MIZZOU HUNGER STRIKER Claims He’s Oppressed, Rips ‘White Privilege’ – Comes From Family Worth $20 Million

He’s a One-Percenter!

The Revolution

Jonathan Butler, the University of Missouri graduate student who went on a weekend hunger strike, comes from a family worth $20 million. His father is a railroad vice president and made over $8 million last year.

Butler complained about white privilege.
He argued he was oppressed.
St. Louis Today reported:

Jonathan Butler, a central figure in the protests at the University of Missouri, is an Omaha native and the son of a railroad vice president, the Omaha World-Herald reports.

Butler refused food last week in a move to force the university system’s president, Timothy M. Wolfe, from office. Wolfe resigned Monday and Butler ended his hunger strike.

Jonathan Butler played high-school football at Omaha Central High, where he won a state championship, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mizzou, the newspaper reports. He is working toward a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy.

He is a member of a prominent Omaha family. The newspaper says that Butler’s father is Eric L. Butler, executive vice president for sales and marketing for the Union Pacific Railroad. His 2014 compensation was $8.4 million, according to regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

that is what a racist, hypocrite, liberal hay maker does. Critical of others, hate white and tries to divide a nation that is opposite of that and he will never win this war on whites or any other American who has the right to be great and we don’t need his radical views to us or anyone else to bring us down.

Individuals like this, it is best to ignore them.

The whole “white privilege” BS (try and explain to white Appalachians how privileged they are) is just a smoke screen for Marxist, anti white, anti male hate. White men should go on a week long, even better, a month long, strike. Simply stay home and don’t do a thing but relax and watch it all come crashing to a halt.

But but but. Jonathan Butler never said his father was oppressed. He’s saying HE is oppressed.

See, Jonathan never had the advantages that his father had as a young man. Back in the day, his father never had to face trigger statements. His father never had to deal with microaggressions. His father never had to fight micro oppressions or microslurs or micro discrimination. His father never had to live thru two terms of an African-American President of the United States. Nor did he have to turn the dial to avoid Rush Limbaugh or Fox News. In fact Jonathan Butler may well feel micro oppressed by his own father’s success; how discouraging is that?

But poor Jonathan has been forced to bear the heavy weight of all the microscopic racist horrors of modern America.

    Just sayin.

Manager comes to me with a resume from a prospective employee who says they worked with me years ago. She’s a black female who I managed at another facility who had an obvious chip on her shoulder. He mentioned that she said she knew me so he was asking me about her. I told him that she would do very well through her probationary period, but once that was over all bets were off and he would regret hiring her. She did not get hired. This young man is having his little temper tantrum posted all over the internet. Who in their right mind is going to hire this kid? I’m sure someone will, and chances are they will regret it for as long as he is employed by them. And to this young man: seriously, think before you act! I know it’s asking a lot, but try to bring some reason to the situation before your get your self- righteous panties in a knot!

  • Calamity Jane

Kinda funny how that stuff happens!

  • Realist

I suppose this would all make sense if “being oppressed” is to be considered a profession, or at least an occupation. It really makes perfect sense. Little trans-racialists Rachel Dolezal and Shawn King would then, by this occupation-based rationale, be perfectly suited to their occupations. What occupation is that?

    Professional victim.

As long as one adhered closely enough to the perfunctory script of libcult victim there would be no limit to this victim-by-proxy con job. Being a proxy-victim would be emotionally satisfying, there is no doubt about that. This is true especially for those who yearn to replace the the religious and moral presumptions that used to give out lives meaning and order with an oh-so-modern libcult Crusade, a Crusade which appears, on the surface anyway, to do just that.

    libcult Privilege

Millionaire victims of society? No problem. White blacks? No problem. Violent mobsters rioting, assaulting and demanding that others submit to their tyrrany? No problem. All of these seeming inconsistencies are “normalized”, permitted and encouraged under libcult theology. The privilege that flows from the cults orthodoxy of irrationality has no limits.

