The officials told FOX News they want to meet with Donald Trump.

FOX News has learned exclusively the 26 member board decided unanimously to withhold a presidential endorsement… Union executives told me they want to sit down with Republican candidates, most noatably, front-runner Donald Trump who has collaborated with unionized work forces across his real estate career.

The new attack on Trump –
    Union Endorsements.
They really are pulling out all the stops.

  • Mike in Illinois

    Script Kiddie.

  • John

Last time unions voted GOP??? REAGAN!!

  • Jim

    Please don’t sugar coat it.

  • Dale

As a contractor, Trump has some experience dealing with unions. Donald knows how to negotiate.

  • ridgerunner

For what it’s worth, Hillary is cold and has a lot of the characteristics associated with Asperger’s Syndrome

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/asperger/detail_asperger.htm The social communication deficits in highly functioning persons with
Asperger syndrome include lack of the normal back and
    forth conversation; lack of typical
eye contact, body language, and facial expression; and trouble
    maintaining relationships.

  • Jim

In other word, only one rock from the box is smarter than THE Hillary.

  • tommy mc donnell

I wouldn’t trust the union leaders.

  • frozeninbemidji

Does that mean we’ll get the union label on the wall?

  • ridgerunner

It just occurred to me the other day. We have some friends who have an adult son with this problem. They tried everything and spent a fortune and finally just gave up. His lack of ability to discern right from wrong resulted in him ending up in jail. His father worked with the judge and after a week of that, he has been a model citizen. It is almost like they have to memorize morality and nothing comes from the heart. Then it occurred to me that Hillary has a lot of the same characteristics.

  • Dale

Promise the unions the Keystone pipeline plus the rights to build the wall on the Mexican border.

  • RedGA

Looks like one more item on the list showing us who Trump really is.

  • RedGA

Attack? Just one more group on the left pointing out Trump is one of them. Trump’s own statements have opened this door.

  • volunteerbutnot4u

LOFL, dems counting chickens before they hatch -TRUMP 2016

  • RedGA

They aren’t voting GOP. They are gravitating to someone who has given signs he leans to the left.

  • BalletSlipper

If Trump gets the Teamsters, it is game over TRUMP WINS!!

  • LastAmericanHere

Trump is not anti-union. Trump is pro-jobs. The Dems are pro entitlements.

We could be seeing a historical political shift of unions.

  • obamaScares

Don’t care who gets the label or credit. Just build it!

  • BalletSlipper

Trump deals with unions all the time in his business and they love Trump.

  • RedGA

    He is pro-union.

  • cavt

Is it possible the unions are getting some common sense and actually might do something beneficial for their members? What union member wouldn’t want to see American companies bringing jobs back to America?

  • Joe Adragna

Gotta love The Donald. He is the only guy talking about bringing jobs back. Those idiots Rubio and Carly will either outsource your job or bring in some H1-B1 visa holders who will take your job for 60 cents on the dollar.

  • RedGA

What jobs will he bring back? How?

  • Dem_Slumification_Of_America

Building a wall on the southern border will take massive amounts of TRUCKLOADS (many Teamsters are truckers) of materials to be delivered to where they need to be.

  • frozeninbemidji

    Amen to that.

  • tdrag

Union members are Americans too and a lot of them are Conservatives.

  • john thornborrow

This is the end now. The big endorsements are going to Donald Trump and the handwriting is on the wall. Undeniable and inevitable, Mr. Trump stands astride America, ready to lead us back to greatness!

  • Joe Adragna

If I need to explain that to you here, you are not willing to know how.

  • LastAmericanHere

    Like my dad !

  • payattn

You’re such an anti-Trump spinmeister. This would be a positive coup, if they’re genuinely considering him rather than planning on meeting just to then issue a dismissive statement about the various R candidates to try to dissuade members from voting for him. Some union members and leaders have been upset with Obama and his lackies re: Keystone, Obamacare, Cadillac tax, war on coal, etc. They’ve seen jobs lost and factories shuttered. That’s why Santorum had success – he listen to blue collar workers’ concerns and has urged the GOP to listen to them again. Hillary’s largest donors have typically been the unions. Trump has had to work with unions with his large construction operations. They likely know he knows how to negotiate, and he wants fair trade that doesn’t hurt American workers, has assailed shipping jobs to Mexico then parts back in, and he doesn’t support NAFTA. Hillary’s probably steamed.

  • Dale

As I recall, NAFTA took jobs from Teamsters. Trump has already said that he would renegotiated that deal. Go Trump!

  • Dd1055

The Teamsters are doing this simply to gain greater leverage with the DemocRATS.

  • Jason

Looks like they will have to start including Union Members in their daily polling! But of course those of us in the know already recognized Trump was getting support from Democrats and Independents… and that he will win the General Election if they do not steal the nomination from him.

  • DemroidsAreAPain

How is that different from McCain and Romney, or anyone in the GOP establishment?

  • RedGA

I asked. Apparently you cannot explain. Simple question you should be able to answer. Taxing businesses to force them to stay will not bring jobs back. Forcing companies to have to move entire factories here which means higher costs will not bring jobs back. Simple economics of his plan will not bring jobs back. But of course you as a low information voter would not get that.

  • ZZZzzzz

Whoa….best news of the day! Come on Donald, CLOSE THIS DEAL! Imagine that, the Teamsters backing a Republican who will give them all the work they need and then some, 1 million strong and if they switch, so will many other Unions. Oh, and they can help with bussing in a bunch of voters come Election Day to help put Trump Over the Top! Hillary must be seething right about now.

  • LMFAO, unions meeting with GOP? I’m in the Twilight Zone.

  • tdrag

    Like ME!

  • RedGA

Did I say anything counter to that?

  • Bob Roberts

I’m a Republican, but this webpage is BS.

  • randyo99

That rodham woman is the only person who cannot smell the toast burning.

  • I DIDN’T VOTE FOR THEM!

The Hildabeast is a retard. As a tard she’ll never believe she’s a criminal. Due to the media’s tard-iness on these issues their viewers have all become tards and think Hildabeast is perfect…

  • John (magnum)

If the corrupt mafia run Teamsters endorse Trump, I will not vote for the man !

  • Bob Roberts

    Liberals are mentally defective.

  • Joe Adragna

Think about it. NAFTA is owned by the Dems. Signed by Clinton into law. And then, the giant sucking sound Perot talked about what happened. You can’t do free trade with countries that use slaves for labor.

  • obamaScares

Totally Agree! Increasing free enterprise and stimulating the private sector is so foreign to he liberal bed-wetters the are dumbfounded that it can even been done and if a Republican gets the credit for it, they would rather languish in a depression and negative growth.

  • James Karavias

This will mess with the liberal media heads.

  • Dd1055

This is part of the reason the DemocRATS are importing as many from South America as they can. They know they will lose the white working class vote eventually. They are nullifying the votes they will lose.

  • john thornborrow

Let’s not be hasty! Mr. Trump isn’t seeking such an endorsement! It’s being thrust upon him!

  • BalletSlipper

    Understatement of the year.

    LMAO

  • Joe Adragna

I choose not to explain. There is a difference. . None of those things you posted is necessary.

  • frozeninbemidji

    That’s a fact.

  • Valerie

    As they should.

  • rocky

The Teamsters have been getting screwed ever since the AFL-CIO endorsed the American job killing NAFTA BS.
Good for them. I can do without the communist run AFL-CIO. I can’t do without the guys that move America and the World.

  • Kristin13

Yes, A successful developer who has worked with Unions to successfully get his projects completed often under budget and ahead of schedule.

  • 2tru

Great discernment, Joe. RedGA’s been noted for his Trump Derangement Syndrome in posts across disqus.

  • HellsToyMaster .

When half this nation works part time and makes minimum wage while the top 1% is deliberately making it harder day by day for anyone to follow in their foot steps. Why are Unions such a bad thing? Its obvious that you have never been screwed over by a boss that picks and chooses who gets a raise rather based on performance or tenure.

  • obamaScares

Especially if Trump can get control of the electronic voting machines the Dems have had exclusive rights to through their Teamster affiliation.

  • ZZZzzzz

    I’m LMMFAO!! Twilight Zone fersure!

  • Joe Adragna

You see, no one is obligated to answer trolls.

  • Valmont

The handwriting is on The Great Wall of Trump!

  • Bob Roberts

I think this webpage needs to change it’s look. It’s getting old looking like kooks.

  • Guido Sarducci

    EXCELLENT!!

  • RedGA

Just admit you cannot explain. It’s fine to admit it. None of those things are necessary? It’s his plan short bus. I seriously think none of you Trumpettes have a clue what the man’s plans are. Your comments on these articles really show the low information quality voters he has supporting him.

  • Spudly

If they want to build the Trump wall it wont come with a Biden or Hillary label on it.

  • obamaScares

Hillary is “cold” alright…Cold-hearted and cold-blooded.

  • john thornborrow

    Exactly! What irony!

  • Joe Adragna

Exactly. I wonder why these trolls think we are obligated to debate them about topics we full well know they will never acknowledge as truth.

  • DJD

The unions are not going to vote for Trump or any other GOP, This is pressure to bring Clinton back around on the pipeline, and remind her where the money and votes are. Nothing more.

  • Valerie

    *sigh*

We’ve been through this with the Ronulans, before.

  • Mr. White Folks

Trump just keeps coming with it. Hard not to like this guy.

  • Bob Roberts

Huh? Say again. Romulans? Like Star Trek?

  • Dem_Slumification_Of_America

Teamsters want 1) better deals for current Teamsters and 2) more dues-paying Teamsters.

  • gotham1883

You people who are looking for the perfect candidate must secretly want the democrats or rinos to win. I listened to your nonsense when romney was running. You are the beckys, who have to be nuts to listen to him. You are also the leftist trolls and rino trolls who work for hillbillary and jeb. You also worked for mittens and obama.

  • YesMeansNOMeansYES

being moderate is not a bad thing…. And who are the other candidates?? They stand for nothing, just same ol

  • Sacred Night

The times when people blindly voted the party line, without thinking about just whom they are about to pull the lever for, is over. The RNC and the DNC have lost their relevancy and credibility. It is time for Americans to take their country back. It is time to “make America great again!” Trump will have both Democrats and Republicans install him in office by a landslide.

  • William Sanders

The Unions would be foolish not to endorse Trump. Democratic taxation policies have literally forced businesses out of the US

  • RedGA

I ask a question. You clearly cannot answer. You cannot defend your position. Troll or not it is a question you should be able to answer for the benefit of others. Rather than being proud of your man you back down and hide behind excuses. It’s like Trump and his pimping of his so called faith. He goes to all these events and pimps out his beliefs and his bible he got from his mom but when asked a single verse he hides behind this being private. Typical Trumpette trolls just like their master.

