It Begins. Ohio Man Arrested for Posting Photo of His Baby & BB Gun on Facebook

It’s an Obama world.
An Ohio man was arrested for posting a photo of himself and his daughter with a BB gun on Facebook.
WCPO reported:

FOX 19 has more:

Police have arrested a Colerain man after he posted a photo of himself on Facebook holding his 1-year-old daughter and a BB gun.

Domonic Gaines, 22, was arrested after the incident which occurred at his home on Suliner Drive Sunday.

According to reports, police initially believed that Gaines was holding a handgun in the photo. However, police say the gun in question turned out to be a BB gun.

The photo depicted Gaines holding his daughter, Paradise Gaines, along with the BB gun. Police say that the close proximity of the gun to the child created a substantial risk of physical harm.

Police say they found the BB gun at the residence after the arrest was made.

“It’s really been blown out of proportion,” said Gaines’ father, Wilson Dykes.

Dykes claims that it was the baby’s maternal grandmother who saw the photo and called the police.

This is a warning.
It is part of the left’s war on American gun owners.

time to throw police into jail. common sense be damned. And the media celebrates the palestinian mini terrorists marching with real assault rifles.

30-year-old Daniel Garrett, of Albertville, Alabama was at work at Extreme Concepts, a car stereo company, when he and another man decided to play quick draw with their guns.

If it was pointed at the child’s head, then that was bad, and the arrest was good. If it was a “look at my little future gang banger” kind of a picture, then 50/50. I have to admit, ghetto boy knocks up16 year old white girl and and then poses with her with a bb gun, not like it was a “Christmas Story/Red Ryder” moment, that would tick off any maternal grandmother/father.

Oh, wait…that’s not really news, is it?

Thank you Leslie for pointing out what constitutes poor handling of firearms by the irresponsible. Now point out RESPONSIBLE firearm ownership.

Did the police ascertain if the gun was loaded before making the arrest? Obviously not, since they never looked at the gun before the arrest. Sounds like lawsuit city here.

How are we supposed to understand and make conclusions if the mainstream media suppress the Facebook photo?

… we are not. We are only supposed to believe what we are told. We are not to think for ourselves using logic or reason, we are not to use the law as basis for decisions, we are to only use feelings. We are never to question, we are only to accept and conform.

    @#11 Sam Stone:
For those whose minds are not completely ossified by exposure to big-city East and West coast air, and are still capable of learning, try this for a start:

Note the data from Newsweek, hardly a Rush Limbaugh type medium.

And ONCE AGAIN, Leslie pipes up with her anti-gun tripe. Thanks again Leslie, for highlighting the fact that gun grabbers like yourself hate ALL guns, not just the “high capacity” ones ….

A note to all you fence riders out there, who think that some “common sense” gun regulation might be a good idea if it just “saves one innocent life” … People like Leslie have a clear and easily understood agenda … the elimination of ALL firearms. Period. Don’t think, for one minute, that they plan to stop pushing that agenda until ALL guns are illegal. These people are a scourge on our basic freedoms, and if you give them an inch, they’ll happily take it. Then, they’ll start working on taking the next one …

They’re like a cancer. Left unchecked, they will eventually destroy any semblance of freedom we ever had. The sooner we all realize that, the better.

So what if with today’s technology you post a ‘photoshop’ of something similar meaning the actual gun and child do not even exist?

The police report said the proximity of the gun posed substantial risk to the child. What if you have a picture of a child close to a kitchen counter with a knife on it? Walking close while you mow the lawn, close to a pool?

More kids drown in backyard pools than are killed with guns can you be arrested for that?

  • Flintstone F.

Did they expect the guy to still be standing there with his daughter and the gun? It was a photo. A past event.

How can they make an arrest at all? What crime was committed?

Well then you better call Wilson Dykes, and set the record straight. He thinks it was the baby’s maternal grandmother.

“Dykes claims that it was the baby’s maternal grandmother who saw the photo and called the police.”
