Barack Obama: I’d Get More Done Without FOX News and Rush Limbaugh …(Everyone Else Is In the Tank)

Barack Obama complained to The New Republic this weekend that he could get a lot more Republicans to buy into his radical agenda if it weren’t for FOX News and Rush Limbaugh.
(Everyone else is in the tank.)
NewsBusters reported:

FRANKLIN FOER, EDITOR NEW REPUBLIC: Are there any forces for reform within the Republican Party, people you’ve been able to establish some sort of working relationship with?

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Well, look, I’ve always believed that there are a bunch of Republicans of goodwill who would rather get something done than suffer through the sort of nasty atmosphere that prevails in Washington right now. It’s not a fun time to be a member of Congress.

And I think if you talk privately to Democrats and Republicans, particularly those who have been around for a while, they long for the days when they could socialize and introduce bipartisan legislation and feel productive. So I don’t think the issue is whether or not there are people of goodwill in either party that want to get something done. I think what we really have to do is change some of the incentive structures so that people feel liberated to pursue some common ground.

One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates. If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it.

It’s not a fun time to be a member of Congress.

Obama is very thin skinned and hates when facts and truths are told. .

Nothing riles him up more than when Fox or Rush use facts to
    Cal a spade a spade. . .

And if it weren’t for Congress and THAT Constitution. . man, Obama could be King! NOT!!!!

    Hillertarian. = Hitlertarian

[In fact, Hitler did strengthen the German establishment, but not
exactly in the way the bankers and businessmen had wanted; and
now, fifty years later, it is clear who was using whom. Nevertheless,
the Western World did not complain in 1933 because Hitler, though
a fascist and a totalitarian, was seen, like countless American puppet
dictators today, as <b.someone who leaves the established order in

Does anyone here still listen to Rush?

I remember when I started listening to him, and why. His content was “news” in every sense to me, in 1990, when I was fresh out of high school. At that point, at 19, 20 years old, I would read five newspapers every day — I was a concierge at a high-end Boston condo. The newspapers were very educational for me, when I discovered that the “opinion” columns on the Editorial page contained more truth and reporting than the so-called “reporting” part of the paper. I read WSJ, USA Today, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and NYT every single day.

Rush was ahead of the curve in 1990.

Rush is two-week-old news now, and most of it is irrelevant.

Q: Has Rush spoken at length about the Cloward-Piven Strategy?

Q: Has Rush mentioned Larry Bland, Donald Young, and Nate Spencer, even in passing?

Q: Has Rush devoted any airtime to the obviously-forged BC released by the White House on it’s very own website?

Like Palin, he has stopped fighting — or never started and fooled us the whole time.

Like a WWF fighter from 1990 or something.

We are a nation of cowards, and our “heroes” are just like us.

What you, and most folks here apparently, don’t understand is that Rush and FOX News are going just so far, and not stepping over any investigative lines that would actually endanger this administration.

FOX News and Rush Limbaugh are the same as McCain and Romney.

They are like, and unlike the character Butch in Pulp Fiction.

“Unlike” in that Butch didn’t take a dive as was agreed upon with Marcellus Wallace.

McCain, Romney, Rush and FOX News have taken the dive in the 5th round. And are “kickin’ it in the Caribbean”.

  • Rush isn’t talking about ICR2P either… the real power… the real building one-world government that in two months will again try to slam an arms treaty into what remains of America and the little pieces of freedom left in the world.

Rush barely ever grazes over the ICR2P spin-off from 1993 as well…… ICLEI……. The man always talks ‘environmental whackos’. Well, ICLEI is environmental Totalitarianism and it’s in every municipality, county and state, plus the feebs embrace it as if they invented it.

Beck is starting to get it, but he’s basically been marginalized and wants to sell you jeans at $150 per pair, God love the man as a Capitalist.

I’ve been trying to warn people for well over two decades about this building madness. In that time, I’ve been called out as being every tin-foil-hat comparison you can think of and some you can’t.

Look it up for yourselves…… No links this time.

Here’s a sobering thought…… If the Senate doesn’t pass “gun control” (and it starting to look like they won’t), you know the House won’t (they damn well better not), what’s the odds on El Guapo simply trying to exec-order 2A out of existence via simply accepting on behalf of the nation the arms treaty and in that same moment of time, at least one of the sane SCOTUS justices ‘has an accident’ ?