  • FaraDay

    I’m a Union Employee and I endorse TRUMP 2016 !

  • Herewe Goagain

    Ha, sweet.

  • William Thompson

Hillary and “her” people are probably more than steamed. She just might be pissed off however, there’s a lot of mud to be slung, a lot of crap to wade through and a lot more B.S.
to flush before the Donald becomes Serious (note the capital S) The Donald does bring in freshness, a new air of clean up and perhaps he is the man to do it. I would like to hope that he can do it. I am not counting my chickens yet.

  • pajamakat

To them their “opinions” are the truth. I keep getting emails from the DNC – 4 so far today – even one from Barbara Streisand. They are BEGGING for money. Don’t ask me how I got on their list. I just keep emailing back and change to subject line to TRUMP 2016 !!!

  • HellsToyMaster .

Another idiot that would like John McCain to come back to hand the election over to the dems.

  • O. Evan Simpkins

I know it sounds condescending RedGA, but it would take too long (assuming Joe knows how), and I doubt that you would listen.

  • HellsToyMaster .

Its better to get some of what you want then none of it.

  • RedGA

I merely point out the truth and shine the light on the cockroaches. I can’t help it Trumpettes are incapable of defending their candidate. But if you like astronomical debt beyond Obama and universal healthcare then by all means vote for the guy.

  • ZZZzzzz

Some Union Members in my fam are going TRUMP TOO! Woo Hoo!!

  • FaraDay

Not to forget the Democrats obsession with the EPA Regulations that will DESTROY what’s left of the Unions !
Look at Boeing in Seattle !
    Caterpillar in Ohio !
    Quacomm in San Diego !
There’s just too many Victims of the Loving Caring Democrats as examples !

  • Hillary For Prison

The Teamsters know the DemokRATs hate the Keystone pipeline. Right now obamabot Warren Buffet and his railroad moves the oil, not the 100,000’s of thousands of good paying jobs the pipeline will create.

  • tibi

You are the normal little bully, “explain or else”, if you don’t explain” You just keep brow beating hoping to score points. All you are doing is showing people the liberal bulling tactics. The only low information is you.

  • delong003

Now wouldn’t that be something to see!! Man, the dems would totally lose their minds (which is a good thing!)

  • FaraDay

I come from a long line of Union Worker Members that are more then a little Disgruntled by the Democrats !

  • Athena22

This is about America. I understand Repub’s and Dem’s need to wrap their head around the idea. Maybe, it is time for us to cast aside party and really fix our country.
    Amazing.

  • Joe Adragna

You are what is known as a keyboardpoosy. You’d get beaten to within an inch of your life for slandering people with your cute little insults in person. No one is obligated to explain anything to you. It’s obvious by your posts that you are a keyboardkunt.

  • YouDude60

The best thing for our wages and employment rate is enforcing existing immigration law…
    on that I credit Trump.
That said, not every job can be outsourced– and Fiorina is smart enough to understand the
different objectives of an accountable tech-sector CEO vs being POTUS.

  • RedGA

Since they are not truth it’s a non-starter. So actually just keep your mouth shut and don’t defend your guy. Any defense is a waste and a lie. You save us all time by your silence as an admission you have no fact to back up your argument.

  • jeff r

he just better keep his word and build that effing wall!!

  • Dewreck

Ya can’t have a union without jobs..

  • FaraDay

Well, I cannot endorse any Democrats anymore because of their bizarre love of EPA Regulations and Job’s destroying Extreme Environmentalism !

  • FaraDay

Notice in TRUMP’s Tax Plan he has “Deemed Repatriation”
That is to bring back Jobs !

  • Abbie Normal
  • Joe Adragna

    Bingo

  • RedGA

I’ve been listening to this guy for years. He’s flipped on every position and appears to now be circling back to his left leaning positions. Even over the weekend he says universal healthcare for all courtesy of the government. He’s back to being a Democrat.

  • FaraDay

That’s a Given ! He will have T.R.U.M.P. emblazoned on it as well I would predict.

  • JohnWolf

    Makes perfect sense to me

They are tired of the Democrats destroying their country.
They want good paying jobs. Not HillaryCare Handouts

  • Joe Adragna

You are correct. And some jobs may need to be placed by an H1-B1—However, not before an American cannot be found to fill it.

  • Paul

Hey Red, this is about jobs

  • DannyS

Here’s why. Unions know he’s working to bring jobs and capital back into the US.

Republican contender Donald Trumppromised that if he is elected President, “one of the early things” he would do is impose punitive tariffs on Ford Motor Company to force the Dearborn-based automaker to drop a multi-billion dollar expansion plan in Mexico which Trump says will cause job losses.

In announcing his decision to run for President on Tuesday, Trump said he would call “the head of Ford, who I know” and tell him: “Let me give you the bad news: every car, every truck and every part manufactured in this plant that comes across the border, we’re going to charge you a $35 tax—OK?—and that tax is going to be paid simultaneously with the transaction.”
    http://www.forbes.com/sites/doliaestevez/2015/06/19/donald-trumps-threat-to-force-ford-to-scrap-expansion-plan-in-mexico-very-unlikely-under-nafta/

Donald Trump is calling the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) a “disaster” and vowing to renegotiate or break the deal if elected president.

“It’s a disaster,” Trump told CBS’s Scott Pelley in an interview airing Sunday on “60 Minutes.” “We will either renegotiate it or we will break it because you know every agreement has an end.

  • American Sniper

    The Great Wall of Trump!

  • Baron Münchhausen

Perhaps the unions realized that the mass importation of third world trash will dissolve the standards of living for all of it’s members. Or they’re just trying to leverage more freebies from the democrats…

    Hmmmm

  • Danny

Beautiful, the old broad is falling apart and losing support left & right. Throw her in jail and be done with her.

  • Woosh

As disgusting as they are the parties are not the problem, per se. The problem is the leftists. American patriots of all stripes can unite but the left is relentless in it’s destruction.

  • RedGA

Well since I am not a liberal you have shown yourself as a complete idiot who assumes those who do not agree with your cookie cutter groupthink is a liberal. Funny thing is that you are the one here defending a guy who is showing his liberal colors and you are too ignorant to see it.

  • Paul

    My dad too

  • John (magnum)

I have my doubts that he will be the nominee, but we all have seen the damage the unions have done to America !

  • Marchin’ Lootin’ King

You really believe that in a country of 320 million, with hundreds of top universities, that it is ever the case that “an American cannot be found”?

  • 4realz

I think he means it. He’s been talking about the illegal immigration problem for years, not just for the election.

  • JohnWolf

    Simple Question:

Who is more corrupt, Hillary or Obama?

  • tibi

You never have anything to say but something negative and call people names. That is a true liberal to me. If you want to have a conversation you don’t have to stoop to name calling,

  • Joe Dick

That 50% number only works if you count 35 hours a week as a full-time job. Funny how they don’t use 40 hours as the baseline.I guess that wouldn’t “sell” any more than I could ask my boss for five hours of vacation each week.

Why are the Paid Soros Trolls attacking the Unions?

Trump also said “If I am elected President I will immediately approve the Keystone XL pipeline. No impact on environment & lots of jobs for U.S.” in a tweet back in August. Hillary on the other hand finally admitted she’s a no on it.

  • JohnWolf

Who gave our enemies, the classified information about Seal Team Six
They used that information, to assassinate them.,

  • Dale

The coal miner’s union should jump on the Trump bandwagon, too.

  • RedGA

So by your logic Trump is a liberal. I asked a simple question. Call people names? Convenient you attack me for doing what others have also done. I guess it is OK to ignore them but condemn me. Hypocrite. And this comes from the one calling me a bully and liberal. You may want to pull the plank out of your own eye.

  • FaraDay

I like TRUMP’s “Deemed Repatriation” in his Tax Plan as well.
NAFTA was a total disastrous Jobs destroyer for Americans.

  • jbl1984

  • babumjane

If the conservatives were able to get the thing they wanted done we would not have been in the mess we are in today. The Rino/dems stopped everything they tried to get through congress. Maybe with a non politician we will have a chance.

  • babumjane

    Amen!!

  • LibertyR

The Teamsters could be seeing the writing on the wall with regards to illegals. Trump is going to bring jobs and cut off the source of very low wage labor, which the unions “should” love. This might be one of the only time the unions align with our interest. You shouldn’t base your vote solely on who the Teamsters endorse if their interest is the same as yours.

  • jparker70

don’t forget the difference between public and private unions… Private unions are still held in check by sucking their company so dry they are all out jobs, public unions have an endless trough of tax money and politician favor. I hate unions, but at least recognize their is a check-n-balance on the private ones…

  • Dale

Every union that is a victim of Obama’s EPA should instantly become a strong Trump supporter.

  • tibi

lol as I said: You are attacking me and calling me an idiot, cookie cutter groupthink, ignorant and now you say “I am attacking you”. It is sad that you dislike Donald Trump so much that you will down play his role before you know anything about what will happen. The Union has said they want to met with him. Everything that is being said is conjuncture. So your display of hatred is noted for Trump and I guess you will be happy with Hillary. Enough said.

  • The Nev

Just want to remind “conservatives” that using freedom of association to lobby your employer for better wages is not socialism. It is the very definition of a free market action. Employer/employee relationships are not one way streets that should only benefit the employer. Too many Limbaugh/Levin/Hannity listeners have been brainwashed into believing that having a job should be viewed as a blessing. As if you owe your employer something.

Employment is a contract. Period. You pay this; I perform a commensurate task. There is nothing owed to either party outside of that contract. When tasks increase, pay should necessarily increase.

There is no one that lives in reality that doesn’t understand that unions today are seen as generally corrupt. In many cases that public sector unions are a political laundering scheme to empower those with political contacts as well as themselves. Politicians fight for higher wages to unions. Unions then donate to said politicians and surrogate causes. However, this is absolutely no different than giving $3 Billion in “aid” to Egypt with $2 Billion of that earmarked towards them buying arms from American defense contractors. Laundering is laundering no matter whose radio show is brainwashing you.

  • FaraDay

Come on COAL Union endorse TRUMP and save your Jobs, Homes and Families !
SEIU thinks Bernie is their savior, but he’s a Old Marxist Leninist Bread & Jobs Bowl She Vick instead.
Anyone that knows what happened under Trotsky & Lenin’s Red Terror would never want to Vote for Bernie and would Switch to TRUMP.
TRUMP is about Jobs people Jobs !

So your pants suit lesbian explains everything doe she?? Hum seems like she is dodging everything that comes her way. Maybe this time she ran out of corners to hide in and will be sharing a cell with another Lesbian.

