Home improvement store Menards pulled plans to build in O’Fallon, Missouri.
The company blamed Obama for the decision.
KMOV reported:
The city of O’Fallon Missouri will lose potential tax revenue after the home improvement store Menards pulled out of plans to establish a location in the area. The company is blaming the Obama administration for the project’s failure.
Menards, which is based in Wisconsin, is moving into the St. Louis market with stores opening in Manchester, O’Fallon Illinois and St. Peters in the next six months.
A Menards spokesperson says the company no longer plans on adding a store in O’Fallon, Missouri because of the President’s economic policies.
“We are on schedule to open our new stores in O’Fallon, IL and St. Peters, MO this Spring, 2013. For O’Fallon, MO, I’m very sorry, but we are a family owned business and with the Obama Administration scaring the dickens out of all small businesses in the USA at present, we have decided not to risk expansion until things are more settled. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

I’ll be posting some inanity just as soon as I get my opinion from moveout.org or thinkregress.org.

They’re just confused, it’s really Bush’s fault.

That’s really too bad, Menards has it ALL over Home Depot & Lowes.

I am sad at this news, so many opportunities, job growth, etc… now unable to be a hope for the O’Fallon, MO community. But I’m happy that the company chose to explain the truth behind their decision… maybe if more employers would be honest, people who are asleep and hoping for the utopian society to continue to cradle them, will wake up and fight for survival.

#3 : Agreed. Menards rocks. I like them even more after reading this.

Is it o’fallen illinois or o’fallen missouri? I see both in the announcement. I guess MO since that would put the stores relatively close to each other.

The first indication is that it was posted here. LMAO
Plus, it seems Menards is not slowing down in opening new stores.

So why would they say such a thing? Perhaps it has something to do with avid Republican supporter John Menard, Jr.
BTW, I’m not the one perusing ideological blog sites looking for talking points.

Shadow- You say “Menards is not slowing down in opening new stores.”
The plans for the store openings you list were all done BEFORE the actual re-election of the anti-business leftists. Probably Menard was just as surprised as the rest of us who care for America’s future that the incompetent Obama won – probably more so, since Menard’s was making large investments based on expectations of a competent government. Boy was he wrong – we have incompetency in spades. (See: Fiscal cliff and the lack of leadership by Obama in dealing with the deficit.)

As was the one in O’Fallon, Mo. Your point?
Infidel Jack commented:
I moved to Mexico because of O’Bama. Maybe Menards will move down here. Here in Puebla we have eternal spring. Daytime temps at 75 and the 40′s overnight.
Infidel Jack commented:
Shadow, the point is the U6 or the real unemployment rate is almost 15% and we are $16 TRILLION IN DEBT. The debt is rising at over $1.5 TRILLION A YEAR. And the Democrats have refused to propose a budget since they took control of Congress in 2007. That means we have been on Continuing Resolutions which increase everything by 8% across the board every year. The Huose Republicans have passed budgets for FY2011, 2012 and 2013 on which Harry Reid will even not allow a floor debate.
Obama wants to raise the debt endlessly and raise taxes until the entire country is completely destroyed.
Phil commented:
It is really George Washington’s fault for making this a free country and allowing free enterprise in the first place. Oh by the way, what goofball in the project planning department builds a store and opens it up right after the Christmas rush? And he wants to blame Obama…. hahahahaha.
