The 15 year-old boy was leaving the lot when he was fired on. (KOMO)

A 15-year-old boy was injured following a shooting and hit and run outside the Food and Drug Administration offices in Bothell this morning. The security guard shot at a vehicle that was leaving the scene.
Q13 FOX reported:

Shortly after 7 a.m. Friday police responded to calls that shots had been fired and there was a suspicious person and vehicle in a business complex that houses the local Food & Drug Administration office.

When police arrived they found a 15-year-old boy in a vehicle. He fled the scene after the shots were fired and as he was fleeing, he struck another vehicle. The boy reportedly went home and then was taken to the hospital. Police said that the shot was fired at the teenager, but they are unsure if he was being treated for a gunshot wound or injuries from the hit-and-run. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Homeland Security is involved in the investigation of the incident because it took place at the FDA office; the FBI also responded to the scene.

It’s a good thing Obama didn’t have any drones in the air, huh?

  1. The security guard shot at a car that was LEAVING the scene.

    Something like this. . .
    http://www.rrstar.com/blogs/kevinhaas/x711916949/Utah-man-arrested-for-shooting-at-burglar

    it’s called ‘reckless endangerment’.

  2. ‘Im from the government and I’m here to help, now hand over your weapons, only we’re allowed to have weapons.’

    -The Feds.

  3. This is one of the worst jobs of reporting I’ve read today.

  4. Was the kid driving a blue Nissan Titan?

  5. Ah ha! The Seattle Times link explains it: Kids smoking cigarettes near the FDA building

“A witness told KING-TV about 15 kids from a nearby high school were smoking cigarettes near the building. The witness heard two gunshots and the kids ducked for cover and scattered. A slow-moving vehicle then left the scene.”

Irony, kids have to leave campus to smoke a cigarette, government security officer shoots at one or more of them, school goes on lockdown.

  6. Stories have floating around about the military asking recruits and officers if they would be willing to shoot Americans if ordered.

This story is just another brick in the wall that says that fedgov will have no problem in getting henchmen who will more than willing to just follow orders. The Nazis had no problem getting capos, including Jewish ones, who were willing to push everyone into the boxcars.

  7. #6,
Don’t underestimate your fellow “citizens” far too many of whom will be willing to do that which pleases their masters,

  8. He shot at the boy as he was leaving……unarmed……… What grounds does he have for shooting a fleeing suspect who is unarmed??

  9. I don’t know what offends me more, the shooting or the smoking! It’s a liberal quandry!!!

  10. It’s a good thing Obama didn’t have any drones in the air, huh?

    Give ‘em time.

  11. You’re going to condemn the guard (who worked for a private security
company, not the government) without having any idea what took place?

Would you feel any better the kid was black, and wearing a hoodie?

  12. “This is one of the worst jobs of reporting I’ve read today.”

    Agreed, Sasja. It’s incoherent.

  13. UDell you ignorant slut. You are obviously a liberal and you should just go away.

  14. There’s too much missing from this story. I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but… i’m sure a 32 oz. soda in a stryfoam cup was involved.

UDell, what are you on? Let’s find out what happened…

Private security? Last I checked, the FDA got some of our good old American tax dollars.

  15. This is one of the worst jobs of reporting I’ve read today.

What do you expect. It’s FOX.

Here’s what the “uber-liberal” Seattle Times had to say:
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the foot after the car he was driving struck a security guard at a Food and Drug Administration lab in Bothell Friday morning, according to police.

The boy was treated at a Kirkland hospital and is being questioned by police.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, at around 7 a.m., a private security guard contracted with the federal government to provide protection to the FDA lab, 22215 26th Ave. S.E., approached a suspicious person in the parking lot. The person fled on foot, then returned a short time later and got into a vehicle parked at the facility.

As the guards approached the vehicle, the suspect backed out and the vehicle struck one of the guards, the Sheriff’s Office said. The guards fired at the vehicle.

  16. “UDell, what are you on? Let’s find out what happened…”

I’m on the internet, reading the news.

This poor 15 year old has been charged with 2nd degree assault, and has been booked
    into a juvenille detention center.

He was shot at after he hit the security guard with his car while trying to
    flee the parking lot.

    http://blogs.seattletimes.com/today/2013/02/king5-police-homeland-security-respond-to-fda-office-in-bothell/

Yes…private security guard. It’s a small FDA office in a Research & Technology park near Seattle, not the Pentagon.

  17. He’s probably also in some trouble for the hit & run he was involved in a couple miles away
    from the parking lot incident.

  18. What do you expect? It’s uber liberal Seattle.

    There. FIFY.

Try to get it right next time. (Yes, I believe in miracles.)

  19. TESTING