  • Mr Pete

I think unions understand they have lost top paying union jobs, they now have hotel workers, teachers, TSA
But they want to get back to big auto, they want the trucking, they want the oil rigs, the pipeline
The Pacific Trade Agreement is not good for unions, killing the pipeline not good for unions ,
and they do know that Trump would be a pain in the butt, but he will also start to rebuild the country, he will get the roads, bridges built again
Remember all the billions in stimulus that was to get America moving , where did all of that $$$$ go
Obama needs to be held accountable

  • John (magnum)

Endorsing Obama not once but twice is enough

Remember, the link between Communism and Trade Unions is strong. Now the rank and file are red blooded American Patriots, but the Comrads that run the Communist party are have deep links to Big Labor.

  • AClearThought

The unions have been losing members and are not seeing a promising future with a massive influx of foreign workers supported by all the Dem candidates and most Rep. Candidates as well. They also know Trump is a more stable fixture in business than any politician…It makes sense…

    Just like Obama brainwashed you.

Why are the Democrat Trolls attacking the Unions?

    Also, the Soros Trolls

  • FaraDay

But TRUMP is not taking “donations” from anyone other then ordinary people on his website. He has no Super PAC. He won’t take a thin penny in Pay as President either !

Sure not helping the Communists in the Puget Sound losing all those Jobs to China at Boeing !

  • tymwltl

Pretty basic stuff these union clowns are starting to realize: It takes a lot more than a DemocRAT promising you more money when it actually takes real money people making real jobs from private investments to pay the wages these guys in the union want for their members. The government creates ZERO wealth. Big government only sucks away the fruits of the working class and throws a little back to the crowd to keep them quiet while telling us how much good their doing for us, bull $hit !

  • The Purple Finger

Unions thugged to import illegal breakers and enterers for 40+ years. Took them THIS long to see what CA home builder and contractor unions saw as the Mexicans took their jobs.

  • ZZZzzzz

Exactly, and in his book Art of the Deal which I read recently and just finished Surviving At The Top, it’s full of stories of how he worked with the Unions quite successfully. This news was broken to Rosen at Fox and Trump met with Ailes and made peace. Everything is falling into place.

  • FaraDay

lololol. You need to do more research if you think Carly grasps accountability. Her pay was cut for missing her performance benchmarks. She consolidated power and authority in her office creating bottlenecks, then refused to delegate when the board approached her about the problems. She was fired and no corporation hired her in the following ten years. She outsourced 30k jobs overseas. She has only worked in establishment politics for the last decade, then lies and says she’s an outsider.

  • The Nev

Interesting. To win the endorsement all he would have to do is promise to remain neutral on Right to Work (leave it to the States) and promise to roll back a lot of the regulatory nonsense that kills jobs.

Yes, I think the private sector unions really are that desperate.

  • FaraDay

Their workmanship is terrible as well. I’ve seen absolute disasters caused by the illegals doing ALL the California Construction.

Oh gosh, that video is priceless as Bill looks straight into all the major MSM cameras and says that.

  • PileofRocks2

He’ll get Congress to pass a law that says I brought back jobs. Will that help you understand as for the majority of Dem’s it’s only the title of the bill that matters?

  • Bitter Clinger

Screw Kasich. He’s for amnesty like Shitllary and Jebbie.

  • Teddi

    John – you know me…

That is not a good position. He needs votes to win. We must win before ANYTHING can be accomplished

  • Dolittle

The Teamsters is a dying union. Their endorsement doesn’t mean anything. Most of the Central States Teamsters are getting thrown under the bus with a major blow to their pension thanks to Hoffa and Congress. I doubt Hoffa could lead the members to vote on any candidate. Unless it was to vote Hoffa and his crony that runs the Central States pension fund out of office

  • Bob Roberts

We had Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt and JFK. Obama? Jesus, what a mess.

  • William Austin

They also endorsed Reagan and look how that turned out

  • The Nev

Nice to know the GOP has moved completely away from liberty. Beware what you wish for with naked corporatism. You just might get it.

Good God, next it’ll be the teachers’ union supporting Trump. Can you say LANDSLIDE?? I knew you could!

  • John (magnum)

Yes I do, but the Teamsters IS the mafia.

  • I would gladly accept union contracts to build the border wall — even if it costs TWICE as much — just to get the job done. It would be a mortal blow to the New World Order.

The teachers unions are the worst of the worst , not only are they blood sucking parasites, they actually make educating children their last priority .Not saying there aren’t a whole lot of good teachers out there because there are but their unions are horrible.

  • kshala

Republicans are not anti-union. They ARE anti public employee union. Just like FDR was. Public unions have ruined every city in America and an awful lot of states. Their goal is only 1 thing – to live off the public teat without accountability. Republicans want everybody to succeed and they want the federal government to stop meddling in state and local affairs. If the world made sense and union leadership worked for the good of members, private sector unions would be pro-GOP because the GOP means business, jobs, lower taxes, personal responsibility. That’s what the hard working members of the Teamsters and UAW rank and file want too. Wake up guys. Start thinking for yourselves.

  • Oracle Jones

Hillary spent six of her working years sitting on Walmart’s board of directors working hard to keep employee wages and benefits low and prevent unions from forming…

…….why any union would endorse her is beyond me

  • Mad Hatter

Add to that having only American citizens on construction sites, especially housing sites. You can hardly find any Americans building homes anymore. The contractors have turned their back on the American workers.

All politicians need to be held accountable, not just Obama. Both the DNC and GOP made public debt private in order to save the ultra-rich from their own greed. it is about time!!! Go Trump, Go!! You are our life preserver. You have brought back our Faith in a time when this administration has depressed all of us, for the past 7 years. We are sick and tired of being depressed and oppressed this has been Obama plan all along, to teach America a lesson and paybacks for his years of hating this nation.

    We thank you, Mr. Trump.

  • Jerry Frey

I’m a liberal Democrat but I would vote for Donald Trump because he will shake up a system that desperately needs to be rocked to its foundations. I’d also vote for Bernie Sanders for the same reason. God help the USA is it’s a Bush vs. Clinton election of more business as usual serving the same interest groups while the country circles the drain. 310 million people in the US is enough. 200 million was already plenty. Resources are limited and a larger population is a liability not a boon. All immigration should stop as a matter of environmental and resource protection.

Because the SEIU and its leadership doesn’t look out for the needs of their members but only left wing ideology. I can’t imagine any scenario where the vile teachers union would endorse Trump or anyone that expected results. A whole lot of individual teachers might support him though.

  • La Billyboy

The Unions LOVE the idea of sealing the border and exiting all the ILLEGALS. Getting rid of all the low wage cash under the table illegals will drive up labor wages for everyone. With Trump everyone gets a good wage, no more illegal slave labor.

  • lee

They can fix that mistake now, by endorsing Trump.

  • pgroup

Hopefully they pull hard enough to split her in two.

    (figuratively speaking)

  • Zigger

Donald Trump is the only viable candidate between both parties.

  • Honest John

As a long time “middle manager” in industrial plants, I have worked often with Teamsters.

After the Jimmy Hoffa – mobster leadership left, never had a problem, in fact enjoyed working with Teamsters. They were good workers standing up for a fair shake – companies don’t do that easily. Anyway more power to them and thanks for jumping off the leftist liberal whacko Democrat train wreck.

Yep, we have to work to encourage “big business” types to be reasonable (they are GREEDY little buggers), BUT it’s a darn site better than “big govt” – they can/will/ arrest you and whack you with the IRS / DOJ / EPA … when you don’t agree.

With bus loads of illegal aliens willing to work for a fraction of minimum wage, how are unions even relevant? Could they be catching on?

  • Tecumseh1768

Ok but at least they are Americans.

  • Mike in Illinois

    LOL @ anti Trump.
Union members and union “leadership” are two very very different things – especially when it comes to trade unions. Tradesmen would serve themselves well to wrestle control of their own unions fromthe pathetic politicians robbing them blind.

Yes some are upset with Obama, they got upset with Quinn too. Maybe that is because both lied through their teeth to gain election. Cry me a river now, the unions loved all that loot in both donation and gubmint contracts. That is the circle they play.

Union members have sent their dollars to fund DEMOCRAT elections for decades…and they want to cry about Democrat policies that harm them directly? Especially after sooooo many times being told by those of us who watched it all play outand calling US wrong? Hardly. They made their beds, so take a nap. Take RESPONSIBILITY for Obama, rather than cry about how he was juking them. They did it to themselves.

Back to Trump. Try reading more than just a couple comments of mine and jumping to conclusions. I do not support trump or oppose trump – and I have said quite a few times that I love what he is doing, stirring the pot. It needs to be done. Hammering the foolishness of the GOPe, that needs done to and I am glad he is doing it.

But none of that means I shouldn’t be honest about Trump. I don’t spin, brother, I just keep it real no matter who it is. You know why? Cuz personality and celebrity isn’t what this country needs. Honest and open discussion about truthful substance is. And that is exactly what I do. Sorry you have trouble recognizing that.

  • Honest John

Consider the possibility that all unions are not the same.

Govt employee unions are indeed the bottom of the barrel –
actually redundant since govt workers by definition are
seldom more than leaches, hardly “public servants”.

From experience, don’t think the Teamsters are anywhere
near like the “govt employee unions” – a whole different
    class of person.

Did they have “mob problems” in the past? Yep… But I
think that is history, best left dead and buried.

  • Bob34
  • buzman

TRUMP did not back down on 60 minutes about rounding up the illegals, and sending them back. once they are sent back, there will be a demand for legal American workers. big businesses will have to pay a decent wage once again…..GTFO illegals
    TRUMP 2016 !

  • FaraDay

    Yes they are !

  • michael dodge

Good. Hillary is a satanist pig

  • lee

Trump is running on bringing those jobs back! To beat a liberal you must think like a liberal. Just deporting the 11 million illegals & deferring & all foreign work for 4 yrs.will free up millions of jobs. Plus sending those foreign IT workers that Disney forced AMERICANS to train to take their jobs.

  • JDinSTL

This is beautiful. Nothing better than seeing the “wise men” in the political establishment eat their words. Their presumed “expertise” is merely a recounting of the last war. We should rename it the “LOST” war.

  • Mike in Illinois

Trump has a progressive streak a mile wide. And as time goes on that will become more and more undeniable. This reality does not change the fact that he is exposing the whole corrupt lot for what they are. The nation will be, heck already is, better off for Trump being in this race. That is especially true regarding putting a great big check on the power of Old Media.

Trump is opening many a door – and that is a very good thing for all of us. Some have just not yet realized how many doors he has tossed open to the point they are off the hinges. I like that too.

  • mensa141

Amazing! Please tell me that unions are actually thinking of a better life for their members. About time!!

  • Misty Graves

Trump just may be the linchpin we need to make this economy boom. It only takes one person in the right position at the right time that loves this country to make America great again.