  • Nancy Knowles

I firmly believe that all the so-called acts of oppression reported on the Mizzou campus were nothing more than manufactured “send up’s” perpetrated by these poseurs. The first, unalterable truth you must know about liberal/progressives is, like their community organizer in chief, they LIE. They are LIARS and they feel they are justified in doing so. I do not trust them to speak any truth. But their lies have power, and until they crossed paths with the liberal mainstream media, they enjoyed tacit acceptance. Which brings me to the second unalterable truth about liberal progressives: They are STUPID. Not any fancy variety of stupid. Just plain dumb stupid. These idiots turned on the press who had, until this week, been eating out of their hand. What morons these lib-idiots are. And for the record: ANY narrative these lying idiots built on the Michael Brown death is bogus. Michael Brown was a felon, a blight on society, a criminal and a thug. It is now a matter of fact and is not in dispute (except by stupid lying idiots) that Michael Brown’s death was justified and EVERYTHING these stupid lying idiots have said about Michael Brown is untrue.

I don’t know, his dad seems to be ok. Co-pastor at a church. Unfortunately his son didn’t take after him.

    From their website:
That in general, governments are God-given institution for the benefit
of mankind, and we admonish and exhort our members to honor, respect,
and obey them. But, as God fearing, peace-loving and law-abiding people,
we stand firmly on our inheritance as Americans, namely, “To Worship
God according To Our Consciences. And, if there is a conflict between
God’s Law and Man’s Law, WE must obey God rather than man.”

    http://www.jolchurch.org/about-jol/statement-of-faith.php

  • Sasha V.

White privilege? I’ll tell you what privilege is, its not working for anything and having the government pay for everything. At the expense of white America tax payers.

This is why America is so angry. You have one group of people who refuse to follow the law, refuse to get an education or a job, and refuse to be productive members of society, only to create a gang that demands that they be treated with the same respect and consideration as the rest of us law-abiding citizens.

Obama’s plan for America is certainly playing out.

Obama and his liberal cronies hate the Constitution and free market capitalism. He destroyed our economy with measures like the ACA and immigration amnesty. The “Affordable” Care Act has been nothing short of a disaster. My health insurance bill is up to $450/month. (Compare this to my $25/month auto insurance from InsurncePanda or my $10/month renters insurance from Eagle… both private enterprise!)

As Mark Levin pointed out on his show last night …the ENTIRE thing is a HOAX….

    http://www.marklevinshow.com/audio-rewind/

Was The Poop Swastika Incident At Mizzou A Giant Hoax?

Something stinks at the University of Missouri. A reported incident of vandalism at Mizzou sparked university-wide protests, a boycott by the school’s 4-5 football team, and eventually the resignation of the university’s president and chancellor.

There’s only one problem: no evidence of the alleged incident, in which a poop swastika on the wall of a dormitory restroom was reported, has ever been made publicly available. Did this incident occur as reported, or was it an immaculate defecation that formed the foundation of an unimaginable deception?

Just another limousine liberal posing as the Vanguard of the Proletariat. White privilege indeed. My late Uncle who jumped at Sicily and Market Garden with the 82nd Airborne wouldn’t be amused. My late Grandma raised nine kids (six girls and three boys) after her husband died in 1935. All three boys served in the Army. She went to bed every night for the better part of three years not knowing if she’d be awakened by someone from the War Department! So shut up you worthless fraud. You and Obama have been cossetted your entire lives, mainly by a bunch of guilt laden white liberals.

  • kazzer66

Funny how the rich kids manage to get themselves oppressed. Many of the Occupiers were pretty high up the food chain also.

Regular kids just don’t have time for this kind of nonsense, they’re too busy trying to get by day to day. But these rich communists, have nothing but time on their hands. They can afford to be ill-educated slacktivists, because mommy and daddy will pay the bills, legal fees, bail…whatever it takes for junior to pretend he’s an actual leader.

They also don’t care who is hurt by these ridiculous peacock displays, as long as it isn’t them.

White privilege was created by the hate whitey crowd. It’s a tool of physiological abuse that is used against white high school and white college students. When it’s used on white high school students, it’s a clear case of child abuse.

It’s based upon guilt and shame of how white students look, and who they are. It was the same type of physiological abuse the Black Panthers used on Patty Hearst and look how that turned out.

