Claire McCaskill Feels Sorry For John Boehner For Not Wanting to Raise Taxes

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill feels sorry for Boehner for not wanting to raise taxes. The liberal from Missouri says Boehner is under pressure from the extreme “far right wing of the Republican Party” who support lower taxes, balanced budgets and limited government.
TPM reported:

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said that she feels “almost sorry” for House Speaker John Boehner during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday, explaining that Boehner is in a tough spot because of the far-right wing of the Republican Party.

“I feel almost sorry for John Boehner,” McCaskill said. “There is incredible pressure on him from a base of his party that is unreasonable about this. And he’s gotta decide, is his speakership more important, or is the country more important. And in some ways, he has got to deal with this base of the Republican Party, who Grover Norquist represents.”

McCaskill continued to talk about Norquist: “And you know, everybody’s elevated Grover — I mean, I met him for the first time this morning, nice to meet him — but you know, who is he? Why is he this guy that has captured so much attention in this?”

What the fukc is Democrat’s obsession with “extreme “far right wing of the Republican Party”??? What does that even mean at all? Freaking libtards.

  • I have three Hostess Cakes. Government takes one. They then come back after eating it, and say “we need to take one more.” I say NO, I bought them, I will keep a larger and fair share of MY Hostess Cakes that I earned! … yep, looks like I’m one of those far right wing people.

  • RE #2 … a silly analogy yes, but I’m eating a yummy SuzieQ and will NOT share! :p

If money from 2% can “help” the economy so much, why not get even more tax money from 100%? Is this about helping the economy or punishing the few who managed to make and/or invest their income??

Put a limit on it, just like the Bush tax cuts had a limit.

  • #4 …

100% does not pay taxes and taking even more tax money from the percent that does, will do nothing but grow the over bloated government to a larger entity as they continue to spend up what is given and then more. It’s an illusion that collecting more tax will ‘fix’ this governments economic situation.

Glad to hear Senator McCaskill speak up and it’s “almost” feels sorry. In other words she doesn’t.

And many thanks to Missourians for Todd Akin.

We on the left really appreciate it. 6 more years of a dem from Missouri.

    Long live the Tea Party!

  • With any respect that may be due, who the heck is Claire McCaskill? I mean I know she is an elected Senator, but I find that to be a reprehensible profession. And given her proclivity for graft and corruption, she should not throw stones at anyone. Her time will likely come.

  • OBAMA ACTS LIKE NAPOLEON: The President’s offer (on the fiscal cliff deal) is not a serious one, if compromise were what he was seeking. It betrays his real purpose: to drive the Republicans and the nation over the fiscal cliff. In a move Napoleon would have approved, he is attempting to turn his narrow victory in November into decisive victory in January.

Thanks to Todd Akin….the rest of us (Non-Missourians) have to listen to Air-Claire’s $hit.

  • bluespapa

I like that, put a time limit on it, like the Bush tax cuts had a time limit. That’s good! Made my day.

  • if boehner “decides what is good for the country” he will cut taxes to take every penny he can out of the hands of the politicans that have spent this country to the verge of bankruptcy. he will put that money back into the hands of the people that worked for it and earned. they will spend much more wisely that politicans.

“There is incredible pressure on him from a base of his party that is unreasonable about this.”

What exactly is unreasonable about being determined to put the brakes on government overspending?

  • Woody Pfister

That beast McCaskill refused to pay taxes on her private jet until she was caught. Her hHubby build government subsidized housing and nursing homes and she has the nerve to go all sanctimonious on the Sunday shows. “Barack Obama has no greater friend than Claire McCaskill.”

When there is no more Money for your social agenda and programs? What are you gonna decide to do? Loot,Rob,Cheat,Steal? Try and come for us so called Right wingers firearms?

wake up claire we are already over the cliff what a fraud

  • Norquist just needs to keep his mouth shut!! He doesn’t represent anyone, let alone the Constitutionalists in both Houses. And Clare what is so extreme about low taxes, having a budget, and a limiting the government as to what they can “do for you, and to you.” as Obama said in an interview when asked about the Constitution. He said that he believed that the Constitution was “…a document of negative rights of the government as to what they can do for you and to you.”

McCaskill is another Socialist/Communist, I don’t see much difference between the two really, they both are anti-American, and she feels sorry for Boehner for all the wrong reasons. All she stands for is the usurption of the Constitutional authority of that document that she doesn’t believe in either. She needs to be arrested for conspiracy to commit Treason along with all the other Socialist Democrats in the entire government. The State Dept. needs to be shut down immediately before Obama authorizes Agenda 21, the Law of the Seas Treaty(isn’t that right? Or something. I’m not sure about the proper title, besides who cares), the Small Arms Treaty, and all the rest.