  • Teddi

I don’t like unions. My Dad had a plant in Detroit and they fought with him over unionization for 20+ yrs. I some ways it was a large contributor to him becoming sick and dying early in his life.

John, your comment is true, but if you look at the trend for unions over the last 40 yrs – its downhill like a out of control freight train. Let them go downhill – we’ll just use them in the process w/ Trump [ in regard to votes ].

  • Misty Graves

Will cost Mexico twice as much.

  • Dale

All non-government unions should be for Trump. All government unions should be made illegal.

  • Henri de la Rochejaquelein

stopping the illegals would do more for the working man than the unions have done in the last fifty years

  • Jaybird7

Ford plants that went to Mexico for starters. We need good high paying jobs here. Who is going to buy our goods? It’s called nationalism. The Koreans understand it very well. They only buy their own cars..Hyundai, KIA and Daewoo.

  • John (magnum)

    ROTFLMAO

You actually believe he will deport 11 million illegals.

    I have a bridge to sell…….

More like 40 million now and the dems, RINO’s and liberal courts would stop it !

  • Misanthropic Moose

With regard to Trump, there is no mystery, the GOP spit in the faces of their base. The GOP managed to throw away the most remarkable electoral victory in a generation in only one month, maneuvering themselves into a position where the losers who were crushed in 2014 are now making demands of the winners to shore up a 100% progressive agenda. The GOP betrayed their base, and now they’re scratching their heads trying to understand Trump’s popularity?

  • mensa141

After studying NLR laws from both sides I would venture that a lot of problems that anyone has with unions is the NLR laws. Get congress to make the laws more relevant to helping the average worker and not defending the worthless bloodsuckers then you would see unions and their work excel in the US.

  • Teddi

    As usual, you get it.

  • saintpeeter

Trump is just what the country needs right now. He wants to solve what he knows are the real problems in the country. He is a doer and knows how to get things done. He knows career politicians just do a lot of talking for appearances.

As Icahn said today, Trump has the business knowledge – and he can appeal to Democrats and Republicans.

As president Trump would have no partisan interest.

    Sounds good to me.

  • Misty Graves

Socialism only works in a stagnant society.

  • saintpeeter

Unions know that Trump’s policies would help them immensely. They stuck with Democrats because the Democrats promise them favors thru politics. But if the real economy can create enough jobs, the unions would not be dependent on the Democrats anymore.

  • ownit

You’re not as stealthy at it as you think. You’ve already said you’re not voting for Trump or Cruz and manage to slip digs into most of your verbose diatribes.

  • mensa141

Funny how that has changed in Georgia over the past few years…….

For all the liberals that say Americans and particularly black Americans won’t take the jobs illegals did you are so wrong. I see those people out working every day in Georgia and doing a great job too!

  • Have Blue

The Teamsters are smart. They know you gotta talk to BOTH sides, and sometimes support the other side, in order to get respect from EITHER side. Most dem constituencies don’t have this figured out.

  • Bitter Clinger

Kasich is a bigger RINO than Jebbie. He shouldn’t even be in this race.

  • Misty Graves

I agree. With that said I wouldn’t mind a guest worker program that has nothing to do with citizenship.
When we have jobs available that we can’t fill with an American citizen after a period of time we can allow outsiders to fill them as a stop gap measure. Then they go home.
    Everyone wins.

  • mensa141

Very easy John. I realize this many be hard for a liberal to understand so read carefully and slowly. E-Verify. No work, no freebies. They will go back or be irrelevant in any case. Done.

  • GregBuls

I like Rand Paul, but he’s got no ground to stand on here. Just look at his 4 big reasons Trump isn’t conservative (RedGA, you’re REALLY vocal, why not be substantive and answer these arguments? . All answers will amount to whining compared the extent of our problems, but go for it.)

    1. Imminent domain – not ideal or pretty, but Trump offered one of the parties in question $1.9 million for a property that sold years later for $500,000. And he wasn’t in business to be a political purist.
    2. Tax increaser: Trump’s long ago idea was to balance the budget completely with a one time asset tax on people with $10 million in assets (probably more like $20 million in today’s money.) It would have been accompanied by a balanced budget amendment, which means entitlements would likely have been reformed long ago. Good idea or bad, Paul knows he is essentially lying by calling it a tax increase, which implies it is an increase in existing rates, is ongoing, and will affect millions.
    3. Single payer – Trump has not been exactly clear about this, but his intent is not to socialize and fossilize the system. There is no objective reason why US health care has to cost so much more than care in other countries, and Trump has no debts owed that prevent him from finding out why and going after the problem. Most of his projects are done ahead of time and under budget.
    4. Stimulus support – If the money had been spent effectively as promised and significant infrastructure improvements were made as promised, it might have been ‘worth it’ from a dollars and sense standpoint to front-load all of that spending to get the economy moving. That’s how it was sold, Trump didn’t support it in retrospect.

I loved it when Reagan fired the air contollers back in the 80s. When you take a critical job like that you shouldn’t be able to use it’s importance as leverage.

  • John (magnum)

I agree, but the same people I mentioned above will stop it. I am no lib, brainiac !

  • gj

The men and women in the unions for the most part are REAL people: work hard, play hard. The ones I’ve met are NOT politically correct–pick any politically correct bs thing “that cannot be said” and these men and women are saying it at least to each other.

I love it that the guy they want to talk to also talks like one of them. No BS. No PC. Real men, real women. Nicest people in the world unless you pick on one of their own. These men and women have something in common with “the Donald”.

  • FaraDay

LoL, Bernie the Bowl She Vick on his Lower East Side Soap Box under the Lenin Statue in “Red Square” in NYC yelling “Bread and Jobs” (and mass depopulation and Gulags)
Didn’t work out recently for Boeing in Puget Sound where Fremont Seattle has the other Lenin statue this week !

  • mensa141

John, you are a special kind of person aren’t you?

  • Teddi

My only problem is with public unions. There should be NO public [ gov’t unions ] because we [ citizens ] have nobody negotiating on our behalf. Private sector unions can have at it – the business they are negotiating with and market principles will dictate in those cases….

  • ron

This would be huge if the unions support Trump. Yesterday Icahn tomorrow the unions and 2016 President Trump…..

  • The Colonel

It’s simple economics for the unions, Trump will create real jobs instead of flipping burgers for minimum wage. And these jobs will be here in the US, not in India or China.

  • mensa141

Now let’s not get horny about this….

  • Misty Graves

I don’t worry so much about union members as I do union politicos.

  • UnCL3

I hope this is true…even tho I hate the unions

  • kangaroo

Well the unions now on a sinking ship , time to jump on the conserve side, thing is trump don’t need them and neither did Walker and neither do we. We have a right to work in this day and age, unions are old a good eye opener, lost on the libs though. Lets also kick the muzz to the curb while we are on a roll.

  • Fumagalli

As free born U.S. citizens, we have a right to our home. We have a right to defend our home from this illegal Third World invasion…and we will.

  • Amjean

That is how it is in much of the country.

  • Hillpill

The unions don’t want to waste their support for someone soon to be in jail.

  • Maffa

Trump is our man, for all of you who want democrat president again, move to another socialist country, we are sick and tired of supporting your laziness.

  • pungolee

People sense a Movement and want to be a part of it. This may be the last chance to save a small amount of what once was America, and folks sense it. That movement is Trump.

  • kangaroo

WE have laws in place now, we don’t need unions, all they do is line their pockets with our hard earned money and do jack sheet for us. The old days are over no unions

Unions… worked out great for the US auto industry

  • Westsailor .

It boggles the mind, doesn’t it? I’m still not sure the GOP has figured it out except for all the establishment candidates suddenly trying to convince everyone they are “conservative”.

The Teamsters endorsed Reagan in 1984.

  • kangaroo

    This ain’t 1984

  • Westsailor .

The damage is by public (gov’t) unions. Market/labor forces keep trade unions in line. Not so public unions. Ever try to fire a federal worker? Impossible

  • Westsailor .

As Trump has said, all you have to do is remove the benefits & incentives that brought them here to begin with and they will leave on their own.

  • Ms Chievous

So, in effect you will be voting for Hillary

  • kangaroo

Well the ball is in Trumps court, let see what he says. Prolly a make or break for a lot of us

  • Tori

    Deja vu all over again.

  • Billy__Goat

Unions are why all jobs went overseas. They’ve priced themselves out of the market and besides government unions like education police and fire fighters unions. The rest are struggling. Don’t bail them out trump.

  • lee

Jonh, your missing the beauty of Trump becoming President. All he needs to do is enforce a law that already passed ….E-VERIFY and no benefits for illegals even if they have anchor baby. The’ll self deport at their own experience! Executive order will stop foreign work visa program. The problem is going to be deporting the ‘refugees’ invading muslim army out of here. That will take the Militia!

  • Westsailor .

How can they stop existing law? It’s Obama selectively NOT enforcing current immigration law that has resulted in a virtual invitation to Latin Americans to cross out border. All Trump needs to do is ensure existing Federal law is enforced.

  • HillBilly

    HillBilly!

  • kangaroo

Twinkies anyone, nope, well the union shut them down

  • Billy__Goat

And Twinkies made a comeback without the overpaid lazy union slob making them.

The illegals are doing the jobs no American is willing to do. If you think sending illegals back will cause a mass rush of legal workers towards these jobs, you’re mistaken.

  • kangaroo

  • Dale

Sorry, but the new ones are not the same. They are smaller and taste different. I stopped buying them.

  • Richy Pope

That’s crap. Who does all the roofing jobs in 100 degree heat? Who is mowing all the lawns and putting in all the landscaping under the sweltering sun? Mexicans are. They are the hardest workers around.

  • SoSayethTheBored

Plus, they don’t taste the same now.

  • carl6352

i was thinking the same thing. that’s allot of due payers waiting to be hired! this guy is a salesman extrodinaire, he just might be able to sell them on his ideals!

  • James E. Rustles

Wow, that’s beautiful. This is why we need a businessman in the White House. He actually knows how to work through labor issues to get things done. As a businessman, he’s been buying politicians and workers his entire life to make things happen. Why wouldn’t you want someone like him in there moving industry and actually creating private sector jobs?

  • John (magnum)

I doubt if he will be the nominee and there is still plenty of time to do the research.

I like The Donald but hate unions.

  • Billy__Goat

Unions suck and are out dated. Nothing but a pyramid scheme invented by the mob. Claims to protect the worker. From what? This isn’t the 1940s anymore. Jobs are different and isn’t that what OSHA is for.