  • IckyD

Jin is correct, in fact. The cause of the war was the disagreement on whether federal gov’t overrides state gov’t. The *reason* for the disagreement was the anger of Northern corporations that Southern businesses had too great of profit margin because of slavery.

The North KNEW that no one would go to war over corporate profits so they used slavery as a call to arms.

Stop pretending that the North was acting out of altruism- it wasn’t.

It was sheer coincedence that the North picked a just reason as it’s excuse to war.

  • Hotlanta Mike
  • JollyGreenChemist

One the issues precipitating the Civil War was “states’ rights” but most Southern apologists have it backwards. The Southern states wanted to use Federal power, through the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, to force Northern states to enforce slavery within their borders. A number of states, including Wisconsin, passed nullification statutes forbidding any compliance by state or local officials with the dictates of the Fugitive Slave Act. When Southern states lost their ability to bully the Northern states, they tried to take “their” ball and go home.

Freeing the slaves would have never happened if the rich northerners didn’t benefit from a union of the states (they had financial investments in national institutions like the railroad system). Many representatives were abolitionists and did believe slavery was wrong, but many were somewhat indifferent to the plight of black people and the lower classes in general. After slavery was abolished, poor people of all races still had to deal with terrible wages and working conditions, the “slaves” of the north.

  • buzzlatte3

  • Dee1889

This is so laughable. Is this really how people see being white? I think you are looking at race two-dimensionally. There’s a lot more going on here. Namely – behavior. There is the mistaken notion that your color explains your behavior, when it is actually your behavior that explains your color. There are a great many people of wealth who act like low-class criminals and are identified as such. And there are a great many people, in spite of and despite their economic status act honorably and intelligently. Somehow, white people are identified as having privilege for as a whole, they work and behave in a certain way which engenders prosperity and success, where a great many others choose to identify, dress, talk and behave like uneducated gangsters and can’t understand why they aren’t prosperous and successful. The difference – their cultural ethic. Stop blaming success on being “white”, Start blaming it on the hard work and ethical behavior that promotes success in a civilized society. Keep hanging on the fringes, blaming everything on your color, or position, or and failing to improve yourself, is a recipe for failure. Has been a recipe throughout mankind’s history – and these dumb immature whelps will either figure that out or not. Civilization will march on without them.

Maybe this is just a hobby for Mr Butler. Invent something to pretend to have some sort of pain at it because obviously his life hasnt involved suffering and heartache.

  • He is right to an extent. States rights suddenly were important when the South lost control of the Senate.

That said, it should be faidly obvious that the North didn’t care about slavery at all.

It did care about tarrifs, an issue which always festered, especially when you go back to Jacksons presidency.

What should still trouble people about the civil war is that the North literally said to the South that if they dare leave, they will be brought back via gunpoint.

Looking at the ruins of the South after the war, they meant it.

If the same thing happened today, I wonder if people would have volunteered to go down and kill in the name of “preserving the union”

  • What exactly is “implicit” racism?

(Note what is it from a perspective that isn’t from a sociological textbook written by social justice advocates?)

  • Chollie52

    Huh?

  • revolting against a tyrannical government

  • It’s: “seceding” not “succeeding”

Do you understand what it is, since you can’t seem to spell it correctly? Seems you’re not familiar with the word, or actual American history in the Civil War era.

  • You are partially correct, but the dispute was more about the Northern State controlled Federal government’s spending on the Westward expansion, the way they were advocating for less slavery in the Western states, and over-taxation of the Southern states. The North had more power over the South, and were increasing the taxes on the Southern states to use for purposes that many Southerners were not interested in, mainly the Westward expansion and fighting the Indians.

The Southern states had every right to secede. By definition a union is something that you join freely, and can freely leave. If you were to be forced to join a union that you could not leave, it would no longer be a union by definition, it would be a mafia.

  • Lincoln’s War was Unconstitutional. Lincoln was a tyrant

  • I don’t know if I’d consider the war itself to be unconstitutional, but alot of Lincoln’s actions certainly were; The Emancipation proclamation, throwing judges and congressman out of the country, suspending habeus corpus, curtailing freedom of speech, plus tons of other actions.

