Danny Glover: Second Amendment was Created to Prevent Slave Revolts and Indian Uprisings (Video)

Far left actor Danny Glover told Texas A&M students Thursday that the Second Amendment was created to prevent slave revolts and Indian uprisings.

Campus Reform reported:

The Constitution’s Second Amendment was created to bolster slavery and capture land from Native Americans, award winning actor Danny Glover told a group of students at a Texas A&M sponsored event on Thursday.

“I don’t know if you know the genesis of the right to bear arms,” he said. “The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans.”

“A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the second amendment is,” he continued.

Glover, best known for roles in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise and “Angels in the Outfield,” was addressing students at an event being held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Director of Texas A&M’s Memorial Student Center, Luke Altendorf, told Campus Reform on Friday that the university was unaware of Glover’ talking points prior to his speech.

Don’t worry Danny, they’re not going to put shackles on your feet and have you chop cotton. Those evil white men like people who know how to work – not clowns and vaudeville men. Anyway, you’ve already wearing a ball-n-chain with all that racial hatred you spew every time you have a chance. Go kiss your Daddy’s butt and tell him what a great leader he is, you silly old negro.

Anyone can grow up to be a wealthy Hollywierd movie star who slurs America and Americans, is totally ignorant of the history of the natural right to self defense which is where the early European Natural Law. which the Founders were well aware of, and debated ad neasuem compared to the NO DEBATE of our government today.

This man makes his millions exploiting America’s appetite for violence and the use of firearms. This is immoral.

This is a man who hugged Hugo Chavez and gave a glaring supportive speech for him. This is immoral.

I would gladly buy Mr Glover a one way ticket to visit Hugo and 1 months rent if he was never able again to visit or work in America. He is an uneducated glassbowl elitist pig.

This is the left’s new tactic against guns. By claiming that the second amendment was for protecting slavery, the left can now claim that anyone who supports the second amendment is a racist.

Of course believing this new argument requires one to be completely ignorant of history. But then again the left is largely ignorant of history.

Isn’t it amazing that these people are so hipped on slavery when they have never exlperienced it?
Although Whoopie is afraid we will make her a slave “again” but then she has always been a few bricks short of a load or playing without a full deck.

Slaver ended in the US in 1865 (earlier by proclamation but not really until the end of the Civil War). That is 148 years ago. Their fathers, grandfathers, great grandfathers and great great grandfathers were never slaves. This is a case of a dog with a bone who never lets go of it. The old dim mantra, “never let a crisis go to waste or an opportunity pass you by”. You would think the US was the only country ever to condone slavery instead of the whole world. You would never know to hear them tell it that slavery is not still going on in Africa and all the ME. You would never know that people from African countries who came over here to live brought slaves with them. Hypocrites. They want reparations and will keep this crap alive until they get enough money from it which will be never since there is no such thing as enough money. Although some of them are getting those reparations through Pigford.

The blacks trash our founding fathers because they owned slaves. They never consider this was the norm at that time. Many of these founders hated slavery but could do nothing about it. They had enough trouble coming together as it was and felt that coming together to form a union was the most important thing. If people read history they would know it was not easy for everyone to agree on the Constitution. Besides, you cannot exchange today’s morals for the morals of the distant past. It was what it was and nothing anyone says or does can change it.

  • How did Danny ever escape from the plantation. Now he belongs in a mental institution. See where this is going, the Democrats are now trying to make Obama’s gun grab a racist thing. Only us white folks join the NRA and possess guns. I wonder if Danny ever checked the color of those murdered in Chicago and Philadelphia and what color most of the murders are? Gee Danny, taking away the white mans guns won’t stop you dark skinned racist from killing each other off.

  • Marsh626

Of course the White colonialists needed guns to protect themselves from the American Indians who were constantly raiding White colonies and massacring the settlers.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_massacre_of_1622

Are we supposed to be ashamed of that today because we now live in a make-believe era of racial harmony and diversity? And because most people today have been brainwashed into believing revisionist history where only Whites massacred the poor, poor Indians?

The ugly politically incorrect truth is that we still do indeed need guns today to protect ourselves from the Left’s ghetto brown trash criminal base. White “progressives” and brown people want us to be ashamed of that. But just go look at race and violent crime statistics to see that those fears aren’t merely unfounded racist paranoia.

These links are politically incorrect, I admit. But it’s the only place you’ll find such information hosted.

And watch this documentary about how shockingly depraved black [lack of] culture has become in far too many cities across America.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5MGJ87hPGw

The politically correct types – both Left and Right – will denounce me for posting this kind of information. But after my best friend was murdered by illegal immigrants, I simply refuse to bury my head in the sand and ignore these ugly racial realities anymore.