  • kangaroo

Well the restrictions on sugar and salt, I am not surprised, the gov thinks all we do is sit around and eat twinkies, watch reruns. Hey we can’t afford it

  • Dave

Private sector unions do have at it. That’s why cars and other US-made products cost what they do. Still, I might agree with you if it weren’t for the NLRB heavily rigging the game in favor of unions and against businesses. No company can negotiate a fair contract anymore. Boeing was even blocked from relocating a plant to a right-to-work state.
As to public unions, there should be no right to organize against the taxpayers.

  • Billy__Goat

Ya and the National Dept would be 75 trillion because we all know unions over charge. Who do u think got the “shovel ready” jobs of 1 trillion. Unions road crews. Kick back from Obama.

Nope, that’s just lib propaganda. Plenty of landscapers, construction guys, remodelers being pushed out by illegals, as well as teens.

I used to drive truck. We hired a lawyer to try to keep the Teamsters out of our location (we got no vote, no nothing, thanks to a court order). Of course, we ended up losing. They can go f–k themselves, all of these union goons.

  • Billy__Goat

Different era. In Regan’s time 52 people owned different news outlets where 90 percent of America got their news. That number is 5 people now. With all the mergers. 24-7 news, agenda driven news.. All this won’t even get trump to the last lap of the race. Media needs to be broken up. ABC/Disney doesn’t need to own 112 different outlets.

  • Reason And Believing

That’s the news what does that have to do with the Teamsters?

Donald Trump Supports Russia And Putin Entering Syria To Kill Off ISIS And Protect Christians From Islamic Terrorists

By Theodore Shoebat Its refreshing to see that Trump is the only
candidate who is not touting the typical superficial anti-Russia
propaganda that America has been hearing for decades. Trump supports
Putin entering Syria with Russian military presence, which means that he

Unions see the writhing on the wall and want in on the winning side. Plus, Trump will create as many or more jobs than Reagan. Plus get as many illegals out of the work force as he can. Democrats will oppose that tooth and nail. I hope Trump is our nominee. I also hope he does not turn into a RINO like many of the others we have elected in the past.

It is premature at this point to draw any conclusions. However, If they do endorse Trump, it is absolutely the end of the line for hillary and she won’t have a choice in the matter.

Biden will announce and the left will give her a short window to retire her candidacy. If she don’t, they will tear into her like a pack of starving, rabid dogs… possibly even with 0bama ordering the leak of something juicy that will be the final nail in her legal problem coffin.

Nobody likes the woman except her nutty fem groupies and if she loses the Teamsters… wow… nothing terrifies the dems more than another Ronald Reagan and they are watching the Trump train barreling toward them and gathering steam.

Only the the truly stupid can’t see what’s coming. The Washington criminals, the Wall Street criminals and the MSM have all seen the writing on the wall now.

I hope Trump has the sense to have hired the best Mercs and ex-SFs money can buy for security because the only way they are stopping this man now is by snuffing him.

America is in no mood to watch their last hope go up in a JFK moment, there will be war this time around.

  • logic4Uall

“the jobs no American is pay willing to do” is a myth. Either the pay scale will attract workers, or the jobs will be mechanized. That can’t happen if the pay is too cheap. Low wages stunts innovation.

  • Wendy Henke

Our prisons are packed with nonviolent (1-strike-you’re-out drug offenders) and white-collar criminals. As part of their ‘discipline’ and ‘restitution to society’, require them to do the jobs no Americans want to do, instead of sending them to ‘jail’. It might give them a better appreciation for hard work and deter repeat offenders. Likewise for those able-bodied folks on extended unemployment, require that they do those jobs if they can’t find a better-suited job within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Ms Chievous

I’ll tell you, I’d vote for Trump even if he was a democrat and I have NEVER voted democrat For anything in all my years.

  • Teddi

Well acquainted with the auto unions as said somewhere below…

No auto company completely negotiated their [ profit ] existence away and survived until the GM bailout due to Obama. You surrender to the union as a private sector company and you can/should expect to die. But I agree w/ you on the NLRB issue and Boeing was a real tipping point.

  • lcicenine

Unlike demoncraps some people want to work.

You can be moral or you can want to win.

Gov’t unions are bankrupting every state and city in the country.
Unfunded liabilities are outpacing our ability to pay for them.
Taxpayers don’t have the money for tax hikes and another recession is just around the corner with the Fed unable to print us into prosperity.
As usual democRAT failures are reported as the fault of conservatives refusing to go along, but not this time. The ‘RAT’s got everything they wanted and more from these so called conservatives.

  • Sean_in_Nyc

While this would certainly bode well for Mr. Trump in a general election, it’s going to make his job in getting the GOP nod much, much harder. I’ve actually donated money to Trump’s campaign, even though his doesn’t need it. The hard core leftists in the Teamster leadership (who do not in any way reflect the views of the rank and file blue collar guys) gave us Obama, Obamacare, and then re-elected Obama. If those communists think that Trump will be good for them, then that means Trump, by default, would have to be bad for America.

  • tibet

When the labor market is tight for unskilled workers, the pay and benefits packages for those jobs increases, and people take them. It happened in the poultry plants, but with all the undocumented workers flooding into the country these past few years, pay has been flat. Most people I work with speak English as a second language, if they speak it at all, that is.

  • takspyr

Bush gave us Obama. Romney gave us Obama round2.

The teens I know would never do the landscaping, construction, remodelers, hotel service workers, etc that the immigrants do. Too much hard work. Not where I live anyway. And sadly, their parents don’t want them doing those jobs either so they allow the kids to do nothing but party, drink, drugs etc. And the parents support them. Tooo many of our kids are WAAAAYYYY to lazy and not worth a plug nickel.

  • emiliani

This is pretty much where i thought Trump could win. He’ll have union support because union support is what he’s needed to do most of his work. Republicans have been stupid to ignore unions … Dems could care less about them.

  • tuffydog

Oh NO the Unions of Ohio DID NOT help to elect Kasich! They NEVER endorsed him either! In fact Kasich tried to do to Unions in Ohio what Scott Walker DID do in Wisconsin.Unions marched on the State Capital for WEEKS trying to keep Kasich from pushing the legislation through. Ohioans had to collect signatures and put it on the ballad in 2012. WE won. Google 2011 Ohio State Bill 5. Kasich is NOT well liked in Ohio, he won the last election pretty much by default. Don’t believe everything he spouts. I know this because I live in Ohio, and a close Relative helped gather signatures for the referendum to put it on the Ohio ballad.

  • Maroon Baboon

In order to win an election (especially a Republican for president), you have to get people to vote for you who don’t necessarily agree with you on some things (see: Reagan Democrats).

The upside for Trump is that he broadens the coalition more than any other R candidate. And this is just one small example.

  • jersey

And they (Mexicans) walk around in the snow looking for work shoveling snow while the teens do absolutely nothing. I blame the parents for that.

  • Jerry Cross

Who do you think did all this before we were swamped with illegals? Sure they work hard, the American worker has gotten lazy as hell. But it’s time the lazy people get back in the game.

Problem now is the Democrats now have a president that will not, does not want to, and probably the main reason cannot tell the truth about anything, he is sick with some kind of virus or teachings (like communism) that has destroyed our economy, hence no jobs therefore no need for any unions.
The unions want to stay in business, they must back TRUMP. The Democrats have let their leader destroy this country and won’t do a thing to stop him. And they are starting to push a clown as their candidate to run for president. Somebody buy him some shoes and a red nose.

  • dcwc16

Is this the same teamsters who are planning to shaft their retirees by cutting their retirement benefits because they managed it poorly? Remember the Dems and Rino’s jointly passed a bill in Jan to make it legal. If I were a Teamster I would be worried;. Ok give them the pipeline, let them bid but eliminate prevailing wages. And pass nationwide right to work laws. However they would be better off with Trump than the Democrat Party.

Hopefully President Trump will find a way to outlaw public employee unions, a true cancer on the body politic.

  • Asok Asus

This is a VERY smart tactic by the unions to prevent the Rats from automatically assuming they’ve got the unions’ support. Even though Trump is behind shutting down illegal immigration and deporting as many illegals as possible, for the XL pipeline, and for bringing back manufacturing jobs from overseas, I still would be shocked if the unions endorsed Trump.

I think it’s just a negotiating ploy to obtain more leverage over the Rats.

Now it would be REALLY fun if the black organizations could figure out how to do the same thing to the Rats as well. It’d be a real hoot if they threatened to jump ship like the unions. The Rats would sweating .50 caliber machine gun bullets if their “natural” constituencies started to hold them up like this.

  • Steve Fraser

Teamsters run railroads, coal hauling railroads…

  • Codetrader

Keystone Pipeline was a big deal to the Unions….Hillary messed that up and went with the environmentalists.

  • Woosh

It takes union labor to build and repair infrastructure.

  • Steve Fitzpatrick

    WINNING WINNING TRUMP2016

  • Zeddly

+100. I have always felt Public Sector Unions should be abolished by Law. Because there is no profit/loss mechanism w. them. Private Sector Unions are a completely different animal. They are still grounded in that reality.

  • Jimbo180

Trump wants to end NAFTA. I knew that position would appeal to the unions. If he wins the nomination he will steal a lot of union votes from the Democrats.

  • Steve

You think those will be enough?? Well, the Donald is going to promise jobs, jobs, jobs…I hope he can/will succeed.

  • Steve

They will if they are smart. What are the Dems promising, but equal pay for women…

  • SonofaCV15

Surely the Teamsters aren’t stupid enough to believe anything that the Wicked Witch of the West tells them.

… Then again… There are a lot of gullible people out there that simply won’t ever get it.

  • menloman

Most union workers are in government jobs. The Democrats and Republican’s have together destroyed lots non-government union jobs.

  • Zeddly

Let’s try it and find out.

  • Zeddly

+100. Turn off the Democrats Free Shxt. And those jobs will get filled PDQ.

  • SonofaCV15

And it will take conservative labor to rebuild solid Constitutional foundations in this country. We have our work cut out for us.

  • me

I would bet that repairs to ‘infrastructure’ would take 1/3 the time without union labor as it would with union labor.

And be a lot less cheaper.

  • SonofaCV15

How many times do you think she will flip flop on that one?

  • tempo150101

The Teamsters and Carpenters unions both supported Reagan.

  • Teddi

Yeah, three recall elections by mentally disturbed union workers who at the end of the day voted 78% to not voluntarily have their dues deducted. They wanted to literally “kill” him, but in the end took their dues and kept them…

  • BalletSlipper

    So cool

  • Joe Sixpak

Unions are waking up to the fact that Illegal Aliens are taking their jobs…

  • psadie

I just finished reading “The Art of The Deal.” It is quintessential Trump. What happened in NYC with the Wollman Skating Rink was an absolute disgrace until The Donald offered to do it for FREE because he couldn’t stand the incompetence anymore! Trump is a businessman first and not a politician. He is not versed in being PC in his statements and that is why he connects with fed up Americans. The unions know that they will not get everything that they want and Trump is not about to give it to them for their support. I truly believe that he can handle being President with his no nonsense approach with common sense leading the way.

