On November 1, 2012, Alaan TV, a UAE channel, revealed that letters found inside the Benghazi consulate, and written by the U.S. Consular staff, had requested special security arrangements at the Benghazi consulate – but they were turned down.

“The Letters Revealed That Since September 9, The Americans Had Been Requesting Special Security Arrangements In Preparation For Arrival Of Ambassador Chris Stevens” – But That These “Were Not Granted”

Reporter: “The letters revealed that since September 9, the Americans had been requesting special security arrangements, in preparation for the arrival of Ambassador Chris Stephens to Benghazi. These arrangements included the police guarding the front and rear gates of the consulate around the clock, in addition to a mobile patrol and a bomb-sniffing dog.

Today, General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the State Department never requested “support” in Benghazi.

That’s what happens when republicans cut funding for security.

It is surprisingly difficult to find people who will do it for free.

  2. Well, Obama did say that Americans will have to make some sacrifices…

  3. Why would he need a “request” to respond?

Oh, I see, the Kommiecrats have selected this general…

  4. Suggestion for a cartoon—-based on today’s hearings-
2 empty chairs with telephones ringing—-one empty chair for o-bow-mao and the second one for hilary—–neither one could take a Benghazi call !!!!!!

  5. What difference does it make? Hillary is stepping as SOS real soon now.

  6. #1…another lie from jharpy, the state dept has enough money to buy millions of dollars worth of art each year. we all know that is more important then security.

why would it take more money to deploy existing security forces. you’re as honest as you two heros hillary and obama.

  7. You know, jharp, little Barry will never become a man if you won’t let go go his hand and stop coddling him.

    Great idea!

The last empty chair skit worked out so well for republicans.

Why not remind everyone of it?

Got it. Obama blew the money for security on art because he doesn’t care about our diplomats getting killed.

And you wonder why everyone is laughing at you conservatives? And abandoning the party in droves?

    Good grief

  10. What was that these people were saying about giving up guns because father Obama will protect us?

He won’t even lift a finger to protect his own ambassador.

  11. Obama said he gave the orders to send all assets needed and help needed to Benghazi. Now the SoD and a high ranking military man say there was no contact between the DOD and the WH?

Who did Obama give that order too then and where is it? Was it verbal?

How can TWO people now dispute Obama’s comments and what will be done about it?

That is a flat out LIE and the testimony in congress by a State Dept wonk says it is a lie. She was asked point blank if there were any funding issues and she replied “NO”.

Without lies you people got nothing.

  13. “That’s what happens when republicans cut funding for security.”

Hey, Jharp, You may be an A**hole for hire; but if that is the best you can do or you think that is funny, Soros really should ditch you.

Hillary, blew it when she ranted “What difference does it make?” Maybe she should have said: “That’s what happens when republicans cut funding for security.” Yeah, that would have put the investigating committee in their place. Kinda sums up Liberals’ sense of priorities and responsibility.

  14. For the LYING jharp!

“It’s difficult to tell how much was specifically allocated for Benghazi. Tripoli was the only post mentioned in the department’s fiscal 2013 request — funding for that location did slip, from $11.5 million in fiscal 2011 to $10.1 million the following year.

Slightly more has been requested for fiscal 2013.

Still, then-Deputy Assistant Secretary for Diplomatic Security Charlene Lamb testified in October that the size of the attack — and not the money — was the issue.

Asked if there was any budget consideration that led her not to increase the security force, she said: “No.”

She added: “This was an unprecedented attack in size.” Asked again about budget issues, Lamb said: “Sir, if it’s a volatile situation, we will move assets to cover that.”

So then. Please share what difference it makes whether it was a riot turned into an attack or some guys simply decided to attack.

At this point, “what difference does it make?”

This ought to be good. And Hillary made McCain, Johnson, and Paul look stupid.

    Fox News? Seriously?

You still have a ways to go til you hit bottom. Please pass the popcorn so I can enjoy watching you self destruct.

  20. does this mean that no one in bengazi asked for help after they were attacked that night?

#18…you are he one that said the attack happened and the people were killed because the republicans cut spending for the state dept. they cut spending for the state dept not security, it security was cut that was the state dept’s choice. they could’ve used the money that they spend on art for security instead, even you admit security is more important then art.

and as for obama caring about the lives of the people in benghazi, after learning of the attack he went to bed and nobody heard from him for the rest of the night.
