. As I have said all along, I am so very thankful to Trump for the things he has done – even those things he is profoundly mistaken about.

He is forcing these conversations out in the open – and that is a hundred times more than about 530 members of congress can claim.

I am certainly not trying to troll on Trump, though some act that way in drive bys. You understand about me what I understand about you – two Americans just talking with grace and dignity. If anything, the things I point out about Trumps positions might just make it to his view and make him think, ponder, dutifully about their merit. Improving Donald as a candidate would benefit us all especially if he manages to pull this off.

Honestly, there are things about Trump that set of my alarm bells as badly as Obama did. I can, and have, said the same about Cruz. And these are the two I believe are already the last two standing. I have to speak up, point over point, incident to incident because we HAVE to get this as right as we can.

  • FW190

Yes. Many people in the US are NOT Americans. Many. Which is the main point of the Illegal Invasion. The Invasion is the US #1 issue and Trump sees it like a laser and there are still enough functionals left to see Trump is the only one who will SOLVE that issue. They understand If he doesn’t then all is lost. Thats why no matter what he says or how much he blusters people will not leave him. Plus Trump can be POTUS with one arm tied behind his back.

  • glenn47

Many are upset that Trump is the first one to address the elephant in the room. Jump starting his campaign. He started out of the box saying what the people needed and wanted to hear. No one else was talking about keeping them safe.
Now they fear him since he hasn’t fade. They will attack those they fear.
The people have learned. They want no one the left can buy and they want no one that will fold to the left. They fear what they can’t control or buy. Refreshing.
Common sense tells us Trump is correct to keep this country safe. Slowing down until we know how to deal with and with whom makes total sense.
Folding know or letting anyone bully or intimindate us into believing otherwise would be fatal.

Have you heard? The Trump/Cruz secret plan for WWlll.

A guy walks in and asks the barman, ‘Isn’t that Trump and Cruz sitting over there?’ The bartender says, ‘Yep, that’s them.’

So the guy walks over and says, ‘Wow, this is a real honor! What are you guys doing in here?’

Cruz says, ‘We’re planning WW III.’ The guy says, ‘Really? What’s going to happen?’

Trump says, ‘Well, we’re going to kill 140 million Muslims and one blonde with big breasts.’

The guy exclaimed, ‘A blonde with big breasts? Why kill a blonde with big breasts?’

Trump turns to Cruz and says, ‘See, I told you, no one gives a crap about the 140 million Muslims.’

Donald Trump opposes President Obama’s goal of shuttering the
Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba and would instead fill it with more

Obama told reporters Friday that U.S. officials are systematically
emptying the prison of suspected jihadists and that he hopes to close it
before leaving office at the end of next year.

Trump said he would take a diametrically opposed approach.

“I would leave it just the way it is, and I would
probably fill it up with more people that are looking to kill us,” he
said in an interview airing Sunday on “Election Central with Rita Cosby”
    on WABC radio.

Trump added that Obama has been “a terrible president.

“Everything he does is not good,” he said.

The number of prisoners in Guantanamo has dwindled to 107, according
to Reuters. Trump said it will cost hundreds of millions of dollars —
perhaps as much as $650 million — to close the prison located on a U.S.
    naval base in Cuba.

“It turns out to be very expensive. There are hundreds of millions of dollars to do it, and I wouldn’t do it,” he noted.