  • psadie

That is why Trump always came in on budget or under and on time or ahead of schedule. Go Trump!

  • Teddi

    Trump !
    Trump !!
    Trump !!!

  • tham

The unions may be waking up to the fact that bringing back manufacturing jobs is good for their members and having millions of illegals pouring across the border is not.

  • beachmike

Don’t worry, Barry’s Secret Service is more concerned with banging whores.

  • tham

Yes, and most of those are in SEIU, so traditional unions have been screwed by NAFTA and the globalists. Trump is a nationalistic.

  • tham

I also view it in that light.

  • tham

At least two major unions, including the Teamsters, endorsed Reagan. Sorry but you are wrong.

  • tham

I consider traditional unions as a completely different animal than public employee unions, which are truly a cancer. Who are the “bosses” of public service union members, duh, we are and we aren’t making a profit off their “labor”.

  • MrJackAmano

Go, Donald! Make America great again!

  • tham

My view is that Trump would also put into play states that have been fairly safe, at least recently, for the dems. Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, even places like New Jersey and California will be closer than in a long time. Hence, the dems will have to spend more money in places they have begun to take for granted. That is also a big strategic plus.

  • tham

Teamsters are far from communists Sean. You need to learn some history. They endorsed Reagan and without working class union dems crossing over for Reagan, his first term election would have been in doubt.

  • Bitter Clinger

Actually, they’re just waiting for Joe Plugs to jump in.

  • Woosh

I would not take your bet because I agree with you. But the reality is union labor will be employed if infrastructure is built. And even if not, for some reason, there is nothing wrong with putting it out there right now. Such a notion might garner a vote.

  • whoodoo

As long as Trump does not buy into the union’s attempt to blur the lines between private corporate and public-employee unions, and act as if they are the same thing with the same justifications and same issues, he’ll be alright. But they are completely different animals and the latter is one of the principle reasons that the politics of states and municipalities are being corrupted and driven into the fiscal ground. If he doesn’t make that distinction, and comes to an agreement with all unions in general, then he’s going to lose a large share of his loyal following. I’m a bit worried because Trump has never even alluded to that distinction in his statements and is given to making sweeping generalizations.

  • nightsong

Boehner is leaving the House. If Gov. Huckabee decides not to continue the run for presidency, he sure would make a great Speaker of the House, if he were interested.

  • Greg Watson

This is good news. Both parties have long endorsed trade deals unfavorable to the blue collar middle class. Good to see Trump making trade deals a main issue.

  • rs1123

After years of waiting for the Presidency which the polls told her (and us) was “in the bag”, Hillary’s candidacy is just about in the trash can. It is so sweet watching her dreams evaporate!

  • nightsong

He will probably be well informed on this before they meet up. You make a good point.

  • rs1123

The other day when it was announced that Boehner was resigning the applause from a conservative group was thunderous. I wish someone would kick him in the pants after he says his goodbye speech.

  • Self_Destruction

Just promise to fight to keep the jobs in the USA. I mean honestly. Cut back the H1-B Visa program. Tell Zuckers to suck the beef stick.

  • rs1123

Hillary has refused to let Bill lay any pipe for many years.

  • rs1123

Exactly. It’s a blatant conflict of interest from the word ‘go’.

  • rs1123

Take away much of their benefits for sitting on their lazy @sses and perhaps some of those Americans will become willing to do those jobs.

  • rs1123

One thing is sure, if illegals are doing the jobs, nobody else will have the chance.

  • rs1123

Looks like Trump is drawing 25% support from the blacks – a tremendous improvement over what GOP’s usually get from them. The Dems are in panic mode – the public is sick of politicians and that is all they have to offer.

  • hmph

And Trump saying NAFTA is a disaster

  • HARP2

    Not looking good for Hilly.

  • hmph

I live in a city with few illegals. We have actual citizens who are houskeepers, nursing home aides, landscapers, construction, restaurant workers and even the taxi drivers were born here. Legal immigrants are very welcome and appreciated and primarily highly educated especially in health care. What does the Democrat mayor say? Bring in more “diversity” especially Syrians.

  • Neverstop

Unions siding with the GOP??? That tells you much about big government Trump. Unions are anti-competition and are major impediments to growth and free markets.

  • Nobama

Reagan had a lot of democrats vote for him. That’s how he won 2 landslides. How is that a bad thing?

Just like with Reagan, the Teamsters recognize that Trump’s policies will help create more jobs. Trump also promises to deport many of the illegals, which will help open up more jobs for Americans.

  • GETBENDT

I still don’t trust the teamsters but hey, even the threat of pulling their support is a kick in the teeth to Clinton. The real funny thing is that they skipped Bernie “the kommunist kook” Sanders. Is he still running? I hear about this poll and that poll but he doesn’t stand a chance thank god!

  • B. Smith

The unions are just like the blacks, in that, the Dems completely take them for granted assumimg that they will always vote Democratic. This would be major coup for Trump…..to get the endorsement of AFL/CIO and 25% of the black vote. He would win in a major landslide. He could get 40 states.

  • zgli

Well maybe the folks don’t like that Hillary was broke in 2013 and now has $100m dollars due to her Wall Street and foreign govt corruption. Hillary should be in jail, she is the epitome of corruption. Bill Clinton should be in prison for child sexual abuse from his pervert Jeffrey Epsteins’s private island adventures with pre teen girls.

  • theantitoejam

There are a lot of union members in for a big surprise come 2018. That’s when the Obamacare tax kicks in on their health plans. Ouch!

  • KhadijahMuhammad

Actually, Milton Freidman and most libertarian/conservative economists do not consider them anti-competition. And certainly any libertarian/conservative believes that workers should have the right to organize if they wish.

What we reject is any government endorsement or laws that benefit or impede unions.

If the US unions would evolve to the German model (where the union has a seat on the board, unions tend to be non-combative, but work with the business to improve worker conditions within the fiscal abilities of the company whilst still being concerned with the health of the business, all would be good.

  • Buster000

    Right ;-}

  • Wendy

Wasn’t that just a mock-up on that stupid political show “The Dilettante or Daily Show”?

I’ve heard a few times from limited intelligence liberals that they have learned more about politics from the retarded Daily Show than they ever have from any other source.

  • Miller

Trump’s staggering achievements in his masterful campaign in just this short time is almost entirely by design. Trump’s campaign juggernaut is unstoppable on it’s way to victory. Winning the Presidency will be the Art of Trump’s biggest deal.

  • ISeeThruYou

I could never understand why any unions supported anyone who was for the illegal invasion. It’s obvious that bringing in hordes of workers who will work at a fraction of union wages will eventually destroy the unions. Looks like the Teamsters may be making the right choice in supporting Donald Trump…
    TRUMP 2016!!!!!!!

  • ISeeThruYou

It tells me the unions are finally waking up and smelling the Trump coffee. How could hordes of illegal invaders, who will work at a fraction of union wages, be good for union workers???
    TRUMP 2016!!!!!!!

unions stopped being the advocate of the person that did a good job and became the advocate of the bad worker about the time jimmy carter had forced union dues passed.

  • O’Brien’s Math Facts

I agree. I’m not bitter. I just literally don’t want to see that evil, hypocritical woman succeed.

  • O’Brien’s Math Facts

Sadly, I think he is more interested in securing delegates for Jeb than anything else. Huckabee talks a good talk, but he is corrupt at the core.

  • O’Brien’s Math Facts

At this point, if someone is actively campaigning against Trump, then you can feel pretty sure that they are in the Washington Cartel/Uniparty.

Unfortunately, that means that Rubio, Florina, Kasich, Paul, Christie, and other irrelevants like Jindal, are members of the same Washington Cartel/Uniparty.

These are the people that should be at the bottom of the list in terms of human morality. To sell out your own neighbors, your own state, your own COUNTRY, for the needs of a political party that doesn’t care at all about your NEIGHBOR, your STATE, or your COUNTRY, is the height or irresponsibility and should be judged harshly.

  • theslowrider

No f-ing way union leaders will support a conservative. The rank and file might, but not the useless leaders.

  • Whump

That would be so, so wrong if it was not for the fact that it is true.

  • that_won’t_fly

Trump for a transformation back to America

  • John Campbell

We shall see. I have no doubt there are some current Labor Board people that might be looking for a new job if a Trump administration comes to pass as some recent calls made by the labor board should never have been made, are corruption in favor of unions, and violate peoples rights. The courts are going to be busy. However, the unions stand to make out big with a Trump presidency for not only the jobs themselves, but also for the rest of Trump’s positions on a multitude of unrelated union member issues.

If one considers that Unions have never been in favor of NAFTA, GATT, Free Trade, illegal aliens, and such, it makes it very beneficial to hitch their wagon to the horse that’s looking to make some major changes in that department for the long term.

As for the rest, for starters there is the anti-gun agenda forever fronted by the left. When the Bill Clinton administration came up with the so called “assault rifle” ban the next following election saw the Democrats lose their seats en masse as a result. Union hierarchy supported the Democrats, but the rank and file said no at the ballot box. That was a major upset for the hierarchy and when it came to the likes of Dick Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO and a loudly self proclaimed socialist, the hard core left saw a real live mutiny take place.

Now you’re talking about Teamsters. I have no lost love on the Teamsters and as a 40 year trucker I’m proud to say I never joined a Union, especially the Teamsters, however, that is due to their violent history that I would not want my name associated with. The one thing though about the Teamsters is they do tend to be truckers and I would not want to be the fool that walked up to a Teamster trucker and called them a socialist to their face. Just not a healthy move. As such it is a high probability that they do not want to be associated with socialist traitors. We shall see though where they do finally land.

  • Sum Ting Wong

Wrong. You’ve obviously been drinking the Kool Aid Richy. All it will take is an abrupt end to the endless extensions of unemployment benefits to change that. Once the gravy train comes to an end, there will be plenty of American workers eager to do all those jobs. I’m curious … who do you think was doing those jobs BEFORE the invasion began?

  • John Campbell

Except they got exemptions from Obama for the unions.

  • John Campbell

Really? When was the last time the Teamsters supported NAFTA, GATT, free trade, illegal aliens, etc, ……etc, ……….?

  • Risingabovethemasses

I don’t trust Clintons and all of the Republicans with the exception of Trump because they have even gone as far as taking foreign campaign money and financing from countries like China.

Chinese businessman/multimillionaire with close ties to Clintons was recently arrested by the FBI for bringing in $4,500,000 in cash of foreign money to be used for campaign finance. This businessman also has close ties to the People’s Republic of China government.