It’s getting to the point where any ‘dissenters’ remaining with a real voice heard by many will be ‘Breitbarted’.

Keep telling yourself it can’t happen here.

    It can.

    It is.

Some folks are saying that as a nation we can’t take another four years of this administration.

Other folks, like me, are saying that as a sovereign nation we can’t take another four months.

    Wake the hell up.

    It’s coming.

  • In other words, Obama said, “How dare the citizenry make their lowly opinions heard. If only the Congress could operate without outside input, we could get my agenda done.”

  • Conservative Ken

This is why we need Conservatives in Washington who will fight. We are fed up with Rino’s who appease, coddle, reach across the aisle, and then sell out. Obama will never own up to his failures and bipartisanship only allows him to deflect blame. The President will blame us anyway.

bit more here & here & here, in connecting links and threads..

[Approximately 11 million people were killed because of Nazi genocidal policy. It was the explicit aim of Hitler’s regime to create a European world both dominated and populated by the “Aryan” race. The Nazi machinery was dedicated to eradicating millions of people it deemed undesirable. Some people were undesirable by Nazi standards because of who they were, their genetic or cultural origins, or health conditions. These included Jews, Gypsies, Poles and other Slavs, and people with physical or mental disabilities. Others were Nazi victims because of what they did. These victims of the Nazi regime included Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals, the dissenting clergy, Communists, Socialists, asocials, and other political enemies.]

    Holocaust Remembrance Day

[On the sidelines of a ceremony in Milan, former Italian Premier Silvio
Berlusconi sparked outrage when he praised Benito Mussolini for `’having
done good” despite the Fascist dictator’s anti-Jewish laws. Berlusconi also
defended Mussolini for allying himself with Hitler, saying he likely reasoned
that it would be better to be on the winning side.

The Boy Prince is merely a Muslim figurehead of the International Socialist Movement. His handlers ingeniously knew the only Communist that guilty white Americans would accept would be a light-skinned black man who couched his radical philosophy in more comforting tones, such as caring for the environment, looking out for the little guy, and on and on.

Before the UN recently, the Boy Prince actually said, “The future does not rest with those that insult the prophet Muhammad.” So there we have it. He Is a Muslim.

just heard, “Rush Week in Review” today- repeating the first hour on the day of the Shrillary/Ben Gazzara useless, worthless Senate hearings

Rush went on and on and on and on describing how the “Ruling Class” circled the wagons for one of their own, regardless of Party, because of all she has “sacrificed” for the benefit of the Oligarchy. It was very funny, until after such a long while it finally hit me…

Rush was carefully describing the workings of Secret Societies. Of course, he doesn’t say that, but that’s what the term “Ruling Class” is referencing. The humor and the plausible deniability provides the means to get the message out, hidden in plain sight.

(not unlike Stanley Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut” which revealed tooo much)

You can bet the top conservative commentators know all about this, yet bend the knee ostensibly because they know the power of intimidation and how the game is played.

Pharaoh hates another opinion besides his own. He is a typical progressive liberal. He isn’t broad minded, tolerant. He is prejudiced, bigoted and narrow minded. Nothing new here. He is just like the Devil (Isa 14:12-14) where the Devil talks about himself with the word I.

Isa 14:12-14: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

I, I, I, I, I, I, and more I’s. What is the center letter in the word “die, sin, and pride”? Now you know the problem. It has always been YOU. Ye must be born again.

  • Rachelle

Unfortunately, Obama did not include the Constitution as an impediment to his power grab. He doesn’t take it seriously. It is ‘flawed’ because it doesn’t let him do whatever he wants.

  • Hera

Does anyone remember when Bill Clinton complained that Rush was on the air 3.5 hours a day (he also had a 30 min television show back then) while Clinton was just the POTUS so how could he compete. Obama is complaining that voices of those who don’t agree with him are actually being heard. If Obama’s policies are so good he shouldn’t be afraid to compete in the free market place of ideas.

  • CV1

I agree with Rachelle — Thank God for Rush Limbaugh and Fox News!!! Obama and his disciples would go unchecked otherwise.

