“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.”

There are so many issues here to argue about. Which is exactly why they are doing the way they are.
1. Background checks are dangerous because it allows THEM to set what is qualified and what is not, according to bureaucrats who will be eager to squeeze down on the requirements.
2. Background checks on ammo buys. To make a list of what kind of ammo you buy, which indicates what kind of gun you own. Outlaw .223 assault types and demand registration, then follow Mr Jones’ purchases to see he bought .223 ammo for a gun he claimed he didn’t own and you have PC for a warrant signed by a liberal gun hating judge.
3. Crime will go down/for the safety of the children. I answer it here.

4. Hitler is not stupid, neither was Stalin, almost all the African dictators and now our people. Sad that we’ve allowed someone from liberal Chicago with the name “barack Hussain Obama” anywhere near the White House, but that is a result of greed, ignorance and race. But we are here now.
So, what to do. Write/call your congressman and identify yourself as the feared “single issue” voter. If they support gun control you promise them you’ll do everything you can to run them off. Call Walmart and others and remind them WE keep them in business.
Someday we may face the time when Hitler and Stalin will applaud our leaders for their “good work” on gun control. Hopefully not today. I say refuse any adjustments. No more background, no keeping of lists of purchases, no magazine limitations. Tell them to shut up and go back to D.C. or Chicago where guns are limited and crime is out of control.

I’m down for 100% background checks. On two (at least) conditions:
1-They remove all mention of the serial number and type of firearm being transferred. This is merely a verification of someone’s ability to purchase a firearm, not a record of what they have.
2-It must cost 5 dollars or less, and be available via phone to any citizen who wishes to call.

As we look through the lens of history, these patterns seemingly repeat themselves in endless cycles. Now we are in a place where good and bad, life and death, left and right, are purposefully confused by the split tongue leftists who toady up to Obama and his legion of minions.