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/fbi-arrests-chinese-millionaire-tied-clinton-scandal/story?id=33990683

I wonder who else is for sale in our government? No wonder our leadership doesn’t even bother fighting for our jobs.

By the way, in case someone out here accuses Trump’s followers for being ignorant, racist or uneducated… well…I’m a proud LEGAL U.S. Naturalized citizen with a post graduate level of education. I’m also proud for having learned English from scratch and for having assimilated into this amazing country and so is my entire LEGALLY naturalized U.S. Citizen family. Oh and no we were not rich when we came here. Everyone in my family came here with a suitcase and very little amount of money.

God bless this amazing country and please elect Trump.

  • That’s horsecrap. I work in the trades and from flatwork, (cement) to drywalling, to roofing illegals have inundated the trades and driven down wages. And what happens is once crews start going latin native born are pushed out becuase 1. If everyone is speaking spanish it’s difficult to communicate and coordinate and work with your team, 2. The lead guy becomes latin on a job the main boss only wants to know the job is getting done and without problems, that frees the lead guy to hire his crew, and he will always go with latin guys becuase he can pay them less and often pocket the difference himself and skim off the wages that are supposed to go to his crew. An American born here would not put up with a light paycheck. The latins look at it as the price to pay to break in to the trade and the lead guy got them the job so he’s like the patron. You just live with it. Besides working in the trades I know all this becuase I speak spanish, I’ve got latin family and I know legal and illegal immigrants.

Bad news for all of the government-class presidential candidates. The Teamsters leadership & its members know that Trump is a real “jobs creator” due to his unmatched business acumen in contrast to his competitors – including HP’a former CEO.

Better than nothing, I guess. I would rather hire 2,000,000 non-union Americans at $25 and hour than 1,000,000 union workers at $50.

“WE” won? No, tuffy, you union parasites won, and WE, the people of Ohio, lost big time. “Ohioans” didn’t collect any signatures … a bunch of greedy, self-serving union tools collected those signatures, and then used taxpayer money to flood the media with propaganda and screw the hard-working taxpayers of Ohio in that election. What Walker did, and what Kasich was proposing to do would have been good for this state, but what do you care? All you union scumbags care about is lining your own damn pockets. You should be ashamed of yourselves….

Your day will come though. You losers can’t keep sucking the rest of us dry forever.

  • Outraged

And you’re proud of that, are you? You union people are disgusting if you ask me. Not only are you too stupid to know what was good for the people of Ohio, you don’t even know how to spell the word ballot. Morons…

  • Sum Ting Wong

And how much you wanna bet the union trash will still find a way to blame “evil, rich Republicans” when it all comes crashing down around them? They have absolutely NO understanding of capitalism or basic economics …. all they know is that someone else has more money than they do, and like any parasite, they’re going to keep sucking their host dry until they kill it. They’re nothing but a bunch of greedy, self-serving morons … the epitome of what’s wrong with America today, and sadly, they’re so stupid that they actually think THEY’RE the righteous ones. That alone makes make me want to puke….

This truly is a year that is upside down for everyone.HRC thought crawling on the floor for Styers and his super pac wouldn’t cost her anything. What happens if the “all powerful” union (not-so-much anymore after Citizens United) decides to “unite” with Trump?Nowwwwwwwwwww, you’ve got Trump, the unions, and a myriad of other “democrat” groups siding with trump along with millions of “angry” GOP voters.Say buh-bye to HRC and probably Bush. . . . Although, I should say, Bush wants very, very similar things, but no one wants to trust an “open borders” person.Wake up GOP – this is what happens when you anger 72% of your base. The anger in the nation is reaching critical mass. . . .

  • No One Important

Teamsters don’t “lead” anything anymore. The unions have been losing power more and more over the years.Face it – they were head over heels with Obama, and he shafted them. Not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer, huh?Every time people are given a “choice” about being in a union or not, they choose “no.”Walker gave teachers a “choice” to be in a union and pay their outrageous dues, and more and more are dropping out.Indiana gave them a choice, and 95% of the teachers dropped out of the union. The unions will go for anyone who will protect their “Cadillac” insurance plans that they’ve extorted from companies. They don’t want “theirs” taxed like the rest of the nation.

Going a step further, they have destroyed American jobs. Look how many they have sent over seas and how many they destroyed using the EPA, one of BOs and Jarretts pride and joy. After the last election they swore to further destroy American industry with the EPA and look at our gas, coal and oil jobs and now they are attacking our water supplies.

  • glenn47

With the GOP attacking anyone they disagree with from their own party is a turn off. They will rue the day. Bush was their baby and it isn’t working.
They had better learn to circle the wagons and support who the people want, but those voting will have their fees paid by the GOP.

I believe Trump will be the best job creator ever! So I urge all my union brothers and sisters to vote for him.

  • Duard

This has been bubbling under the MSM radar ever since Trump announced. It is due in great part to the trade union rank and file, particularly in the construction/electrician segment of the labor unions in the midwest. I’m talking Cleveland, for one. Cleveland! Cleveland has been solidly democrat for decades, despite the presence of many decent, hardworking people.
A Teamsters endorsement would be great for Trump. A secondary reason to applaud this: can you IMAGINE the MSM swallowing its collective tongue over this?

  • Shrugged

Unions have finally gained some rational thought. They have figured out there is no more “free” blood to be squeezed from the corporate stone – at least from the few companies that remain to provide jobs here. They have realized the only way to maintaining themselves is through a PRO-Capitalist leader who knows how to grow business and profit that can be shared. It’s not perfect, but the Dems have done nothing for the unions (except big empty words) for 30 years except watch them shrink in size and significance.

Then do it for “free”. . all volunteer – tell the big wigs collecting 500,000 pensions at the top to give up the money. . . .and do it all volunteer work. Now that some companies are hiking “minimum” wage, people are upset, they’re going to lose government bennies, so they’re asking to remain at their current levels to keep the generous government bennies. And since when does an entry level job someone sat at for 30 years become a 54.00/hour job with gold plated bennies. Why? Because someone sat there and didn’t barf on their shoes?

  • glamdeluxe

    And that Newt guy too.

  • No One Important

They’re extortionists. They keep demanding a bigger and bigger piece of an ever shrinking pie. They demand massive pay levels for low level jobs, then wouldn’t accept “stock options” of some car makers. So, they want massive amounts of money – and not any of the “risk” of the company they demand so much from.Good riddance to unions. . .The job growth has been in “right to work” states. . .

  • No One Important

Rank and file is tired of the flatulent leadership endorsing candidates that they don’t.Can you imagine watching a party that your union endorsed protect illegal people who are taking your jobs? The construction industry jobs (trades) have been devastated by the influx of illegal individuals. (I’m not just talking Hispanics. Illegal polish immigrants are a huge problem in Illinois trades.)The job growth is going to “right to work” states. . . .the “union” states are hemorrhaging jobs across the board.

  • Shrugged

You are accurately telling the history of unions so I can’t disagree – which is why I am saying there are lots of reasons to throw this model out. This is why companies left the north for non-union southern states in the 80’s and 90’s and then left the USA for distant lands thereafter so they could offset their ridiculous contract-based high cost structure due partly to unions.

It is possible to build a new model here that could be more productive because – frankly – CEOs and Boards of Directors need some control as well. CEO salaries and golden parachutes are beyond ridiculous. The design failures in the auto industry (domestic and foreign) have caused thousands of deaths – and I believe the flaws were known by their senior leaders and ignored. Also, the blind pursuit of share value was partly responsible. A balanced power and decision structure is needed: Shareholder investors, Executives and Skilled workers.

Some unions are much more rational than others. I would vote to obliterate the NEA and SEIU if possible. They have participated in election fraud for decades. But, groups like the machinists are smart and hard-working trade professionals.

  • No One Important

Some car makers offered unions “stock options” in their retirement funds . . . .in other words, you take as much risk as everyone else since you demand so much. They refused. So they want to kill the goose that lays the gold, and then scream about someone saving it.Move it all to stock options – that way, the “employees” have a vested interest in what they’re doing to a company. You kill it? You kill your retirement fund. . . .When it’s their own money on the line – they’ll be a lot more “realistic” about what they demand.

  • No One Important

Btw, CEOs and boards are accountable to the shareholders. If the shareholders don’t like the packages -they can file a class action against the board. If the employees are stock holders, they can be a large force also.Unions have to stop thinking that they can demand massive amounts of money for menial work. The job isn’t more valuable because you sat there for 30 years. If I can grab anyone off a street corner, and within 2 hours train them to do your job – it’s an entry level job. Period.

We can only hope. Even the Liberals’ saint, FDR, understood that you cannot have “government” unions. There is no competition, there isn’t a way to pare down a group that votes itself money from the government. The government “unions” are parasites that have infested the government to the point Americans can’t afford them anymore.Lois Lerner – prime example. Why was she allowed to retire.I want to know why anyone in the government receives a “bonus.”Why? Did they compete in a private market? Did they “win” a contract? Why is anyone in the government flying around for “symposiums” or conferences? Have they heard of Web-X?

  • notoriousBLOG

Political correctness has been the ruin of the Republican Party. The liberals have used it masterfully against anyone who would dare to disagree with them, and now the Republicans are terrified of anyone accusing them of being racist, anti gay, anti Hispanic, anti Muslim, or fill in the blank. Trump is what the people wanted and when they want it, someone who is not afraid to speak whether it offends you or not, he will say what is on his mind. Now we just have to wait and see if people tire of his brashness.

  • Shrugged

    Two points:
    1) No they can’t file a class action suit if they “don’t like the packages”. A suit can only be filed if civil or criminal law is alleged to have been broken. The shareholder voting process for CEO packages is honest and straight-forward – but is controlled by those who own the most share-votes.
    2) Job accountability and performance measurement is needed at all levels. CEOs get booted the first time they miss a quarter’s sales targets. Not so for union employees. No union member deserves more pay than the job returns the company is value.

  • JoeKirkup

I agree Teddi, government workers have their elected representatives, they don’t need another layer of reps that the rest of us don’t have.

  • Shrugged

    Again, I agree.
Every player who gets a paycheck should also own that proportion of risk. Low pay – low risk and low input. High pay – high risk (NO golden parachute) with high levels of input to running the company.

Not a paid troll not sure what that is, we employ 46 people we cover the health care cost and pay them 20 -27 an hour and I can see the young guys struggle to raise their children and buy their first homes and make ends meet , I don’t know what the answer is but things are not working well as they are the rich just become super rich ?

  • No One Important

Actually, yes they can if there was “malfeasance”. . .Companies are giving earnings “warnings” now because they were sued for “not” divulging problems. If employees had just stock option plans – along with other market shares, this could create a powerful group of “shareholders” to hold them accountable. It’s time for unions to become “accountable” for what they do to companies.Take company stock then – and share the “risk” of what they do to a company. . . .

