Obama: I’ll Send in Ground Troops Only If ISIS Gets a Nuke (Video)

At least 5,000 chemical warheads were discovered in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom after the US invasion in 2003.

Many of the munitions were discovered at the Al Muthanna compound which is now held by ISIS.

In July ISIS looted Iraq’s largest chemical weapons plant in al Muthanna.

Obama told reporters in Australia he will send ground troops to fight ISIS but only if they get nukes.

“There are always circumstances in which the United States might need to deploy US ground troops. If we discovered that ISIL had gotten possession of a nuclear weapon, and we had to run an operation to get it out of their hands, then yes, you can anticipate that not only would Chairman Dempsey recommend me sending U.S. ground troops to get that weapon out of their hands, but I would order it.

Obama doubled the number of US troops in Iraq last week. There are now 3,000 US troops stationed in Iraq.

Obama withdrew all US troops from Iraq back in 2011.
It ranks up there as one of his worst mistakes.