  • Patty

very smitten and very problematic for his future. Because there isn’t just Fox to contend with, it is more than that. There are Americans, Judges and Lawsuits coming down the road and Obama being a “law professor” who was just knocked down a peg or two will see that he is no king, dictator and will be served up a dose of real reality. With or Without his hatred towards Rush, Fox or Congress.

There are real patriots, governors and courts who will not ever allow our freedom and Constitution to be burned because Obama just wants it that way.

Fear not because for all this Administration and its new group armed to tear this nation down, there is a Majority that will vote anyone who has voted for a new Obama decision that doesn’t reflect America’s views, freedoms and Constitution. And it will be most evident come 2014 elections.

He will be a lame duck. We could have won the senate and Jindal is so correct. Republicans need to stop being the party of stupid.

Barackmoud Obamadinejad now offers this insight:

“If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it.”

See, the “common interest” is always the Democrat way. Always.

Doesn’t that make it all so simple?

    OT
US Wasted Millions Of Dollars On Afghan Police Cars That Don’t Exist

The U.S. unnecessarily paid $6.3 million on contracts for Afghan police vehicles from April 2011 to September 2012, according to a report released last week from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).

    Afghanistan Humvee Mountains View

The latest gross overpayment stems largely from cash going to maintenance on vehicles that have been out of service for over a year or even had been destroyed.

As of November 2012, the U.S. has provided over 30,000 vehicles to the Afghan National Police (ANP), but the study shows a force still struggling with logistics and training needed to provide their own maintenance — forcing the U.S. to rely on outside contractors.

According to national security expert Anthony Cordesman, the U.S. is at least partly to blame.

“The bulk of the money actually spent inside Afghanistan went through poorly supervised military contracts and through aid projects where the emphasis was speed, projected starts, and measuring progress in terms of spending rather than results,” he wrote in a brief for the Center for Strategic & International Studies.

This isn’t the first such report from SIGAR. A cursory look at their website finds allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse as common in Afghanistan as dirt.

Nearly every career politician on BOTH sides is HEAVILY funded by Planned Parenthood in their campaigns…NOW is it so mysterious why they are so friendly?

All the politicians who clearly were not in Planned Parenthood’s pocket and discussed this topic NOTICEABLY were abandoned.

With this topic completely abandoned…and with this topic CLEARLY resonating in every country with the citizens…

WE KNOW that these politicians ARE in the tank because they are, like Obama, holding an agenda that calls for us to depopulate, disarm and disengage from faith.

#57 Charles, it’s not this administration: It’s ALL our career politicians.

POLITICS is not a career. It was supposed to be a short term sacrifice of time to represent the people and then a return to private, tax paying citizenship.

as you see, career politics in AMerica is no different from any other: the recipe for corruption, elitism and prescribing death for any citizens too costly for a nanny state government intent on privately building a utopia for its leaders, while slowly putting to death upwardly mobile, middle class moral, free majorities.

IT’s transparent. Look at who we are funding all the thugs. Chicago’s murder rate is left as is while the murderous thugs mysteriously turn up not in jail but in the ‘obama youths’, smiled upon with pleasure by Rahm and Obamalevolence.

Cannot access comment thread for GP’s post re SNIPER FIRE on citizens in EGYPT — so I’ll post comment here…

I fully expect that to happen here.

I recall reading (several yrs. ago) a Middle Eastern man being stopped with over $30,000 worth of sniper rifles in his automobile. He’d come over our northern border and I believe was stopped in Washington state. Don’t know what happened to him…

Probably nothing…more likely than not, he’s part of Barry’s Civilian Force.

(This may not post on this thread – not showing “preview”…)

    fascism

I see at least nine out of fourteen characteristics in the Obama regime. What do you think??????

    Fourteen Defining Characteristics Of Fascism
    By Dr. Lawrence Britt

Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:

    1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism – Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

    2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights – Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of “need.” The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

    3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause – The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

    4. Supremacy of the Military – Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

    5. Rampant Sexism – The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.

    6. Controlled Mass Media – Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

    7. Obsession with National Security – Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

    8. Religion and Government are Intertwined – Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.

    9. Corporate Power is Protected – The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

    10. Labor Power is Suppressed – Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

    11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts – Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.

    12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment – Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

    13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption – Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

    14. Fraudulent Elections – Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
