Rick Warren on Obama: “Biggest Disappointment Is the Disunity… Our Nation Is More Divided Than Any Time Since Civil War” (Video)

Pastor Rick Warren was a guest this morning on FOX News Sunday. The popular evangelical weighed in on the Obama presidency:

“I don’t know what his (Obama) biggest accomplishment would be. I really don’t know that. My biggest disappointment is the disunity. President Obama ran saying “I’m going to be a unifier” and our nation is more divided than ever before. I think our nation is more divided than any time since the Civil War. That’s disheartening.”

  • Yup. Mission accomplished, Padre.

  • Objective Analysis

What do you expect from a Communist/Marxist/Socialist/Fascist community agitator? Liars don’t care about the truth or being unified. He is like the muslim faith he proposes under sharia law, to have peace you must surrender.

That will never happen to an American Patriot. We will keep our Constitution and guns and let the dumb and stupid followers of his fall off the cliff.

  • JRidge

Rick, if you’re disappointed in Obama that means you believed the hype.

    Welcome to the party, pal!!

” I think our nation is more divided than any time since the Civil War.” That was Obama’s plan. Divide and conquer. It’s going exactly as he wanted. I can think of alot of other words to describe Obama and his administration other than disheartening. Can’t print them here.

I’m sorry, but in my opinion, this man is a fool. He hasn’t seen anything yet. Obama is going to unify the nation; when he’s done we are all going to be considered his slaves by the rest of the world . . . . ALL equal under the heel of the Dear Leader.

  • charliewalksonwater

Rick Warren has been exposed as a self serving hypocrite. He preaches new-age gospel, not the gospel of Christ.

  • driguana

I would hope that we will now start hearing the mantra….”It’s Obama’s fault”…just like we did about Bush because in reality, it is Obama’s fault. He has done nothing but be a game show host president. He is a disuniter, has pitted blacks against whites, wrecked the economy, is a horrible speaker, not very smart…and people still believe in him…amazing. Well, you all voted for him so now the situation is all yours. He had absolutely no credentials to be the president and has been elected for a second term…it’s just absolutely astounding to me.

  • Gravelyvoice Jim

Warren is a progressive. He also excused Obama during the interview saying he is “…only human…”. Warren also indicated we need to look at more gun control laws as part of the solution to the violence in schools…

  • pitting people againist each other is what marxists do.

  • Rick Warren helped Obama get elected the first time by giving him Christian “cred” instead of exposing him as the baby butcher and Marxist God-hater he is. The question about abortion and when does life begin and the “that’s above my pay grade” answer should have been a red flag, but Warren just ignored it. Rick Warren needs to ask for forgiveness, leave the ministry, and never be heard from again unless he gives up his apostasy and repents and becomes a true Christian.

How anybody could have thought Obummer would be a uniter is a mystery. Was there any evidence at all that he had ever been a uniter before the 2008 election?

He read words from a teleprompter to the effect that he was going to unite people, and a host of gullibles who should have known better thought, “Ah, he’s such a great uniter! Gotta vote for him!”

  • dba_vagabond_trader

Bet he voted for him first time around. Fool.

  • Old Glazier

Rick needs a good diet and some sound doctrine.

  • Ripped

Are you still wondering why 0bama admires Abe Lincoln? Who cares what Rick Warren has to say, he lost all credibility back in 2008 when he endorsed 0blunder.

  • Maudie N Mandeville

    Oh really, Ricky?

  • Kate

“How anybody could have thought Obummer would be a uniter is a mystery” and all who voted for him… “There’s a sucker born every minute” is a phrase often credited to P. T. Barnum. I’d say he nailed it. We have a country stock full of them.

Corinthians 6:16 ” Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh”

The disunity is the LEAST disappointing aspect of the Obama cult . It is Encouraging to see a large segment of the population remains faithful to God and America as it was founded and will not bow down to Satan’s apostle as their lord and savior.

    really now..

[“At a press conference on December 1… the possible Presidential contender said, ‘…the network that Saddleback has helped to create has as much reach as any institutional force in our culture and has probably a wider reach around the world than just about anything that’s going on right now…. I hope one of the things that comes out of this conference that Pastor Rick has emphasized again and again, is no single branch of our society is going do this alone. If government thinks they can do it by themselves they’re wrong. Churches have to recognize that they’ve got to be partners with the government. Business has an enormous role….]

“I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

‘We are God’s partners in matters of life and death’

‘my individual salvation is not gonna come about
without a collective salvation for the country’ ….

the door of God, is fastened on the shoulders of man.”

  • Mr. Warren, with NO due respect… ALL the signs were there BEFORE the 2008 election.

YOU chose to offer the legitimacy of your ministry to this evil, petulant little would-be dictator.

I hold you accountable for your part in the useful idiocy of my countrymen, Mr. Purpose Driven Life.

  • Lady Mondegreen

Rick Warren is little more than a carnival barker. He’s a con artist with a Jesus pitch.

