Top Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Maryland) admitted during a House hearing today that the IRS inappropriately and possibly illegally targeted conservative groups during the 2012 election.
Not one Tea Party group was granted tax exempt status for a period of 27 months before the election while numerous progressive groups were granted the privilege by the IRS.
