It has been several days and still there is no statement from President Barack Obama about the Islamist terror attack in Garland, Texas Sunday evening.

Two Muslim men, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, who were wielding rifles were killed by police after they opened fire outside a ‘Draw Muhammad’ event hosted by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of the America Freedom Defense Initiative. One security guard was wounded by the attackers. No one else was hurt.

A check of news reports and the White House website shows no statement either verbal or written by Obama on the attack.

Obama’s silence was noted by Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr., on Tuesday:

“POTUS was too busy raking the American Police Officer over the coals again to Al Jazeera yesterday to address the terror incident in Texas.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on Obama’s silence on the attack in articles published Sunday night and Monday afternoon.

Obama posted a statement to Facebook Tuesday on the death of David Goldberg, the husband of Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg, demonstrating that when sufficiently moved, Obama can speak out on a matter he cares about.

“David Goldberg embodied the definition of a real leader – someone who was always looking for ways to empower others. He was generous and kind with everybody, and cared less about the limelight than making sure that the people he worked with and loved succeeded in whatever they did. His skills as an entrepreneur created opportunity for many; his love for his family was a joy to behold, and his example as a husband and father was something we could all learn from. We’re heartbroken by him leaving us far too soon – but we celebrate a remarkable legacy. –bo”

Obama has left it to Press Secretary Josh Earnest to speak on the terror attack in Texas on his behalf. Earnest was questioned by the press on Monday and Tuesday about the attack.

As reported by the Blaze, in Tuesday’s briefing Earnest called the terrorist attack “an attempted terrorist attack” showing the administration acknowledges what happened on Sunday to indeed be a terrorist attack; thus making the lack of a statement by Obama even more of an affront to the victims.

““The thing that we can say definitively is that because of the quick and professional and brave work of local law enforcement officers, an attempted terrorist attack was foiled. That certainly was a testament to the courage and the professionalism of those public servants who were there to keep the peace,” Earnest said.”

There was no statement from the White House Sunday night saying the president was informed of the attack.

There was no statement or comments by Obama on Monday about the attack, even though he made numerous public appearances in New York City including a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman.

There was no statement or comments by Obama on Tuesday about the attack.

Is it because conservatives were attacked that Obama has yet to personally speak out about the attacks?

It’s starting to look that way.