“Liberals” and brown people want to berate we White gun owners for having these racist paranoid fears of brown criminals. But those fears are pretty justified when one looks at the cold hard data…

  • So now according Danny Glover the 2nd Amendment was created to be used as a racist tool?! Danny Glover better watch out when Obama starts requiring the Doctors to report mental deficiencies he’ll be on the list of those to watch out for. Once again more proof of how looney the left is.

  • RKflorida

I keep thinking he got away with saying this at a University. What kind of brain dead students attend this university? No one walked out while this old tired negro was ranting and making up history? I’m afraid this nation cannot continue with this kind of ignorance and wicked intent being accepted by so many people. Today the Mooch announces a new organization for socialism “Organizing for Action” and crowds are going wild.

Day after day and even several times a day, the left pours out lies and accuses the opposition of doing the very thing they themselves do. And the bulk of the nation just goes along or doesn’t care! This is spooky folks.

The NRA Was There to Help Blacks
    Defend Themselves From KKK Democrats

BLACK HISTORY and the Second Amendment

[However, Monroe was KKK country. The Klan included in its membership
the sheriff, most police officers, several judges and every elected official
in the county. As the Black population grew more organized the Klan
    became more brutal.

Mr. Williams was a former U.S. Marine who understood that force must
be met with force, so in 1960 he turned to the nation’s oldest civil rights
organization for help. He applied to the National Rifle Association for a
local charter. The NRA issued him the charter and supplied firearms
    training material.

Officially sanctioned as the Monroe NRA Rifle Club Mr. Williams recruited
other Black veterans. The group armed themselves and started training
with their guns. This further infuriated the Klan but it also inflamed the
white liberals who had previously supported Mr. Williams and Dr. Perry.

The liberals were no more interested in seeing Black men exercising their Second Amendment rights than the Klan was. The White liberals were only interested in the Black population attaining some rights, not in securing the full rights afforded all free men by their creator.]

“Meanwhile, Danny Glover, an enthusiastic apologist for the Castro dictatorship, made headlines when he attempted to attack Juan Lopez Linares, a Brazilian citizen and Cuban refugee. Linares’ transgression, according to Glover, was making an appeal on behalf of his four-year-old son, detained by the Communist government of Cuba. After being restrained by security guards, Glover lashed out at Linares, calling him a ‘selfish man’ and chiding him for seeking ‘to talk about a personal case instead of highlighting the positive qualities of the [Castro] regime.'”

Our Second Amendment was borrowed from a similar provision in the English Bill of Rights of 1689:

“7. That the subjects which are protestants, may have arms for their defence

suitable to their conditions, and as allowed by law.”

    http://www.constitution.org/bor/eng_bor.txt

” One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[6] A scuffle over Black Coyote’s rifle escalated and a shot was fired which resulted in the 7th Cavalry’s opening fire indiscriminately from all sides, killing men, women, and children, as well as some of their own fellow troopers. “

How naive are you? He surrounded himself with children to sign 23 executive orders expanding gun control. This from Brietbart.com (1990’s is ancient history):

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/01/18/Barack-Obama-I-Don-t-Believe-People-Should-Be-Able-Own-Guns

When the two met, Lott’s reputation on guns preceded him, and Lott claims Obama said, “I don’t believe people should be able to own guns.”

    1. In a 1998 questionnaire for the Illinois state legislature, Obama said he wanted to “ban the sale or transfer of all sorts of semi-automatic weapons.”
    2. From 1998-2001 Obama was on the board of the Joyce Foundation, the “major funder for gun-control research” at that time.
    3. Obama opposes concealed carry and always has (every state but Illinois disagrees with him).
    4. Obama only sees two “legitimate” purposes for guns: “hunting and target shooting.” This means using guns for self defense is not legitimate. And this goes a long way in explaining Obama’s past support of laws banning the use of guns for self-defense in Illinois, even in one’s own home.

He surrounded himself with children to sign 23 executive orders expanding gun control.

Four children is hardly “surrounded.” And nothing in those 23 EOs will keep currently legal guns away from currently legal gun owners. Any real limitations would have to come from Congress, and they’re not in any mood to over-regulate, particularly the House. Nobody is going to take your guns. “Assault weapons” will not be banned. The most they might do is ban the future sale of high-capacity magazines, and I wouldn’t even put money on that.

Obama may think that private citizens should not have guns. But that is of little concern. He is not, and will never be a dictator, and it has nothing to do with you being armed.

