A 67 year old man who was minding his own business and just trying to cross the street was violently assaulted and robbed in St. Louis today. The teen suspects are being sought by police.

FOX News in St. Louis reported:

Elderly man attacked, robbed in Dutchtown South

St. Louis police are searching for three teenagers believed to have attacked and robbed a 67-year-old man in a south city neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 3700 block of Taft Avenue.

A witness told police a trio of teenagers approached the victim as he was crossing the street. The suspects spoke with the man and then punched him in the face.

The victim, who suffered a nasty gash to his forehead, told investigators his wallet was stolen in the attack. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The witness said the suspects ran east in the south alley of the 3700 block of Dewey Avenue.

It’s sad that an older person can be so viciously attacked in broad daylight in America.