  • JoeKirkup

If businesses and industry are brought back to America, it would be good for the unions. Especially if most of the illegals (with no education) will be looking for blue collar jobs and most-likely want to join a Union for protection……much like it was back in the 50s and 60s.

First off, unions don’t protect anyone but themselves. I watched a union accept massive layoffs of lower rung/new people to preserve a 3% raise for themselves.Second – they have millions of “illegals” right now, and they’re not unionizing. They’re putting “union” construction workers out of work. Nothing would change.Third – the job growth is in “right to work” states – the jobs are fleeing “unionized” states. (Just look at the job losses for Illinois, month after month). . .If the jobs come back – I hope unions are given the shaft and told to take a hike.More jobs creates competition to get/keep good workers at higher wages. Not unions.

  • angrybeyondreason

Ya know, I posted something along those same lines on another thread yesterday, but I was really only joking about Cruz being on the SCOTUS. Not that I don’t think that Cruz would be an excellent judge; I think Cruz would be terrific, but my concern is that locking him into a lifetime appointment might not be the best use of his talents. We have so many problems that need to be addressed, and I’m just concerned that him being on the court might limit him in many respects.

That said, I’m really torn….because if Cruz was nominated to the SCOTUS, I have to say that watching the liberal heads explode as they go into apoplectic seizures, would almost be worth it for that reason alone.

They should just support trump because he wants to put people to work again.Trump is a mega real estate person who has casinos. When Americans have vacation money to spend/gamble, it’s good for him. When people don’t have any money, he doesn’t prosper.I think it’s great that we could have a president who has a vested interest in the well being of the nation. . . .”Government” people/politicians only have one interest – government/power.And they’re all so corrupt, we just can’t trust them anymore.

  • angrybeyondreason

You are expecting them to be good, when they are evil.

  • Diggur

I, too, live in an area with very few illegals. Citizens are doing the jobs that you mentioned. I moved here from my beautiful home state of California after illegal had destroyed the state. Additionally, why doesn’t anyone ever point out that the jobs that are being done by many of the illegals are under the table, so they don’t pay any taxes? Then they send their money back to their home countries. Ending illegal immigration will increase the tax base as well as providing jobs for legal citizens.

  • Michael00001111

I’m a card carrying Union hard-hat (ret). We aren’t stupid. Stupid people don’t build power plants and skyscrapers. MANY of us know our top “leadership” is “lacking” – just as many Conservatives know the GOP leadership is lacking. MANY of us know the left wants our money and our votes yet devalues our labor by flooding us with low skilled illegal aliens! I had this same conversation over lunch with Representative Wenstrup recently. Many of us are Vets (not me) gun owners, work dmnd hard for a living! We educate our people in the best schools available. Ours! We do not want to feed layabouts. We do not want to be layabouts. We want to be able to support ourselves and our families with pride and pay check. Once again Trump shows how he is so much smarter than the average politician. Skilled labor isn’t cheap, Cheap labor isn’t skilled!
    GO TRUMP 2016!

  • V.Lombardi

  • DoubleD2015

by COPAcetic1: here, in no particular order, is an overview of many of Trumps positions and plans:

1.) Trump believes that America should not intervene militarily in other country’s problems without being compensated for doing so. If America is going to risk the lives of our soldiers and incur the expense of going to war, then the nations we help must be willing to pay for our help. Using the Iraq War as an example, he cites the huge monetary expense to American taxpayers (over $1.5 trillion, and possibly much more depending on what sources are used to determine the cost) in addition to the cost in human life. He suggests that Iraq should have been required to give us enough of their oil to pay for the expenses we incurred. He includes in those expenses the medical costs for our military and $5 million for each family that lost a loved one in the war and $2 million for each family of soldiers who received severe injuries.

2.) Speaking of the military, Trump wants America to have a strong military again. He believes the single most important function of the federal government is national defense. He has said he wants to find the General Patton or General MacArthur that could lead our military buildup back to the strength it needs to be. While he hasn’t said it directly that I know of, Trump’s attitude about America and about winning tells me he’d most likely be quick to eliminate rules of engagement that handicap our military in battle. Clearly Trump is a “win at all costs” kind of guy, and I’m sure that would apply to our national defense and security, too.

3.) Trump wants a strong foreign policy and believes that it must include 7 core principles (which seem to support my comment in the last point):

    • American interests come first. Always. No apologies.

    • Maximum firepower and military preparedness.

    • Only go to war to win.

    • Stay loyal to your friends and suspicious of your enemies.

    • Keep the technological sword razor sharp.

    • See the unseen. Prepare for threats before they materialize.

    • Respect and support our present and past warriors.

4.) Trump believes that terrorists who are captured should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals like the Obama administration treats them.

5.) Trump makes the point that China’s manipulation of their currency has given them unfair advantage in our trade dealings with them. He says we must tax their imports to offset their currency manipulation, which will cause American companies to be competitive again and drive manufacturing back to America and create jobs here. Although he sees China as the biggest offender, he believes that America should protect itself from all foreign efforts to take our jobs and manufacturing. For example, Ford is building a plant in Mexico and Trump suggests that every part or vehicle Ford makes in Mexico be taxed 35% if they want to bring it into the U. S., which would cause companies like Ford to no longer be competitive using their Mexican operations and move manufacturing back to the U. S., once again creating jobs here.

6.) Trump wants passage of NOPEC legislation (No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act – NOPEC – S.394), which would allow the government to sue OPEC for violating antitrust laws. According to Trump, that would break up the cartel. He also wants to unleash our energy companies to drill domestically (sound like Sarah Palin’s drill baby, drill?) thereby increasing domestic production creating jobs and driving domestic costs of oil and gas down while reducing dependence on foreign oil.

7.) Trump believes a secure border is critical for both security and prosperity in America. He wants to build a wall to stop illegals from entering and put controls on immigration. (And he says he’ll get Mexico to pay for the wall, which many have scoffed at, but given his business successes I wouldn’t put it past him.) He also wants to enforce our immigration laws and provide no path to citizenship for illegals.

Trump believes: A nation without borders is not a nation. A nation that does not serve its own citizens interest first is not a nation. Trump will triple the number of ICE officers, nationwide e-verify, defund federal monry to sanctuary cities, enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa, put American workers first, end welfare abuse. Trump believes in immigration moderation. “Before any new green cards are issued to foreign workers abroad, there will be a pause where employers will have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed immigrant and native workers. Too many visas, like the H-1B, have no such requirement.”

8.) Trump wants a radical change to the tax system to not only make it better for average Americans, but also to encourage businesses to stay here and foreign businesses to move here. The resulting influx of money to our nation would do wonders for our economy. He wants to make America the place to do business. “A one-time deemed repatriation of corporate cash held overseas at a significantly discounted 10% tax rate. Since we are making America’s corporate tax rate globally competitive, it is only fair that corporations help make that move fiscally responsible. U.S.-owned corporations have as much as $2.5 trillion in cash sitting overseas.”

Trump also wants to eliminate the death tax and lower corporate taxes to 15%. “This lower tax rate cannot be for big business alone; it needs to help the small businesses that are the true engine of our economy. Right now, freelancers, sole proprietors, unincorporated small businesses and pass-through entities are taxed at the high personal income tax rates. This treatment stifles small businesses. It also stifles tax reform because efforts to reduce loopholes and deductions available to the very rich and special interests end up hitting small businesses and job creators as well. The Trump plan addresses this challenge head on with a new business income tax rate within the personal income tax code that matches the 15% corporate tax rate to help these businesses, entrepreneurs and freelancers grow and prosper.” And for citizens he has a tax plan that would allow Americans to keep more of what they earn and spark economic growth. He wants to change the personal income tax to:

    IncTax_divdRate__Single Filers___Married Filers___Heads of Household
    _0%____0%____$0-$25,000_______$0-$50,000________$0 to $37,500
    _10%___0%____$25,001-$50,000___$50,001-$100,000__$37,501-$75,000
    _20%___15%___$50,001-$150,000__$100,001-$300,000_$75,001-$225,000
    _25%___20%___$150,001 & up_____$300,001 & up_____$225,001 & up

9.) Trump wants Obamacare repealed. He says it’s a “job-killing, health care-destroying monstrosity” that “can’t be reformed, salvaged, or fixed.” He believes in allowing real competition in the health insurance marketplace to allow competition to drive prices down. He also believes in tort reform to get rid of defensive medicine and lower costs.

10.) Trump wants spending reforms in Washington, acknowledging that America spends far more than it receives in revenue. He has said he believes that if we don’t stop increasing the national debt once it hits $24 trillion it will be impossible to save this country.

11.) Even though he says we need to cut spending, he does not want to harm those on Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security. He believes that the citizens have faithfully paid in to the system to have these services available and that the American government has an obligation to fulfill its end of the bargain and provide those benefits. Therefore, he wants to build the economy up so that we have the revenue to pay those costs without cutting the benefits to the recipients. He disagrees with Democrats who think raising taxes is the answer and says that when you do that you stifle the economy. On the other hand, when you lower taxes and create an environment to help businesses they will grow, hire more workers, and those new workers will be paying taxes that become more tax revenue for the government.

12.) Trump also wants reform of the welfare state saying that America needs “a safety net, not a hammock.” He believes in a welfare to work program that would help reduce the welfare rolls and encourage people to get back to work. And he wants a crackdown on entitlement fraud.

13.) Trump believes climate change is a hoax.

    14.) Trump opposes Common Core.

15.) Trump is pro-life, although he allows for an exception due to rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

16.) Trump is pro 2nd Amendment rights.

17.) Trump’s view on same-sex marriage is that marriage is between a man and a woman, but he also believes that this is a state’s rights issue, not a federal issue.

  • Charles Harris

Now is not the time to make general observations re: whom Trump should or should not meet with. There are enough union votes to swing the election and most union members are good, hard working Americans that have been removed from the middle class by the disruptive decisions of the socialist FED and congresses that have spent the country into bankruptcy.
Nixon won the support of Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters. But, before anyone begins to discuss the morals of Jimmy Hoffa, I would offer that he was a better American than the leadership in this country, including both parties. I respect the great majority of union members much more than I do the pin-heads that have been making such disastrous decisions over the past several years.
Now is the time to pull out all the stops to place some Real Americans in our government.

Incidentally, I am a retired businessman who, also, spent 30 years as a union member. I claim to know that of which I speak.

When Al Gore was running, the unions didn’t want to support him because of the things he said about automobiles. The endorsed him anyway. I’ve been a union member for 32 years, I know how they persuade members to vote. Believe me they are all over politics. In these times they WON’T endorse a Republican.