If today’s blacks would do something to educate themselves, they would find that when we finally got to Timbuctoo and other slave owning regions, blacks were owned by Muslims and other blacks, just like here in America, blacks also owned blacks.
Our generation didn’t do it to their generation, time to move on. If they feel there was an Iin justice in being brought here, they are free to go from their ancestors came. I would bet there will no takers.
The second amendment was written for the people to protect themselves from the government, which is why we need to keep that right active. This gun control isn’t about gun control, it is about taking over completely. Taking from honest law abiding gun owners accomplishes nothing but to leave us defenseless when they come. Illegal gun owners will not suddenly register their guns and obey the laws.
According to their Agenda 21, some will be eliminated, others will become slaves. The very rich elite will rule. I can’t wait to see them turn on each other.

Gee Danny, were there alot of slave revolts and indian uprisings in Maine? How about Connecticut? With people like Danny, and Al, and Jessie, and Jamie Foxx color is the only thing they see, the only thing their brains can process. That the world was hostile, that the government was hostile, that we are getting back to a King and Decrees that limit our freedoms doesn’t matter when you hang out and are best buds with Chavez.

#76 Bravo. “Danny Glover is a racist moron.” Yep.

He has been for some time. He is the face of racism in 2013. This is what racism really looks like today. Reminds me of Obama. This wonderful country overcome evil with steady work of good people. Many of those people were Republicans.

This evil minded person can not see past ‘revenge’ for something that none of us are responsibile for today. He is the evil and racist of 2013. We have a group that call themselves the CBC in Congress. They are the face of racism in that body by embracing their name.

heh, we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.. 🙁

    The pro-choice case for infanticide.

[When circumstances occur after birth such that they would have justified abortion, what we call after-birth abortion should be permissible. … We propose to call this practice ‘after-birth abortion’, rather than ‘infanticide,’ to emphasize that the moral status of the individual killed is comparable with that of a fetus … rather than to that of a child. Therefore, we claim that killing a newborn could be ethically permissible in all the circumstances where abortion would be. Such circumstances include cases where the newborn has the potential to have an (at least) acceptable life, but the well-being of the family is at risk.]

White Paper. When Does Human Life Begin?

[Resolving the question of when human life begins is critical for advancing a reasoned public policy debate over abortion and human embryo research. This article considers the current scientific evidence in human embryology and addresses two central questions concerning the beginning of life: 1) in the course of sperm-egg interaction, when is a new cell formed that is distinct from either sperm or egg? and 2) is this new cell a new human organism—i.e., a new human being? Based on universally accepted scientific criteria, a new cell, the human zygote, comes into existence at the moment of sperm-egg fusion, an event that occurs in less than a second. Upon formation, the zygote immediately initiates a complex sequence of events that establish the molecular conditions required for continued embryonic development. The behavior of the zygote is radically unlike that of either sperm or egg separately and is characteristic of a human organism. Thus, the scientific evidence supports the conclusion that a zygote is a human organism and that the life of a new human being commences at a scientifically well defined “moment of conception.” This conclusion is objective, consistent with the factual evidence, and independent of any specific ethical, moral, political, or religious view of human life or of human embryos.]

You are a NUT JOB Mr. Glover! Another misinformed apparently uneducated unreading idiot of Hollywood. Mr. Glover, perhaps your ignorance should be educated on why WE THE PEOPLE have a BILL OF RIGHTS in the CONSTITUTION (YOU HAVE READ IT, HAVEN’T YOU MR. GLOVER?). We fought a war against a tyrannical government lead by a mentality challenged monarch to secure our rights from that government. What YOUR SKIN COLOR has to do with the BILL OF RIGHTS is NOTHING! LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN SO YOU GET THE POINT, NOTHING YOUR SKIN COLOR! It was by force and by arms that the British kept those things that are in the 1ST AMENDMENT (You do know what the First Amendments says right Mr. Glover? or are you that belligerent on that issue as well?) under wraps. As the American people attempted to express their discontempt with the so-called “stamp acts” through their churches and papers the British destroyed those institutions BY FORCE. Our Founding Fathers saw that a big central government (hence the reason we were a CONFEDERACY FIRST) was dangerous to the RIGHTS and FREEDOMS of the PEOPLE. It was only Shay’s Rebellion and the inadequacies of being able to call up militias from other states to put this rebellion down did OUR FOUNDING FATHERS for the said now REPUBLIC. In this forming they decided to INSURE THE FREEDOMS OF THE PEOPLE by a BILL OF RIGHTS (there was actually 15 original RIGHTS, did you know that Mr. Glover or are you that stupid as well?) from A TYRANNICAL IGNORANT SELF-SERVING TAX IMPOSING CENTRAL GOVERNMENT and part of that was for those peoples to PROTECT AND SERVE THEMSELVES FROM THAT GOVERNMENT BY ARMS. Stop using your ignorance and affluence to spread LIES AND DECEIT like your daddy in the White House!
