There is a move by some idiot professors at UT Austin to try to ban guns on campus. This is especially ironic, because the original campus shooting incident, the one involving Charles Whitman at the Tower of the UT campus in 1966, was contained after about the first 20 minutes, by a mixture of students who had retrieved their hunting rifles from their cars, and police officers. These first responders deprived him of a large swath of his range, thereby limiting his ability to shoot people.

Police can’t be everywhere, and criminals know to look for them, but armed, law-abiding citizens might be a lot closer, and are a lot harder to spot.

I agree. New laws are needed because of the terrorist attacks in Paris and Obama’s importation of terrorists into the United States.

The new law should require everyone over 21 to own a gun, know how to use it, and carry it with them at all times.