  • The premise of the War was that Lincoln would not allow the Confederacy to exist, which was wrong as they had every right to secede from the Union in the first place. His War was entirely about forcing them to rejoin the Union. There is nothing about that which would be considered Constitutional. I also agree with your other points.

  • JollyGreenChemist

Yes, the South was a bunch of bullies who who were afraid of finally losing their stranglehold on Federal power. Up to the 1850’s every addition of a free state was balanced by the addition of a slave state, giving the slave states and effective veto in the Senate. Having lost the Senate veto with the admission of California as a free state (and CA could have very well been admitted as a slave state) the slave states were trying to permanently enshrine their “peculiar institution” before they lost control of the Presidency as well. (From Andy Jackson to James Buchanan, nearly every President was a Southerner or Southern sympathizer, though not necessarily pro-secession.) Slave states repeatedly threatened to secede (i.e. threw a temper tantrum, bullied their fellow states) whenever they were in danger of not getting what they wanted. Slave states reneged on the Missouri Compromise and forced more favorable terms in the Compromise of 1850. Slaves attempted to bully Kansas residents (with Border Ruffians from Missouri and elsewhere) and force them to enter the Union as a slave rather than free state.
You need to give up on the whole “Lost Cause” BS. The south wanted a fight. They just thought the North would wimp out again. Instead, the North told the Southern Bullies their time on top was over.

Lincoln and the Union refused to acknowledge the Confederacy as an autonomous country, so yes they were invading and killing Americans, at least, in their own view. There are numerous other things that Lincoln did that were Unconstitutional.

  • Konrad_Lorenz

What? It’s not unconstitutional to invade a foreign country with which there is no treaty.

  • That wasn’t the case

  • Perplexico

It had everything to do with slavery. Half of the states that seceded–not
succeeded, moron–explicitly declared slavery as the reason in their declaration of secession.

    Gems like Mississippi’s:

Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery– the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin.”

    Or South Carolina’s:

“The General Government, as the common agent, passed laws to carry into effect these stipulations of the States. For many years these laws were executed. But an increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding States to the institution of slavery, has led to a disregard of their obligations … Thus the constituted compact has been deliberately broken and disregarded by the non-slaveholding States, and the consequence follows that South Carolina is released from her obligation.”

    Or Texas’:

“We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable.”

Even Jefferson Davis, eventual president of the Confederacy, is on record before the United States Congress trying to use the New Testament to justify slavery.

Summary: You’re either incredibly ignorant, or a willfully ignorant historical revisionist with zero interest in reality. But, sure. “Nothing to do with slavery.”

    Idiot.

  • Konrad_Lorenz

It’s not unconstitutional in the other case, either.

  • no, the Confederacy believed they were a separate nation, the Union saw them as rebels but still Americans. I and another commenter mentioned all the OTHER Unconstituional acts that Lincoln committed BESIDES waging the Civil War.

Somehow I get the feeling you aren’t an American anyway, so why are you arguing so much?

  • RockfordJohn

    seceding not succeeding.

  • RockfordJohn

    And you were there?

  • Konrad_Lorenz

Actually, “the union” didn’t have any unified position on *that* question. There was a split. The differences of opinion on the matter became relevant when it came to reconstruction legislation, and eventually the Supreme Court ruled on it in a case in Texas.

But my point is that *either way* it wasn’t unconstitutional.

When you wrote, “Lincoln’s War was Unconstitutional.” that was wrong.

  • It was because it was against the Constitution of the United States to attack and make war on a State that uses it’s rights to vote on an issue and decide that they no longer want to be part of the Union. You can’t force a State to be part of the Union, there is nothing in the Constitution that allows for annexation of land, even if it former Federal land.

  • Konrad_Lorenz

That’s absurd. The president is commander-in-chief and has the power to direct a military response to federal troops being fired upon and routed. Furthermore the Lincoln administration was careful to stay within legal bounds regarding the war effort.

For example the president was only authorized to call forth a certain number of militia fighters for a certain amount of time, without the authorization of Congress. Lincoln did not violate these limits, but instead, stayed within them until authorization from Congress was granted.
