Whoa! Even Dan Rather Says “It’s Going to Be a Good Day For Romney”

Even Dan Rather, the poster child of media bias, admitted on Morning Joe today that it is likely going to be “a good day for Romney.”
The Politico reported:

Longtime television journalist Dan Rather said on Tuesday that reporters shouldn’t predict elections based on their gut — but added that his tells him Mitt Romney will have a good day.

“Something in my gut tells me that it’s going to be a good day for Romney,” Rather said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Too bad (for him) Mr. Dan couldn’t/wouldn’t take his own advice in 2004 when he made up stories/manufactured “evidence” about a candidate so the election would be influenced.

Heh. Too much gut, not enough facts. Rather won’t admit the numbers are on our side. That’s why Rather is not at CBS TV anymore. :)

HELP MAKE SURE IT’S A GOOD DAY FOR ROMNEY, AND FOR AMERICA, BY MAKING CALLS FOR ROMNEY FROM HOME TO HELP GET OUT THE VOTE. DO. IT NOW. LET’S TAKE THIS ALL THE WAY TO THE FINISH LINE! IT’S NOT TIME TO SIT BACK, WAIT, AND WATCH, IT’S STILL TIME TO WORK!

This is going to sound strange, but I’m pretty sure Rather is quoting himself from 1980. I have a specific memory that when he took to the airwaves in ’80, while he didn’t come right out and say “Reagan won,” he telegraphed that pretty strongly by saying something like, “All indications are that this will be a very good day for Ronald Reagan.” (Exit polls were coming into vogue around then.) Not sure why I happen to remember this after all these years; just one of those random snippets you happen to remember.

I suspect you are correct, this does sound like a recycled Ratherism; trying to keep the Progressive faith alive in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Mr. Dan would probably prefer to swallow his tongue than outright say a Republican won.

Dan Rather has never been correct about anything in his life. He’s a shill devoid of morals. I’ve despised him since JFK was assassinated.

But I hope, for the first time in his life, Rather is right about something

Stay calm, reverent, humble and in prayer. When Romney wins, I will not make the Obama supporters eat crow.

I will offer them a hand up. I will show equality and kindness. This nation needs to be healed. This nation needs to repent.

    Just sayin.

I am with you Thomas. Lord, just think how things would be different if it were not for the internet. Thank goodness “The One” did not shut it down before the Election. Thanks to you Jim Hoft and to Breitbart and to drudgereport and to the blaze, and for that matter realclelarpolitics too.
