BREAKING: Geneva on Alert for Five ‘Armed and Dangerous’ Muslim Terrorist Suspects

Swiss authorities are searching for five alleged Muslim terrorists thought to be planning an attack on Geneva, according to reports. The men are alleged to be “armed and dangerous.”

LeMatin reports the CIA tipped off the Swiss. Le Matin has published two photos of the wanted men. One shows a group of four bearded young men flashing the one finger ISIS salute. The other photo is a head shot of a bearded man. The faces are blacked out in both pictures for some reason.

The terror alert comes as Geneva is scheduled to host a meeting Saturday on Syria, where ISIS has declared a calipahte, between the UN , Russia and the United States.

Reuters reported a Swiss government statement that the men are being sought as part of the investigation into the Paris attacks by ISIS last month.

“In a statement, the Geneva department of security said: “In the framework of investigations carried out following the Paris attacks, at the international and national level, Geneva police and their partners are actively looking for people whose description has been provided by the Swiss Confederation.””

…It was not immediately clear from the Geneva statement, however, whether the suspects were directly linked to the Paris attacks. A Geneva spokeswoman said she had no further comment

UN security guards in Geneva, the European headquarters of the world body, were stationed with MP5 submachine guns at entry points for cars, a highly unusual measure at the sprawling complex near the French border.

A second UN guard told Reuters: “It is maximum alert.”

“According to information obtained by “Le Matin”, the Geneva police was alerted on Wednesday about the possible presence of four jihadists in its territory. A photo, sent by US authorities, shows the sitting, the four, the finger in the air to the way fighters Daesh.”

“Still according to a document procured Le Matin, wanted persons are “armed and dangerous”.”

“Deemed trivial by some agents, the threat has taken a particularly serious turn when a Belgian car Wednesday fled in the Geneva region to avoid control. Officials fear that terrorists will seek a meeting between the American and British delegations, scheduled for tomorrow at the United Nations about Syria.”

Le Matin reported about the fifth suspect:

“In a video, the man had talked of future attacks in Geneva, Vancouver and Ottawa. His description, again, would come from the US security services, already the cause of the alert given to Swiss authorities on Wednesday.”
