Trump is like Christie, he’s a bag of wind who doesn’t sell west of the New Jersey. Here are some of donations Trump has made in the past.

$20,350 to Charles Rangel, the Harlem-based Congressman
    $9,900 to Chuck Schumer
    $9,400 to Harry Reid
$9,000 to various Kennedys, mainly Ted.
    $5,500 to John Kerry

$13,200 to John McCain (excluding any McCain affiliated PACs)
$8,300 Arlen Specter, former Republican Senator who eventually turned Democratic to salvage his career.
$9,500 to Mark Foley, the disgraced former Florida politician
$8,250 to south Jersey Congressman Frank LoBiondo
$6,500 to Sue Kelly, a former congressperson from upstate New York.

$4,800 went to Charlie Crist, the former Florida governor who ran for Senate as an independent.

The Republican field is like a clown car, with the Democrat field being just one clown. I do not see Trump as serious, but he can be the bully and ask why Hillary is not in jail, while the more serious candidates will walk on eggshells, so as not to offend the media.

Trump is a business man – those donations are smart business decisions, especially in regard to New York. You may not like it, and I might not approve, but its smart business.

  • Teddi

Trump would be the best person to cut gov’t and put his foot down on the immigration issue. Not sure about his foreign policy positions, but he would at least want to deal from a position of strength, not weakness like numb nuts Obama.

92 points is no big deal anymore and the rise had no more to do with Trump’s announcement than with my decision to have a cup of coffee, which happened at the same time.

  • Nanda

Uh huh? And we’ll also need a Senate that will confirm them. Good luck with that, Billy.

Whodathunkit? The Stock Market (which is really just a huge slot machine on hgh and steroids) responds positively when a casino “m0gul” declares his candidacy!
truly “unexpected” and a real “shocker”.
Supposedly, folks decry the “hedge fund” guys and the banksters, yet so many hand over their money for the promise of “returns” on their “investments”. Yeah, keep pulling that slot machine lever you unthinking fools, and the jesters will continue to love it when you decry them, as they laugh all the way to that bankster with profits you COULD have kept for yourself.
End your GAMBLING addiction to the Casino called the Stock Market. Build your OWN wealth instead of enriching the liars and thieves of Wall Street. Give your wealth to your kids instead of to strangers you will never meet.
    Pray Americans Awaken.

Open your eyes, friend. Ginsburg is a short timer. Even if Dems manage to regain the Senate, they will not dare leave open that Ginsburg spot on departure. They would argue for as liberal a justice as possible, but anything besides a Thomas would serve liberalism better than a loss of Ginsburg altogether. They wouldn’t dare filibuster entirely to leave a term sentenced to 4-4 votes. All it would take is cases where a recusal is all but required and they would lose decades of liberal “work”. They would not risk it.
Now, do I want trump making that decision? No, I don’t. Anyone supporting Kelo has no business nominating judges. Period.

And that’s a good reason to oppose him, but looking at the new Illinois governor as a example, it is a winning strategy. It was for Bloomy as well.
I do see Trump as a good VP though. With Rand Paul in the treasury spot, Walker as head of health and human services, Sarah Palin as sec of energy and few retired generals and admirals running the defense department, Trump could be the bully in the pulpit, while President Cruz emulates a Ronald Reagan type oval office endeavor. Throw in Gowdy as AG, and there is a possibility of transforming America back to the fundamental position of Constitutional governance. Let the slashing of nonsense and unconstitutional “gubmint” begin.

Let’s look at it this way, we have had MORE than our fill of lawyers and career politicians filling the seat of the highest office of the country and what has it gotten us? Deeper and deeper in debt, alienated from our allies, more bureaucracy and red tape to do the simplest things, hidden agendas from ALL of the ABC agencies, Czars, open borders, ever increasing encroachments on our Constitutional Rights, and we’re on the brink of another Revolutionary War with our own government. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, it IS time we put a BUSINESS man in that seat and see if that will turn this country around.

If this country were run like a “business” with our Constitution acting as the “policy” of that “business”, we might actually return to the type of Republic that was originally created by our Founding Fathers. SUCCESSFUL business men and women know how to deal with both foreign dignitaries as well as domestic ones, sometimes better than all those lawyers that we have been putting in office. They deal with foreign companies, currencies, laws, customs, and ideas more often than your average “community organizer” fresh out of the Senate. They are accustomed to putting excellent advisers on their staff to delegate to. People they can TRUST to KNOW what is good for their “company”, not just for themselves. They know how to fire people when it needs to be done (especially Trump. lol).

Now I am NOT saying Trump is the right person for the job of President of the USA. Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t, it is too soon for me to tell personally. I AM saying we need to think about someone with his credentials though. We NEED a change in the TYPE of person we hire for the job. We need to RAISE our standards, they are set WAY to LOW right now.

  • No Hillary

Trump who can come off arrogant, brash, and condescending, is actually the type of personality we need for POTUS. I will take a proven wealthy businessman who takes no BS, versus a community organizer with no real world experience who only has BS.

  • Nanda

That’s a mighty big if there, Mikey. Scalia is getting old, too, and yes, the Dems will filibuster. And with Roberts moving left, an awful lot of damage will be done before the next president is sworn in.

  • No Hillary

I can for the most part agree with what you say. However I do feel Scott Walker is equally able to be POTUS. This is where a good primary and primary debate will decide who is best.

  • Mad Hatter

When someone donates money to the likes of Harry Reid, John Kerry, and Chuck Schumer, it’s a bad business decision.

  • Ken Tularockstar

Correction! The DemoRAT field is not just filled with clowns, but Marxist clowns! And, these clowns are more dangerous to our country than any inept GOP candidate. DemoRATS cannot be trusted, as most of them have embraced Socialism, Fascism, Marxism and Communism. We also have a cowardice GOP Congress that is nothing more than a caricature of its old self.

  • toad

I think he’d be the best president since Ronald Reagan.