I’ll bet Clair is in favor of Agenda 21 and can’t wait to vote for it!!

Every day it gets closer and closer to all out “Acting On Our Constitutional Right”!!

  • jharp

I mean, come on you greedy Tea Party anti-Americans.

When the country is in trouble and facing the fiscal cliff, Republicans allow the uber rich to shirk their constitutional responsibilities.

Sleep well, rich greedy Tea Party.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

Republicans allow the uber rich to shirk their constitutional responsibilities.

The “uber rich” are already taxed at a higher rate than most everyone else. How “fair” is that?

  • RickZ

If corporate bennies are taxable, like company cars, then government bennies should be taxable as well. Medicaid, food stamps, section 8 housing vouchers all have value and should be taxed. When it’s better financially for the Free Shyt Army to get a job rather than take from the government, then this fical mess will start to turn around.

I’d be interested in hearing from our new resident moronic troll why the poor shouldn’t pay income taxes as that’s around 40% of the population who get to skip the April 15th Angst and Anger Fest. And really, isn’t it fair that they have skin in the game, too?

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

When the country is in trouble and facing the fiscal cliff,…

Whose fault is that? Did the “uber rich” run up four years worth of trillion dollar deficits? Did the “uber rich” put the country sixteen trillion dollars in debt? Did the “uber rich” create entitlement programs that are threatening to spin out of control (as if they aren’t already)?

Is that really all that liberal idiots like you do all day? Obsess about all that money that “uber rich” people have, as if they wallow in mountains of it like Scrooge McDuck?

And they have the nerve to act as if they’re morally superior to everyone else…

  • shadow

Thanks to Todd Akin….the rest of us (Non-Missourians) have to listen to Air-Claire’s $hit.

I’d say you could thank the Republican voters of Missouri for choosing him in the first place.

  • cavt

I am so sick of ‘have to pay their fair share.’ What the h____ does this mean? No dem/Obamaite will define this. Once in a while I actually see a newsperson have the guts to ask a dem this question, and after 2 minutes of BS they give up never getting an answer. What % is fair? What amount is fair? If this can’t even be defined, how can you discuss it let alone effect it. Oh for just one republican that would keep demanding this definition from dem/Obamaites. Don’t let it go. Refuse to discuss tax increase until this is defined.

  • shadow

What the **** is Democrat’s obsession with “extreme “far right wing of the Republican Party”??? What does that even mean at all?

Easy! The extreme far right believes that Obama was born in Kenya, and that the election was stolen. The extreme far right believes the govenment has been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, on our way to a secular communist dictatorship. The extreme far right would rather have the US default on it loans, than raise the debt ceiling.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

    Easy!

I’ll make it even easier: To Democrats, the “far right” is everyone to the right of center.

  • DomesticGoddess

Another troll posting here. Hey JHarp, get out of your parents’ basement and contribute YOUR tax dollars. What’s the definition of “fair share” when half of the country doesn’t even PAY taxes???

  • Owen

Missouri voted against Obama in a landslide. She should represent her state.

  • BigRed

    Dear Claire,

I have not moved to the far right. My views are what used to be known and still should be known as mainstream conservatism. You and your party however have moved your chairs to the far-left. It’s all about perspective.

  • Lightwave

“McCaskill continued to talk about Norquist: “And you know, everybody’s elevated Grover — I mean, I met him for the first time this morning, nice to meet him — but you know, who is he? Why is he this guy that has captured so much attention in this?”

Because he wants to make the federal Leviathan small enough to drown in a bathtub.

We need to start with red state Democrats like Claire, yes?

  • theBuckWheat

The Left (er, now “progressives”) love to scold the rest of us about “sustainability”. Indeed they have an entire Agenda 21 based on that theme. However, government spending waaaay more than it takes in is not “sustainable”, and it doesn’t matter who does or who does not care about it. It is not “right wing” to be fiscally responsible. And Mommy Clair must surely know because she is a CPA! But sadly it appears that Mommy Clair is afflicted with liberalitus, a disorder of reasoning skills that allows political beliefs to trump economic reality.

  • Captain Kirk

    shadow,

you’re a moron. There’s no such thing as far right extremists. That would mean total anarchy…

Far left wings like Claire is really more of hard core socialist or communists…

  • AnnaS

As far as I can tell, you folks in Missouri re-elected this .