  • Patty

And he was unleashed from day one. We here saw it coming. Took Warren a bit longer.

  • Patty

But the more a Public figure says it a bit better I feel.

  • greenfairie

Well, Rev. Warren, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Obama wants to make anyone not on his side the Kulaks of Russia a century ago, the Jews and gypsies of 1930s Germany, or the Tutsis of 1990s Rwanda. Why do you think they’re so eager to disarm all Americans?

  • Pastorius

The question is, why was Rick Warren (who is, indeed, an intelligent guy) so stupid as to believe that Obama would be a “unifier”.

    So incredibly stupid.

  • Buffalobob

Anyone who was paying attention would have seen that obama missed his opportunity to unite this great nation. He was labeled as the first black president after Clinton. Instead of advancing race relations he and his racist wife condemned this country and the people in it. He has deliberately advocated class envy and has added fuel to everything perceived race related incident.

  • Buffalobob

I’ll bet that the main topic at his lavish cocktail parties in the Hampton’s was about just how obama is the mostest, smartest, brilliant, super orator, coolest, hip, black man ever.

  • Ray

I still remember when he said when life begins was above his pay grade. How any Christian or observant Jew could vote for him after that is beyond me.

  • hdx2

Mr. Warren, the evidence available was contrary to your perception of who this person is/was. You, like many of our voting populace either knows and agrees with this agenda of idiocy or you didn’t do your homework. It was obvious to me during the debate that you were an Obama supporter as you let so much he said slide instead of holding his feet to the fire. Maybe you should change your career from being a pastor to being an NBC journalist (propagandist).

  • BettyLou

Rick Warren who preaches a different gospel, a PURPOSE for this and a PURPOSE for dat.
    Warren endorsed Obama the demoRAT.

  • BettyLou

Any pastor who preaches for more gun CONtrol which only infringes upon the rights of law abiding citizens has to be a demon from hell.

  • AuntieMadder

Even if Warren had made this statement a couple of months ago, when it might have helped change the outcome of the 2008 elections, I still wouldn’t take him of my list of Pieces Of S-it.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

“I don’t know what his (Obama) biggest accomplishment would be. I really don’t know that.”

Only one question needs to be put to this Warren guy: “Did you vote for Obama?”

  • dunce

Hope obama is going to accomphish anything good in one hand and catch your feces in the other anr 4 years later one hand would still be empty.

I don’t know who this person is, but he’s obviously a moron. It’s people like him that got us into this horrific mess. So, do I want to hear what he has “discovered?” Hell no. Shut the hell up.

  • J

In retrospect it is now evident that the conversation warren held with the candidates, mccain and obama, was above his pay grade.

  • Look-Out

Rick Warren, you helped enable this guy to win. You could have AT LEAST apologized for your role. But that would require admitting error.

It didn’t take much, btw, to see through the fraud. But you were bamboozled. Is your knowledge of Christ as limited and superficial as your knowledge of presidential candidates?

Maybe already you’ve stopped to wonder if you’re leading your sheep astray on the far larger issue of salvation. Let’s hope you especially don’t want to get that one wrong.

  • journeyman

Just another stupid Christian thinking he is astute politically -and by displaying his disappointment he shows how gullible he was & how far he is behind the learning curve. Hitler did the same thing to a lot of members of the Lutheran Church in Germany during his rise to power. Pastor Warren seems to have forgotten that lesson.

  • journeyman

Just another stupid Christian thinking he is politically astute and displays his gullibility and lack of wisdom by his surprise at the real Obama. Much of the state church in Germany fell for the same thing from. Hitler during his rise to power. I guess that lesson from history was one Mr. Warren failed to learn.

  • Pink Tie Republican

Rick is a giant douchebag, and would not know Jesus if Jesus kicked him in the balls.

  • Gail

Rick, old saying, “To thine own self be true.” Go back to where you came from, we don’t need your steenkin help.

Like we didn’t all know this???? UHHHHH……Rick DUHHHH….You could have talked all week and never said that!

  • atticcellar

Where is his discernment? And he’s a Christian leader? You will know them by their fruits!

  • AmericaWILL

How many times has Rick Warren kicked himself in the butt for supporting the disunifier ?

  • Rosemary Woodhouse

We must come together as Americans and force congress to impeach the Trojan Horse- especially before he stacks SCOTUS. Those are LIFETIME appointments. Once that’s done, play Taps. Unfortunately, too many congressmen and women are communist infiltrators as well. It took decade to implement. Not only were they patient, they were successful.

Where’s our Joe McCarthy because what is going on in D.C. absolutely warrants a House UnAmerican Activity Committee (HUAC)!?

  • Ella

People like Rick Warren are responsible for the situation we find ourselves in. This man ought to hang his head in shame.

    Thanks a whole lot, Rick.

  • victoria in san diego

    irondiopriest nailed it.

the “above my pay grade” comment was a BIG RED FLAG.
any thinking person knew barry was a socialist with a chip on his shoulder.
warren is a fraud pretending this is such a surprise.
